My experience is quite different from the other reviewers. I not only will not recommend this florist; I will remember this event, and tell this story every time a florist is mentioned. Family friends from out of state sent a teddy bear and balloons with a "Get well, Lilly" card for our granddaughter (who is in an intensive care unit on a ventilator waiting for a kidney transplant), and also a fruit basket with a thoughtful note for the rest of the family. The balloons had pictures of a basketball, a karate class, and a large mouth bass. They were obviously meant for a man. I called and explained the situation. Colonial Florists employee blamed it on the out-of-state florist, saying they hadnt explained properly who the balloons were for--even though there was a teddy bear and card that said "Get Well, Lilly"--a card which was printed or typed at Colonial Florist. They told me they would call me back. By the end of the day they had not called me, so I called them again, and this time I suggested that I could just bring the balloons back myself--since they didnt offer to redeliver--and trade them for balloons more appropriate for an 8-year-old little girl. They said that would be fine. We drove there and changed the balloons. I wasnt entirely pleased, but it was a solution I could live with. The next day, the family who sent the gift called me and asked what happened with the balloons. Then they told me they had been billed for three additional balloons. No credit for the returned balloons, just a new charge for three new balloons. Naturally, I was horrified that they had been bothered about the whole thing after being so thoughtful in the first place. When I called Colonial Florist, Kathys (she told me she was one of the owner/managers) first reaction was that she didnt believe it happened. I assured her it did. She said she would need to call the other florist. When she called back, all she had to offer was that wed have to deal with the out-of-state florist. It was his additional charge, not theirs. When I asked why shed even informed them about the balloon swap--because that is what led to the additional charge--she went into some gobbledygook that didnt begin to answer the question. All this for three mylar balloons? Really? Three balloons are more important than your reputation in the community? More important than the promises on your website about 100 percent satisfaction guaranteed and that you treat your customers the way youd want to be treated? More important than heartbroken family having to drive around and make phone calls just to straighten the florists mistake out? And it actually doesnt matter whose fault it was when it comes right down to it. The two florists involved should have straightened it out. They both must admit the customers did nothing wrong here. Its highly unprofessional to throw your business partner under the bus. Just make the problem right; then have your spat in private.

I am notorious for having awful customer service and product issues with florists, so when a friends mother passed I was extremely stressed about ordering flowers. Thankfully I found Colonial Florist through the funeral homes web site referrals (Baldwin Fairchild - Conway Chapel). I picked out what I thought was a nice arrangment from Colonial Florists web site, and hoped for the best. When we visited the funeral home for the viewing, the family immediately said, "The flowers you sent were GORGEOUS!" When they pointed out which ones were from us, I was dumbfounded. The arrangment was stunning, looked exactly as it had online, but was even larger than we anticipated. THANK YOU to Colonial Florist for the wonderful arrangment and for the care taken with it, and for giving me hope that there ARE still good florists out there!

I would recommend this florist to anyone! We had a small wedding to plan on short notice and when most florists turn you away with less than 2 weeks notice, Colonial Florist was happy to help us LESS THAN A WEEK before the event. The staff was friendly and patient with us, taking care to show me the flowers they recommended and help keep us in our budget (which was very limited). When our centerpieces (not done at Colonial Florist) for the reception fell through at the last minute, they made 5 rush centerpieces, literally 2 HOURS before the ceremony started and delivered ON TIME with the rest of our order (ceremony/reception was across town from the shop too!). Colonial Florist SAVED THE DAY! =) The bouquet was BEAUTIFUL and everyone loved the arrangements. Thank you so much once again to the staff at Colonial Florist!

Terrible Valentine disaster. My husband sent me flowers to my work and they were definitely a sorry excuse for a tulip arrangement. There was a small stuffed bear that was dirty and falling apart stuck in the flowers and I was just mortified to receive them at my work. I asked my husband to send me the photo of what he had ordered and it looked nothing like what I received. Today they came to bring me better flowers and I got a basket of horrid carnations that looked like they came from a hospital florist. The driver didnt know if he was supposed to take back the tulilps so he stood in my office on the phone trying to find out for what seemed like forever. I was just terribly embarrassed by the whole ordeal and we will not be ordering from here ever again, nor will we be referring anyone here.

Dont use these unprofessional idiots. They have no interest in customer service or retention and are only interested in the money youre spending now here today!!! I had been using this flower service for over 2 years and Id spend at least $300 with them, sending flowers to my wife whilst I was abroad. On the 5th or 6th of occasion of using them, we noticed that one of the vases that was delivered was the wrong color, I always sent red vases. When I went into the shop and addressed this with the manager they werent interested in changing the vase unless they charged me an additional $15. I explained I simply wanted to exchange the clear vase they had sent in error to the correct color.....not interested,, no exchange unless you payyyyyyy. Save yourself a headache avoid these clowns!!!

I see many good reviews, maybe things have changed, or maybe I caught them at a very bad time, but here goes - Dont even think about using this place. This was one of the most humiliating purchase experiences I have ever had in a long time, and it goes deep. My experience was not just the result of a slip or one little blunder, I wont bore you with all the details, but the mistakes were many, and I dont feel they ever understood the mistakes, or learned anything from them, so they are destined to repeat them. Nor did they appreciate my business in the slightest. I was just another dollar, actually quite a few dollars. Bad experience. Find another florist, there are many good ones Im sure.

EXCELLENT FLORIST!!! I walked in on a Thursday needing flowers for my Saturday wedding, talk about last minute! Not only were they super nice and accomodating, but they had an excellent selection of gorgeous flowers on hand for me to choose from. They allowed me to walk into the fridge and hand-pick flowers that I thought were beautiful and created an arrangement for my bridal bouquet on the spot. I had boutonnieres, corsages, loose flowers, and a bouquet all ready for me to pick up in less than 24 hours! And they were all absolutely gorgeous! I cant say enough about this place, you wont be disappointed.
