I went purchased 4,250 worth of furniture. I returned to show my parents the furniture and make final payments. I had to go pee so I went as soon as we got there. An employee went to the bathroom soon after. My mother went after 30 mins or so being in the store and she too was followed by an employee who also went to the bathroom. Prior to leaving my 14 month old did #2 so I went to change her and what would you guess? An employee again went in at the same time. This was way to obvious and I almost didnt notice until my mother told me what a coincidence? I replied omg they follow their customers into the store. I was surprised and taken a back as there isnt really anything small enough to take in there. I was wearing a small cross body purse so that shouldnt have been an issue. Its sad and blatantly obvious. I told a sales person and she did not deny nor did she apologize. Awkward. I would highly suggest anyone visit another store and either confirm this as a practice of the chain of stores or maybe this is just an isolated practice. Customers can spend hours choosing furniture. Using bathrooms is not commonly a monitored activity.

Havertys used to be a service oriented store. Upon placing an order and I was given a delivery date and told no problem it will be on time. I received a letter telling me it would 4 weeks late. When I spoke the store manager JOE he assured me he actually looked on the computer and verified it would be late and there was nothing he would do. When I pressed him if he could do anything he said I went on line to help you. They obviously have no idea what customer service is . Where do they get their managers ?? Probably former government dolts . Based on Joes unwillingness and his lack of concern They have lost a good customer. There are too many good furniture stores that want business and have products equal or better in quality but more importantly people who care about holding on to their customers. I know nobody from Havertys that matters will even see this but hopefully I can let several people know to stay away from Havertys on North Dale Mabry and the so called manager who took all of 5 min. to strain his fingers on the computer.

We paid top dollar and got low quality product and absolutely the worst service ever. Book cases looked great in the store but not so great when delivered - very low quality - drawers do not open/close, pieces do not not fit well. Service is non-existent, they left trash in my yard, trash in my home and had to return three times - VERY DIFFICULT COMPANY TO WORK WITH (you must call a service center in Atlanta with any problems - nobody in the store will help or cares). I am repairing several issues myself - I just got tied of fighting with their customer service! We are furnishing an entire home and ordered items from 4 different companies, they are the worst by far (other three companies were good)- AVOID HAVERTYS!

Within the first couple months our couch started falling apart , literally tearing at the seems. We bought the extended warranty and called to have someone come out and look at it when they told us it was our fault for choosing that fabric and couldnt do anything I was shocked! Why would you sell fabric choices that you know are going to fall apart? So now we are three years into having this couch when are going to have to throw it away! Crazy part is half of the sectional has only been sat on during holidays, so 10 times total and even that part of the couch is falling apart & the seams are ripping!! 3k down the drain !

Found an item we wanted to buy and went in yesterday with fabric swatches to confirm before we purchase. We didnt want our sales person with us as we wanted to talk on our own. Apparently, the manager sent someone over to us and said our sales person had to be with us, so we left and will buy from LayZBoy that has the other couch we were debating on. They are easy to work with and dont have a manger making the sales people hover. Im not buying a car and dont need the cat salesman tactics. I dont accept them at a car dealer and I am not going to accept them anywhere else either.

We bought room full of furniture at this store and love it every day. Our salesman Bob let us know what we should buy warrantys on. Just so happens we had a problem with one of the electric recliners after two years. Our recliner was replaced with a brand new one within weeks. I went to Havertys to buy patio furniture. They had some very nice furniture. This is high quality stuff, and is not cheap, but it looks like it will last a long time. Pat and Paul were friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and not pushy at all. Id definitely go back for my furniture needs in the future, and I would recommend them to my friends.
