I live 15 minutes away from this place and go to Crazy Rays crequently. I love that its close, but it really needs some attention. The people behind the counter dont care about their customers at all (other than a middle aged woman who works there) and their inventory doesnt turn over that much. Its the same stuff every month or two. If you want a good inventory - go to Jessup. Hawkins Point is good too. Skip Erdman Avenue - its very packed and hard to move. JULIO - its not a carnival - its a dangerous place where people HAVE died and continue to get hurt. They cant make a legal contract with a minor to protect themselves if he gets hurt. Thats a hell of a reason to give someone negative feedback. It should be common sense if you know anything about law...Ignorance is no excuse

Awesome junkyard - most I go to are "needle in a haystack", you have to eyeball every junker in the lot and hope you find what youre hoping for - the Mt. Airy yard not only has online lookup of the vehicles, on arrival they asked me what I was looking for, and gave me a location that actually correlated to their map - every vehicle has an code on the windshield, found both vehicles I was eyeballing. And even though the driver side rear view mirror I was hunting was damaged on both I was able to determine this in 10 minutes, no aimless hunting! Amazing! Serious bow to the management - this is a wonderfully managed facility.

well i am a woman and i love a challenge so CRAZY RAYS is my playground.I have been going there every since a male friend let the cat out of the bag about this place.Never had a bad experience there.I always find what i need.i was just there a month ago for a fuel cap off a saab 900 online it was 58.08 and i went there for my son car it was $.94. Now grant you my son is 28 yrs old and was about to order online and i told him to ride with me he was amazed and i know he will be returning. If anyone has a problem with CRAZY RAYS its probably because this bargin idea was never for the LAZY.

I went for the first time last Saturday near their closing time. I had a load of mixed metal. They greeted me before I even entered the gate, told me what their rates were for each metal and directed me where to go to weigh in. After that they directed me where to unload each type of metal and re-weigh so I was paid properly for each type. I was amazed at the courteous and professional service especially at the end of the day when they were extremely busy with a long line of people checking out. I will be a long term customer of Crazy Rays in Mount Airy, Maryland.

DO NOT LOSE YOUR RECEIPT! A DUPLICATE COSTS $100 I have to submit the receipt for surrendering my car to MVA - I never got one but the rude female in the Jessup office swears customers let them blow away while we count our money! Whew-hooo $200 On top of the cost, they are unable to fax or e-mail them! Too hi-tech - and they dont even know the phone number for their corporate office. DONT DO BUSINESS WITH CRAZY RAYS!

Extremely happy with crazy rays. Went there to get a power steering hose for my old wagon when my dealer wanted two weeks and $215 for the part, with another $200 for labor. $9 later and a fun saturday and Id fixed it myself. Saved me over $400. Also found rare parts on the cheap for another car Im restoring. Just remember its a U-Pull-It yard, so if you are not very good with tools, steer clear!

Staff sucks here. A bunch of us had to wait while they smoked their cigarettes before getting checked out. People were standing there with heavy items in hand and they just sat there like it was none of their business. Funny thing is the whole time I didnt even realize THEY were the people working there! Other than that typical junkyard stuff here.

I broke a bolt off in my brothers 98 honda civic power steering mount bracket and couldnt remove it. so I went to crazy rays cause thats where all my friends go there. First time being there and the lady behind the desk asked what car we were trying to find and told me all the foreign cars were in the front and kindly let us on our way

Messy & sloppy, pretty small for the area and lots of older (80s +90s) trucks in there that are VERY picked over . GOOD prices that are displayed and stuck too,. IF you can find what you need here, you;ll get it cheap. UNLIKE B&H U-pull, whos prices have tripled and they make new ones as they go.

Good selection, yard is a little hard to navigate but it usually has what I am looking for if the car is about a decade old or older. Inventory online is nice and staff is usually friendly. Seems like prices keep going up but still reasonable.

Moderate selection of parts, but lacks in early to mid 90s vehicles.
