First off this review is not to bash the Waikem family auto group or its team members but simply a way to vent my frustrations with the process in which my car and service experience was handled. That being said, I have a 2012 Mitsubishi Outlander that I bought from Waikems new. The service engine light came on back in I believe the end of March so I made the appointment and took it in as I could tell something was wrong with the transmission. Waikem did not have the proper tool to read the code so they had to order the part which took another week and a half to get. In the mean time I was left without a car and needed to rent one at my own expense. The "special tool " arrived and the Tech could not find a problem with it so he cleared the codes and I was charged the $79 diagnostic fee and sent on my way with the service advisor telling me that if the service engine light comes back on bring it back in. Well, low and behold, it came back on a couple days later so I took it back in and this time the service department needed another "Special Tool" to read or measure the transmission pressure. This tool needed to be ordered and I was told it would take another 6 or more weeks to arrive. In the meantime I was left to drive a car that had a Transmission problem because the MITSUBISHI service department didnt have A MITSUBISHI TOOL to fix my MITSUBISHI CAR. After going back and forth with the service department for several weeks checking to see if this part was in yet, it was only when I was on the freeway going 65mph and my transmission slips and immediately downshifts to 40mph and I almost got hit by a semi did the service department start to pay attention to our problem. We were able to drop our car off and get a rental at no cost as we continued to wait for this Special Tool. Fast forward another 3 weeks Waikem still had our car and I guess they were finally tired of waiting for this part too because they were able to get the go ahead to replace the transmission. Which we were more than grateful but it is under warranty. Another week goes by and we get a call from the service advisor saying the good news is the transmission is in and the bad news is I need a new ALTERNATOR. I had absolutely no problems with the alternator when I dropped it off. I do not know if it was even tested or if the battery was just dead from sitting so long at their service shop. Anyway this has been over an 8 week miserable experience and Waikems has offered nothing for being inconvenienced for the better half of 2 + months. I will say that My several car buying experiences have always been wonderful and they have always worked with us and been very helpful in the car buying experience process. But after this I doubt I would go back to Waikems to have my car washed........... Just a follow up to my review. After several months Waikem has for the most part resolved my issue. I am still out the original diagnostic charge of $79. Which I believe I should not have been charged one at all due to the Transmission was under warranty and the fact that all they did was clear the code and didnt fix the problem the first time my service engine light came on. (Same code, Same problem reoccurred the same week) Also I am out a couple hundred bucks from rental cars I needed to rent while this ordeal took place. Waikem did supply us with a courtesy car for the past week.

First and foremost I want to say that Waikem is nothing but liars, scammers, dishonest, cheaters. The "credit amnesty" is a lie. My credit is not that bad at all. Beware of spot delivery scams. They actually put us in a vehicle, said heres your new car, bye, see ya have a good day. Drove away... Well as a matter of fact they shoved the vehicle down our throats, we said we wanted a Jeep. They said oh no drive this 2011 GMC Terrain (gold/tan) which it was pretty nice except for the broken motor mount and failing exhaust system. Very, very, pushy, annoying, persistent that you buy a car. Constant calls and emails. Wouldnt leave us alone. So, as stated we "purchased" the vehicle and we were starting to get use to it and enjoy it. Next thing we know almost 2 weeks later Chuck Stanley, who may very well be the rudest person I have ever met, he calls and says bring the truck back. We said why what is going on? I said the vehicle is registered in our name, he said no its not it never was!!!??? His exact statement to anything I said was "doesnt matter bring it back". I feel he could have handled the conversation a little more professionally than that. In fact he seems very ignorant, uncaring, arrogant, stubborn, rude, extremely unprofessional. Go ahead and search up spot delivery scam, that is what they did to us and I wonder how many others. Because upon further inspection we noticed the 30 day tags that were never even registered to us (although we had to carry insurance on it) said make Kia and the 6 was changed to a 7 which tells me they just did this to someone else. Seems like a frequent thing the dirty lying cheats do. Also, the lady doing the financing folds the papers up and away from you very quickly so she is in on the scam as well. Another thing I would like to mention is that my husband and I are both professional drivers so had we been pulled over with the fictious plates that Waikem put on the vehicle it could have adversely affected our lively hood. They wanted us to re-sign! Thats not going to happen EVER! I will NEVER purchase a vehicle from them! They got their vehicle back, so they can scam someone else and let them drive it for a few weeks. Stay far away from Waikem. The salesman Matt we dealt with was a decent person though. Have a good day and purchase your vehicle somewhere else. Their vehicles are also overpriced...

This was the worst experience of my life. I am not pleased with my vehicle. I have only had my vehicle for a year and a half and it has no A/C bc there is a major leak and it has not worked since I bought it and the wheel bearing that was originally fixed by you on the one side is still good but now the other side is going bad as well (bc any mechanic knows that you need to change both when one is bad, you have to change them in pairs). All around I am very unhappy with this vehicle. I tried to exchange it with you when I first got it and after much argumentation and being bullied by one of your sales managers you were only willing to give me $800.00 less than I paid on trade 4 days after purchase but we agreed to accept that and we were going to go through with the exchange and we found a different vehicle on the lot but when we went to test drive it the radio didnt work and the headlights were out. I have lost all hope and faith in this company. I have 3 children and for them and myself to have to drive around being hot is crazy. It was sold to me like that and I am not happy. I just gave up because I dont feel you would do anything or care like you say you do. So at this point I just suffer and keep paying on it but I would never recommend anyone to you not even my worst enemy bc of this experience.
