If zero stars was an option i would give them zero. Not only did they sell me a ball python that was ill, but not ill fast enough for them to refund my money, they also just killed my chinese water dragon. the ball python had an unidentifiable condition that the whole batch had. i spent roughly 1,000 dollars in vet bills trying to save him and he still did not make it. my chinese water dragon was doing beautifully, we were working on making him a new larger home. we decided to give him a change of scenery by changing the substrate in his tank. we used coconut fiber substrate, which if you ask petco, is perfectly safe for chinese water dragons. less than a week later he was not eating or drinking, and had to be brought into the vet immediately. the vet told us that he had a blockage due to the coconut fiber substrate, and also was going into kidney failure because he was not able to eat. that was yesterday, tonight at around 8pm he died. he died because petco is not educated in what the reptiles they sell actually require to live. i would not recommend ever buying a reptile from them, or taking any of their advice about any reptiles you may already own.

I am a new puppy owner and I went to Petco in Fargo, ND to pick up some puppy supplies. The associate there was VERY patient with me and answered all questions and some. I ended up leaving the store spending around $160. The very next day I received a coupon for friends and family to receive 20% off my purchase. I called Petco to inquire about their refund policy being that I had been in the store the night before and explained my situation. Although this is not something they normally do they said they would happily do a refund and extend this discount to me allowing me to receive about $32 back (Not many stores would offer this). Needless to say Petco has GREAT customer service! The store is also very clean! I would highly recommend this store to my family and friends. :) Thank you Fargo Petco for the awesome experience!

This is a typical chain pet store offering a huge selection, live animals & pet grooming. This particular location is cleaner & neater than some Ive seen, but like most its poorly staffed on the sales floor so dont expect to find help readily if you have questions or need someone to catch fish for you. Prices are on the high side, I paid $17 for a dog toothbrush & toothpaste. Id prefer to shop at my local privately owned pet store where the employees are helpful, smiling & friendly.

Absolutely the worst customer service and worst online shopping experience I have ever had. I will not be shopping at petco ever again- because I have never been more infuriated by the BS answers I was given as to why they screwed up my order THREE times and I am STILL not getting what I have ordered. Horrible customer service, horrible website, horrible company. Do not give these people your money - you will regret it.

Petco is one of the only commercial pet stores to take animals in when the owner can no longer care for them anymore, reducing the amount of animals that get sent to the pound, or destroyed. (unlike petsmart) The staff is friendly and helpful; and if they dont know something they wont pretend like they do, they will say they wont know, and go and find out for you. This place is like walking into heaven!

I come to petco often to get supplies for my animals, but thats about it. I often have to get crickets for my leopard gecko and sometimes thats all I go in for. The dog food is more expensive than at other locations such as fleet farm, walmart, etc. so I dont bother getting that stuff here. I havent tried any of their services either, but when purchasing items most workers are friendly and helpful.

Store is clean with large area signs that can be seen from entrance to exit. Staff very helpful & knowledgeable. Even taking suggestions of other products (not sold in their store) to assist with dog training. When checking out there is usually not a long line.

Petco is my preferred store for small animal supplies and dog toys, clothes and beds. The prices for more pharmacy-like products are a bit better here too. The staff is also very friendly and obviously love animals and want to care for them.

Great staff, very helpful. The dogs love shopping here because everyone is friendly and they sometimes get to meet new friends. I only wish the prices on their toys and accessories were a little more competitive with online prices.
