The employees in grooming services are unprofessional. For the last year, I have been generally unimpressed with the overall quality of grooming here, but I have continued using the services because the hours and location are convenient and I can pick up other supplies while I wait. Today, the groomer refused to trim my dogs nails because she was "basically on the ground the whole time" after reportedly he knocked her down. Now, my dog is about 80 pounds (a black lab-border collie mix) and training him not to jump on people has been challenging, so I do not doubt that he jumped up on the groomer. At the same time, I have never seen him knock anyone over, nor has any other groomer at Petco (or any other grooming service I have used) ever voiced similar complaints. When I informed the groomer that no other groomers had such problems before, she said there were "notes in the computer" indicating such problems. I asked her why I had not previously been informed of these problems, and she had no response. I informed her I was quite dissatisfied and would no longer use their grooming service. Overall, the employees in the grooming service do not seem respectful or terribly interested in working with animals.

This is in regards to their grooming department. We brought in our pet for a simple haircut and asked to be notified when they were finished as we live 1 hour from GF. They told us it would be a couple of hours and that they would let us know. After 3 1/2 hours we stoped by to see what was taking so long and they said they where finished an hour ago! So we asked for our pet and right away they stated that we had to pay first which was fine but when we came back to the counter (while we where standing there) some one else asked the same way and they went back and got their animal for them no questions asked!? well we got our pet and found out they did not trim the animal the way we asked(simple short cut)!? to top it all off we go out to the car and find out they charged us an extra $6 for a "difficult animal to groom". We have brought our pet to Petco many times for grooming but after today, Never again!

Very negative first (and last) experience with Petco grooming. Inflexible scheduling was my first irritant. I wanted an appointment later in the morning because I work late at night and was told 9 am is the latest they can start morning appointments. I brought in my cat at 9 am and was called an hour later to pick her up because she was hissing and biting. I dont know many cats that wouldnt hiss when being held by an unfamiliar person, surrounded by dogs. There were at least three groomers there so Im sure one of them could have easily put a glove on and held her head still; but why put in any extra effort? Because of this bad experience, I wont be returning to the Petco store at all.

Terrible terrible Terrible costumer service! And thats coming from the management! The first visit we had went well.. everyone was super friendly ect. The second time we went to cancel our dogs training course the cashier/trainer chick completely changed her attitude towards me and was being so rude when she talked to me.. my husband and I called the manager and its been 3 weeks after calling multiple times and shes always not in yet or out for the day or has the day off.. so then I ask to speak to another manager and get told well be taken care of..yet were still waiting on our money back!! God go to Walmart menards or sams club. Even another local pet shop this place just sucks!

Because they have what I need for my cockatiel. And they have the best service for your questions and they will help you find the right food for the right Pet. Example: my cockatiel is 14 years old we wanted to find a diet that was pellets, without letting my cockatiel know that he was eating a pelleted diet. They have suggestions on ways to save food thank you! And by bird is one happy cockatiel who is 14 years old and thinks hes found the best food in the world. Thank you so much Petco for helping me out with this one happy happy Cockatiel mommy. I do wish you could get more bird toys and such but that is up to you.

Absolutely terrible customer service from everyone there in the grooming department, but Kari! The manager was very inappropriate and not kind at all to me. I was extremely extremely unimpressed with their level of professionalism. It did not exist at all. I told them I was very unimpressed and unsatisfied especially with the manger, and I will not ever be coming back and they will be losing my business! The manger did absolutely nothing about it. She did not care or extend any kind words. Just said "bye". Very childish and not willing to help you at all!! DO NOT GO HERE if you wanted to be treated with respect!!!!!

We went to Petco because we were setting up our first fish tank ever. We didnt know much of anything. Dan helped us out for at least an hour. He was a very knowledgeable and professional employee, he was able to answer all of our questions with ease. This store is much cleaner and well organized than the Stone Gate pet store in the Grand Cities mall, which I would not recommend. The store also has a 30 day return policy if you bring in your fish if it for some reason expires early due to unforeseen circumstances. Thanks to Dan, the man, we now have a beautiful functioning fish tank for our pleasure.

Alyssa, the grooming salon manager, is the absolute best. We were nervous about bringing our Bella baby in for grooming, but Alyssa was very kind and helpful. She answered all of our questions thoroughly and was very professional. She made us feel very comfortable with her knowledge and her sweet demeanor. Not only did we feel safe putting our furbaby in her hands, Bella also looked and smelled absolutely fabulous when we picked her up! Her haircut was just what we wanted. I would definitely recommend Alyssa and her team to anyone looking for a great grooming experience :)

I am doing training classes for our 10 month old puppy. She knew a lot of the things already but there were specific things that needed to be worked on. Megan is a wonderful trainer that not only teaches with words, but also hand signals. We are halfway through and our puppy listens so much better already. She has taught us so much about routine and proper nutrition, as well as the best products to buy for dog care (stain remover, scent remover, leashes, collars, leaders, toys, etc). It is great to have a wealth of knowledge at your fingertips.

I stopped off there last Saturday to pick up cat food that was on sale. When I went through the line the cashier told me that I had not purchased enough to use the coupon. Rather than void my transaction, she switched tills and let me go pick out another item to get my purchase to the proper total. When I got back to the till another cashier took over and was already briefed on my order and was very pleasant and professional. I was so pleased I went back on Sunday too.
