It took me a visit to this Target last year to properly grasp the concept of an urban food desert. And Boston isnt urban enough to be one. It was horrifying to see people do their food shopping here. Apples were being sold not the pound by the unit. I could be wrong but my lasting impression was more than a dollar for an apple? What little non-packaged/non-frozen food they had in stock is some of the least appealing produce Id ever seen, begging the question of why- because they intentionally stock the lowest grade or because its priced to sit on the shelf? Suburban Targets Ive visited wont even bother to compete with actual food markets with a produce section. I guess the lack of competition gave someone the idea they could price gouge in the name of "providing a service". You can get away with stocking cheap garbage products when theyre kids toys and dorm room bedsheets, but done with food that borders on violating basic human rights. Shame on you Target- I know youre better than this.

very good store well stocked has lots of items you can find fairly cheap as to others. it varies but not by much usually, this target is better than both Everett and Somerville and is also bigger and has more things. easily accessible by bus near the Red Line so that is a+ just off 93 and Mass Ave. BMC is also just a short 10 min drive up the road so the location from Downtown Boston is very good only 15-20 mins by both transit and driving. overall its pretty good plenty of shopping in the Area since its in a shopping center so if your around check it out you can find alot of great stuff here. however watch out for the lines at checkout they get so long and the aisles are very crowded since there is a Pizza Hut and Starbucks inside so be prepared to face a mini stampede once your in,

The worst and most discriminatory shopping experience of my life! Exchanging a DVD product of terrible / cheap quality in hopes to get a better one for my kiddo. Asked to speak with a manager to see if he would over-right the transition as the products warranty expired a couple days ago (note the product was only purchased 5 weeks ago). And in return, instead of a store manager, I get a security manager, a prison guard who called himself Ben and he publicly and without any regard for my child standing next to me, felt it was appropriate to yelled at me, humiliated me and even had the audacity to addressed my child. ...addressing himself as "the superior" as his job title and calling Target "his store." It was demoralizing and painful and terribly wrong.

Beware of the DVD department and one of the stores managers who doesnt know what copy write infringement is. We bought a DVD but someone had cut open the cellophane and took the disk. I tried to exchange but they had no more. Since my husband threw the receipt away and there were no more of the same movie, I was told by the manager that it would be "copy write infringement" for them to exchange if for another, huh? I was unable to get any satisfaction from Customer Relations and was told to wait. Were out of 20 bucks!! If this were another store and we were another ethnicity, I believe this would NOT be an issue. Very bad customer service.

Target has a superproblem in customer service and asset protection. Keep all receipts no matter the amount! I tried to use the Target Red Card which they connect to your credit card or debit card and it did not work and I paid cash and left. Since the amount was less than five dollars I threw it away. Big mistake. They have called me by phone hundreds of times. When the customer service supervisor speaks to you they cannot resolve the problem and will send bill to collection. Target has a big gap in their system and you the customer will be left holding the bag. Use cash, debit or credit card but do not use their RED Target Card.

Ive shopped here many times because its so close to my house, but its consistently one of the worst Targets Ive been to. It seems like a small thing, but the auto lock on the carts is one of their biggest problems. It frequently clamps down the cart 5 feet outside of the store, sometimes inside the store, but sometimes wont do it at all even if I park far away. It happens enough and is frustrating enough I wont go there anymore.

I used to go this Target to buy movies and toys for me and my kids. But they reduced the movie section a lot these days. I believe they wanted to save a space for others because I can see a lot of items in stock in their system. They said I could order any item in stock on line to pick up there but they didnt allow me to use Cartwheel coupons on it because its only for off-line shopping.

The store is very nice considering it is in a city....I have had nothing but good experiences while shopping...you can expect your typical Target shopping experience....the staff is friendly....the security team is very helpful they are great at giving directions since I am not from around town and I seen them going out of there way to help other customers when I was there

Customer service is terrible. I called electronics twice to immediately get disconnected, and then was put on hold for 15 minutes being asked every 3 minutes what I was calling for and that Id be swapped to electronics. Finally I got someone from electronics and he was very rude. This place needs to get their act together, this is ridiculous.

I go to target to stock up on cereal. They usually have the best sales on them. Prices on most food items are better than s&s which is in the same complex as this target. Their "target exclusive" items are pretty good quality at good prices. They close around 11pm I think which is good because it helps to compete with the s&s which is 24hrs.

Kudos to the South Bay Target for how theyre handling the holidays. Its the only Target in town on the Boston-side of the river so 9 times out of 10 it is PACKED. Lately has been no exception, but they have a nifty system set up at check-out where staff members direct customers to open registers. It also makes it worth suffering the crowds,

This place is chaotic. I kept have this recurring problem where if I walked down an aisle without my cart in front of me, it would disappear. The last time I used a cart in this store, I caught the associate doing it. Its not like I was abandoning my cart or moving away from it for any time over a minute.

I used to rock with this place but not anymore. Im so freakin tight like I sent my uncle to get the apple cube charger for my iPad and he forgot what it looked like so he put me on the phone with two workers and I told them specifically an IPAD charger, and than their headasses gave him an iPhone charger
