Im surprised this place is still in business. The store is dumpy looking and management needs to change. We took a sunscreen in to have part of the frame replaced and to have it re-screened. Larry did a great job, but it wouldnt fit in the window when we got home. Took it back and he was very helpful. I explained that we got it with the house and it was damaged when we moved in, so we werent sure it ever fit in the first place. He thanked me for being honest and said hed get me fixed up. Said hed do most anything for a guy if hes straight with him. He made it a bit smaller and I took it home to try again. It fit now, but the screen on one side wasnt straight. It was done too tight and the side bowed in so much you could stick your finger through the gap between the screen frame and the window frame. Not a big deal. I dropped it off to have it fixed but got a call back from the manager accusing me of "altering it somehow". He said there was some lip on it and that "they would have never sent it out that way". He left this in a voicemail to me and said my only two options were to pick it back up the way it is or they would disassemble it, take their pieces back and refund my money. He left all of this on a message to me without ever meeting or talking to me once. I am amazed that a store that is run this way can still be in business. I feel completely insulted. I dont know how the associate can thank me for being so honest and then I turn around and get a call from the manager telling me Im a liar. I called the manager back and explained that we took it home, tried it, and brought it back to have it fixed. That we didnt alter it in any way, but he told me that wasnt true. Hopefully you wont waste your time with them, but if you walk into this place, it will be apparent that they dont trust their customers based on how many things are under lock and key. I am all for local, small businesses, but this location needs to be shutdown or be brought under new management.

We purchase locks and door handles on a sale from this location. The first lock and door handle set went on properly and seemed to be great. The second one had broken elements and mis made pieces. We brought back the entire product and the man who helped us repaired the door handle piece that was miss made. The next challenge was the dead bolt lock. It could not even be put onto the door due the one element being stripped. This time there was not someone who could repair the element. We were told to bring it all back to another person who could make those decisions. After a ridiculous amount of time we finally got the dead bolt and handles on the doors. Now the keys dont work! They will turn the bolt off the door and on the door but will not release the keys. Yikes! Oh guess what the only person that can help only works during the week and from 8:00-2:00p. How convenient since the typical work day includes this hours. The final word was that they will not take their shoddy product back, and they can not repair it to make it right. This is also a product that is not common for them to carry even though it is there corporate product. We dont live in that world where business dont support their products. Now we are left without a product that works only to go the the big corporate suppliers to purchase more. I am so disappointed it is truly hard to make small business a priority this way. Buyer beware when shopping at ACE.

This is a local franchise Ace. Bottom line, this store offers convenience. I am able to ride my bike or stop by after work frequently as I seem to need small hardware items all the time. The kids like to come too since they get to stop at the pet store right next door after a visit. Most of my trips I spend between $5-10 on items I dont feel like driving an extra 6 miles round trip to the next store to save $.50. Their attendants do a good job finding the parts I need or honestly letting me know they dont have what I am looking for. Pretty good hardware selection overall for no bigger than the store is; if its something other than hardware items its hit or miss. No loyalty program which stinks but since they know me as a regular customer I have received several coupons at the register for my next visit. Prices are what I would expect from a convenient store like this, slightly more than online or the larger retailers. The place is not as appealing as the major retailers but who cares, its a hardware store not a hospital.

I asked a man how much it cost to make two keys he gave me a price and I said ok. When I went to pay the cashier tried to charge me more. I went back to the guy and he tried to say the amount maybe more than the amount he originally had given me and complained to the cashier and she didnt care. I was the only person in the store. This happened to me one time before but I believe in second chances and its real close to my home. I returned the keys because they didnt work and got a refund. Everything about this store is wrong and it needs to close. Its a disgrace to the other Ace Hardware stores that are clean and professional.

This is a mom & pop locally-owned business and a little on the old-school side of style. Their store is kind of outdated maybe and not super magically pristine, sterile, or sanitized but the people there often have what I need for my home improvement project so I dont give much thought to minor annoyances and slight inconveniences. It takes a little patience to wait for a clerk to help me with their nuts and bolts bins though but things could be a hell of a lot worse. Pretty good store. Pretty nice people.

Let me start by saying I live right next to this Ace hardware and I drive to the ACE on Power and McDowell to get hardware. The store is a joke! Everywhere you look is a sign stating something in regards to shop lifting. You cant get your own hardware???? everytime I go to ace i end up with more hardware than what i originally came for because i remember while looking that i need this or that. Basically high prices, poor selection and an owner that is worried about you stealing a 4 cent washer

I usually like ACE but this one is an exception. They are so overly concerned with theft that you have to wait for a snowbird let you look at anything. I wanted some nuts and bolts, but after waiting 20 minutes for help (because they wont let you down the hardware aisle) I left for Home Depot...oh well, I tried to give the mom n pop my business, but poor service and paranoia conspired against me.
