My husband and I went here to look at mattresses. We were excited to come in because of the last few positive reviews we saw. Unfortunately, we left disappointed and irritated. When we walked in, there was a girl sitting at a desk right in front who asked us if we would like to look around. We said yes, and started walking back to browse, but our path was blocked by an elderly salesperson named Lee. We told him we were just browsing, thanked him for his help, and told him we would let him know if we had any questions, then tried to walk away to browse on our own. Lee proceeded to follow us within two feet, peppering us with questions. Again, we thanked him for his help and told him, more obviously this time, that we would let him know if we needed any help. My husband and I really wanted to spend some time looking at their selection and pricing since we had an idea of what we wanted and were prepared to buy. We walked past a daybed, where Lee continued to follow us within two feet, offering useless suggestions and awkward product demonstrations on beds we were merely casually walking by. Again, we told him we were just trying to look around and would let him know if we had any questions. We then walked toward some larger matressess and as my husband and I started discussing the features we were looking for, we noticed Lee had CONTINUED to follow us within two feet after we had told him three times we were just browsing and would contact him if we needed anything. At that point, we felt really uncomfortable because not only was he not getting the hint, but he continued to trail us around within our personal space and asking us to "take off our coats and get in" the beds, while blathering continuously about the beds they offered. At that point, we literally told him that we were fine, did not have any questions would let him know if we did. He then stood silently near a bed a few feet away, never taking his eyes off of us, making us feel extremely uncomfortable. My husband and I finally tried out a bed for about three seconds, and he must have called another salesperson over because a woman came running over to us holding two paper towels with her fingertips. She didnt introduce herself, but told us if we wanted to lay in a bed they needed to keep them clean, even though my husband and I were still in our coats and there was a plastic protector at the end of the bed and we were in it for no more than three seconds. At that point Lee came running over again with a cheesy smile plastered on his face, while the new woman, who had yet to say who she was and continued to clutch the paper towels, asked us if we wanted to "buy a bed today." I have never seen a group of salespeople more pushy and desperate to make a sale in my life! My husband and I could not wait to get out of there, and quickly left, where we went to HOBO and got the same mattress for a third of the price. Will NOT be back to this place.

Walked into store today. Have purchased from here in past. Quality of merchandise I have always thought was above par. My wife and I and my mother were in the market to buy new sofas today. My mother was going to get one for her XMas present, my wife and I were looking to purchase 2 for our living room. The saleswoman Lynn was horrible to work with. We had found a couch that I absolutely adored. It was a modular unit with a cup holder in the middle. We asked if the modular unit could be removed. Lynn stated that she didnt want to bother any of the workers in the back as its too hard to disassemble and to just "visualize"it. We looked around for awhile, my mother had narrowed her choices down to 2 couches. We really wanted to see the modular sofa with the holder removed. I told Lynn I really wanted to lie on the couch to see its comfort level and if I liked it I would gladly purchase 2 if I liked it. Wow she found one of the workers to do it. Really nice kid who showed me how it was connected and disconnected. A++ young man would gladly hire him in my dental office. When my wife asked about prices in electric and manual, and asked for a card with the prices, is when the fireworks started. I had already pegged Lynn as a lazy individual who didnt want to go the extra mile to make the sale but she became snippy with us. She said I thought you were going to buy the couch if I had the worker disassemble it. She said she had to inconvenience the owners to have it disassembled(2 minutes time).I said I would buy it but I was only half of the equation. My wife was flabbergasted and walked away. I gave her more than an earful and we left. Ill tell you right now I would never recommend this store again. This was probably the most horrible experience that Ive ever had in a store. If this is how you treat your customers wow Im surprised youre still in business. As its family owned and Im sure Lynn is somebodys wife or cousin there I didnt bother to call and complain to the manager. All I can say is I hope my lousy experience with BiltRite, where I really, really wanted to spend some money today as I just adored the couch, will help somebody else. Thanks for reading my long winded version!

Youve probably heard the Biltrite name. They have been an ensconced in Milwaukee for as long as anyone can remember. However, I had no experience shopping there. As a young person, my first visit to Biltrite about a week ago was spurned by my need to buy a mattress and boxspring for my new bed. Upon arriving, I was greeted by a staff member who helped direct me. A friend had referred me to Gail, and Gail was paged to meet us in the mattress area. Despite the fact that she was leaving shortly to take her husband to the airport, Gail gave me a full tour of each of the mattresses that might suit my needs. Starting with asking me about my budget, and what type of mattress I like, Gail showed me pieces that were exactly what I needed. She also gave me a few other options to help me keep an open mind about this serious purchase. I made my decision, and proceeded to the sales desk where Gail and I chatted while she wrote up the sale. I paid, scheduled delivery for the next week. I was out the door and feeling confident about my delivery. When delivery day came, I was a bit nervous about coordinating it since I was at my office and would have to leave to meet the delivery men. They called and said they would be at my building in a half hour. Since I work 4 blocks away, we arranged for a call a half hour in advance to give me time to get home. I arrived home, and the delivery men had spoken with our property manager and were waiting outside of my door. They greeted me, I opened the door, and showed them where to go. In less than 2 minutes, they had carefully brought in the mattress and boxspring, removed the plastic wrapping, and stationed them on my bed frame. And with that, they made sure it was to my liking - and then excused themselves. The whole ordeal took less than 5 minutes. I was impressed. After several nights rest on my mattress, I know I made the right decision. Im also happy knowing that the price was right for my budget. Gails advice and guidance won out in the end. I cannot recommend any other store for your mattress needs. Youve gotta get to Biltrite!
