Went during a parking lot sale, and saw a tool chest that Ive been eying for a long time. It was "open box" as well, meaning it was a super good deal. This was a total impulse buy, but I ran inside to find someone to help me. In the meantime another patron showed up and purchased it out from underneath me. I was devastated! But before I even had time to shed a tear, the manager, CJ, immediately offered to sell me a brand new (not open-box) version of the same chest for the same price as the open box version. No bartering on my part, no hassle. As this was impulsive, I was driving my wifes Prius instead of my Tacoma. CJ was up for the challenge of forklifting a 56" tool chest into the back of the little car, and took the time to ensure it actually fit. We all cheered when the hatch actually closed---almost like something out of a movie! Service like this is the reason that I am loyal to Harbor Freight, and the Orem store has always put the customer first in my experience. Highly recommend!

I visited this orem location on labor day and spent 400 dollars on tools. They were out of a set of wrenches so i came back a week later and the shelf still was empty. I asked the lady in the front if she could check for more in the back. She did. As i waited close to 15 minutes i still wasnt getting any help. Another guy comes up asking to check in the back for a socket. They go ahead and help him. Craig, the back room guy goes and trys to find it. They had ignored me. So i went to the back room doors and waited for craig to come out. When he came out, i said i have a question. Very ignorantly he said to me that hes helping other people. I left this store and wont be back. I will take this to corporate about craig. He is very rude and ignorant. I would be embarassed to have an employee like craig. This store has horrible customer service!

If I could give less than 1 star I would! I was just in there to purchase a cut off saw for my son. There wasnt one on the shelf and not a employee in sight but the clerks at the check stand with long lines. So I walked to the back of the store to see if I could find someone. There was an older man wrapping a box in shrink wrap he looked like he had ear phones in so when I said "hello?" He didnt even flinch, so I waited until he was finished and he kept his back to me so I said "Hello?" again. And he barked so rudely " I heard you!" I said "Well you could have acknowledged me" and He told me to "calm down!". I told him not to talk like that to me and I would be speaking to his manager. Well he was the manager! I will not be buying anything from Harbor Freight again. And Craig if you read this you are STILL a JERK!

Somebody on youtube suggested me for this shop. Really nice shop with good variety. You have to know what you want ....and you get good quality tools at very affordable price, cheaper than Amazon. Recently I purchased a lot of tools and the n realized that they had better ones like ratcheted ones so I returned the others and they accepted it NO QUESTIONS. yes its true that you will not find anyone who will assist you and the counters are normally busy and they do not pay attention to your queries. So do research and then go the shop and buy. So enjoy tool shopping !!! Cheers

Make sure you are apart of the super saver club, and compare all the ads against each other. You will be amazed at how much you can save. Often in the same advertisement they will have the same product listed twice at two different prices. Thats the reason for 4 starts instead of 5. The most amazing part about Harbor Freight is if you take advantage of those avenues I just mentioned you get product, tools, and hard to find items at ¼ the price of a Home Depot or Lowes and often its the same brand!! Just keep you eyes open and look through all their flyers.

Bought an Air Compressor. No, I didnt get the extended warranty because if you use something once a month or less is shouldnt ever break. Well, pulled out the brand new air compressor and it malfunctioned. Called Harbor Freight and told them I had just bought it a month ago but my wife like to throw EVERYTHING in the trash so I dont have the receipt but I signed up for their $40/ year membership. "Sorry, without the receipt there is nothing we can do."

Cheap tools. Enough said. Lower stars because of horrible return policy of no receipt = no credit/no nothing. Bought something 10 days ago that didnt work. Found every receipt on earth but their one. Had credit card statement with that as only purchase. No exceptions. Not worth it to save a couple of bucks on Chinese made tools when the return policy is so horrible. Will just hit the Depot from now on and pay a little more.

Bought a floor jack for a gift and when it was delivered the box was all shredded. I tried to return it because I wasnt going to give as a gift looking like that and they wouldnt give my money back they said they could only give me a gift card. When I pay with cash and show a receipt I expect cash back and instead get a gift card that is useless to me. Makes me never want to go there again!

Id been standing in line for 5 minutes to pay for my items when a manager came and cut off the line 2 people ahead of me and said I need all of you to find another line. I have to get her on break. All the other lines were very long as well as the one I was in. Everyone there was upset and told him so. I told him I wouldnt be coming back and he said thats fine we have plenty of customers

This is a great place for relatively inexpensive tools that you will use once, or infrequently. Some of the tools are surprisingly good quality, and the variety is pretty amazing. You can find all sorts of specialty tools here that you might need in a pinch. Some of the tools are junk, but they have a decent 90-day return policy on most (if not all) items. Just keep your receipt!

When I walk into Harbor Freight I loose all sense of time. There is so much stuff packed in such a small square footage! The most impressive part is that the employees seem to know where to point you to every time. Their coupons and mailers pack some heavy duty discounts. There are always free items that they are offering too, and its almost always no purchase needed.

Harbor Freight is great for those tools you may not need every day but use often enough to buy. Many (possibly all, but Im not sure) hand tools have a lifetime warranty so you can simply bring it back to any Harbor Freight for replacement, no receipt needed. Not the highest quality, but the price is consistently affordable and that adds wire a bit of value.
