I would not recommend going here to anyone. Heres the story, hopefully it will help you to make a decision to go elsewhere. There is one positive in this post, I did buy a beautiful 1.5 carat GIA certified diamond from them. We love it. But, we could have bought the same diamond at any other place (and would have had I known it would be this much trouble). 1st Experience: Workmanship is awful. We had the diamond (referenced above) set in a solitaire setting and less than a week later had to have it reset by a professional jeweler somewhere else because the stone came loose. This was after sending it out to "the factory" to have it done "right." 2nd Experience: Workmanship is awful, customer service is horrible and their product is sub-par. I forgave them for our first experience because I figure everyone deserves a second chance. My fault. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. We bought a wedding set from them with the intentions of setting the engagement diamond (referenced above) in the new setting which matched the wedding ring. They offered to resize it and we said okay (1/2 size up). We came back 4 days later and picked it up, brought it to a local jeweler to reset the engagement stone (learned a little from first experience). The local jeweler wouldnt touch it because the jeweler at The Jewelry Factory ruined the ring. He recommended bringing it back and getting a refund or exchange. We found all of this out after we brought it home (we live 60 miles away from the Jewelry Factory). So, armed with additional knowledge from a local jeweler (a guy who has been doing this for 40 years) we drove back to The Jewelry Factory. When we questioned the workmanship and told the assistant manager that we were not satisfied with the product we were told "your jeweler just didnt want to do any work" (on a new ring??? seriously?!?!) After ARGUING with the manager, being berated, and humiliated we were finally able to get them to order a new one. The new ring was projected to be ready 3 months AFTER our wedding. After some more frustration we were able to get them to promise it to us before the wedding....8 whole days before the wedding...the wedding is on 12/28..... The new ring ended up coming in 4 weeks later (one month before the wedding) and there were more problems. One of the diamonds came loose in the engagement band after less than one week. At this point, we arent even going to bother to send it back to them. We are hiring a specialist to fix it (we should have gone to him originally). Between when we purchased the rings and today (approximately one month) my fiancee has cried twice and only gotten to wear her engagement ring for three days because of the poor customer service, incompetence, poor craftsmanship, and abominable workmanship by The Jewelry Factory and its Employees. This is supposed to be a happy time and thanks to The Jewelry Factory it has been nothing but stressful, disappointing, and inconvenient. To me, that says it all, we will never patronize this establishment again. Shame on you The Jewelry Factory for making the most important person in my life cry. Shame on you.

AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE! It was an absolute pain dealing with the jewelry exchange and all of their employees even the STORE MANAGER! I bought my engagement ring at the Jewelry Exchange in Livonia. I had it sized down less than one size a couple weeks after I bought it and asked them to assure that all the diamonds and prongs were tightened after so they did not fall out. This was NOT done and the next day diamonds were falling out of my ring. I took it back to have the diamond replaced and thats what they did. Upon receiving the ring back it was clearly noticeable that the replacement stone was not the same size, not the same color, nor the same clarity and it did not match the rest off the ring at all. So once again I had to make the hour plus drive out to the store to have them fix it again. Upon arriving the store manager Mark fought me about the diamond and said they couldnt place a bigger stone in the ring. After explaining to him that was a bs answer because the ring came with a bigger stone in it he agreed to change it again. So after thinking my ring was finally done correctly I get home just to find that all Mark instructed the jeweler to do was switch the wrong diamond they placed in from the halo and place it into the band. Now the halo has the right diamond but the band still has the wrong color and size diamond on it. The problem still exists now just in another spot. I will never ever give any of my business to this sleazy establishment again and I will forever talk down about the entire business to everyone I know and on every possible review outlet on the Internet. Starting from the management down the jewelry exchange is an absolute joke! I want to stress again that my ring is a month old and my fiancee and I havent even had the chance to take our engagement photos and our ring is ruined. All because of the jewelry exchange in Livonia and their carelessness and sleaziness. Sincerely, A pissed off customer

After picking out a center diamond for an engagement ring I wanted (that I spent 20-30 min. examining for any flaws), I had to wait a day for them to mount/set the diamond in my chosen setting. The next day I pick it up, look over it briefly, looks like what I saw the other day, and leave. However, after the ring is placed on my fiances hand, she immediately notices a large black mark on the diamond! When I took it back to the store and spoke with the manager, he told me my eyesight was really good to spot this mark. I told him the diamond I chose did not have this mark, since I carefully inspected it, so how can he help correct this. The manager then said they do not offer refunds, only exchanges. So he showed me "comparable" diamonds. They were the same crap with similar black spots on them! I told him I wanted what I originally picked out, but he said that would cost several thousand dollars more! Lesson Learned: STAY AWAY!!

The Jewelry Exchange is an amazing jewelry store! The have something for everyone, at very reasonable prices. With a wide range of all types of male or female pieces. With the holidays right around the corner, if your looking for something for a loved one then its perfect no matter what your budget is! The staff is also amazing as well! They are all very knowledgeable, polite, and most importantly make sure the customer is happy when they walk out the door. Rachel is the jeweler that has been helping me for the past few years. She is an amazing jeweler. Not to mention very knowledgeable, sweet and cares about her customers. I know this may look staged or like I should be writing commercials for them, but I have been dealing with them for over 10 years now and these are feelings 100%. Thanks again for all the years of great service. And a special thanks to Rachel!!! -Matthew D.

Dont go here!!! The manager is terrible, he lost a customerr over a resize issue. I completely regret buying my ring from here. Long story short this place is pushy on sales, mediocre on craftsmanship (diamond fell out in under a year and other prongs loose), and terrible for jewelry repair/service. The manager would rather be right and rude than serve his customers. He was aggressive and tried to make me believe he was splitting the costs with me when I was actually going to pay the whole sum, an additional charge to the 110$ I had already paid. This is not how you do business. If the management reads this I hope they know I was going to get that nice tanzanite piece for my birthday that month, but you arrogance over the repair lost you that sale and all our future patronage. I will have my center stone looked at by another jeweler now to make sure they didnt switch the stone.
