Ok selection (lacking natural & small animals products). Staff is knowledgable, friendly & helpful. Certain products sell out often. Misinformation about caged animals for sale, particularly the small animals life expectancy rate (for instance, if you give chinchillas a balanced nutritional diet with additional items such as vitamin C, & resist giving them sugar since chinchillas do not have a pancreas to process sugars, they can live up to 20 years. My Biscuit is currently 22 years old, while Pepper is 18 years old, both thriving. Petco states that chinchillas life expectancy is about 10 years old...). I also wish Petco in general did research on pet nutrition & handed out information to new owners on diet like they used to so clients could know basics on the best possible way to care for their new pets. When they used to sell hedgehog food by Kaytee, it contained peanuts; about a year later they pulled it because peanuts are extremely deadly to hedgehogs. Please do reaserch on pet food brands too before buying from Petco. They also require you to get a rabbies shot every year if you want to use their grooming services. More vets are speaking out on how it is harmful to get the rabbies shot so often for your pets. NYC allows boosters to be given up to 4 years.

I placed an order in Petco for 3 positions, one of them was prescription food. I received my order after 3 working days but without prescription food. Inside the package was information that second part will be delivered later. To the next day, I contacted customer service and they wrote me that part of my order was delayed because they couldnt contact a clinic. Nobody has contacted me although I left my phone and email! I sent the prescription to Petco email and operator in customer service wrote me that order will be shipped during 24hours. When delivery date appeared in my account I stayed at home whole day, but I didnt receive my order. When I checked information in my account status of delivery was "Attempt - Lock Out / No Access" and date of delivery was changed on tomorrow. I want to notice that I had other deliveries that day and have not any problems with them. I was at home the next day all day but I have not received my order again. Status of my order was changed on "Delivered to Sender". I have waited two days and I have received nothing! My order was not delivered after 6 working days! I canceled my repeated delivery and placed it in another shop. I will recommend this shop nobody!

I use Petco on Metropolitan Avenue for all of my pet needs..training, grooming, toys, food etc. everyone is very helpful and nice. The managers Daniel and Jeff will go out of their way for you. I also use the grooming services. Tameka is my babys groomer. She is awesome. He is handsome to begin with but after he sees Tameka he looks like a movie star. She is so good with him. Tameka is patient and kind. She doesnt rush. She loves pets. I am going to bring my Persian cats to her as well in the summertime for lion cuts. I do not believe any negative reviews. Our pets are our children but they are also animals and sometimes an animal will behave in an unpredictable manner. Accidents happen. You can trust this Petco. They rock. I have five pets and only good experiences there.

My dog loves here... She was literally whining when we pulled into the parking lot but didnt get out of the car fast enough. I on the other hand think its awkward based on how the sign for the store is placed compared to the entrance and parking lot of the store. Has a large variety of animal food and grooming/ maintenance products but almost no selection in clothing for larger dogs. Actually, they hardly had any clothing for any size dog when I went hoping to buy something for mine and my brothers dog on Saturday.

Do not being your dog to get groomed by tameka. We used to bring my dog to Courtney but she left and now they have a groomer names tameka and she cut a chunk from my dogs nose. My dog is missing half of her nose because of this no experience having woman. Petco paid for all medical expenses but still a terrible thing to go through. All she needed was a trim and bath and the day ended with a trip to the vet. My dog is tramautized becasue of this. Horrible!

expensive. the grooming service is always packed and always have problems with the the grooming stuff, they dont work all week becuse they have some issues with there selfs. grooming expensive and not amazing. good dog training classes. no phone reception downstairs. the points fir buying stuff are very complicated and nit easy to get or use.

We purchased a few days ago 4 shrimps and they all die the next day. On saturday the 20th of august we bought 2 angel fish one die early in the morning and the 2nd die later this evening, plus service is not the great when u need help. I rather go to Petland Discounts to buy my fishes.

Petco has a great selection of just about anything pet related. They keep a good stock of healthy fish and have a lot options for food and chemicals. They also take good care of all their live animals. Their cages/ habitats are always clean, and you can see they are given fresh food.

Nice wide selection of animal supplies ...anyway i purchased two fish here and they died within a few days to 2 weeks .... a lot of their freshwater fish were sick( at the top of the tank gasping for oxygen,or had clamped fin) I tried to pick out some healthy looking ones but nope

Suburb sized, clean Petco with a large selection of supplies and food for felines, dogs, fish, furry animals, and more. The one story store is organized efficiently with each animal section clearly visible. The prices are slightly cheaper than the Petco in Manhattan.

These people are so unprofessional. They hang up calls, dont call to reschedule when something on their end happens, and overall just arent attentive to the customer. Youre probably better off just taking you pet to a small business rather than this place.

Crappy design making the parking lot dangerous. Also if you want to come and have your dog banned for life from getting groomed, please do! My dog was labled "very well behaved" in the system before coming here, one visit and he is now banned.

Availability of items for sale is always good.The staff are always helpful and very polite and courteous.And if you dont drive,public transportation is practically right outside with 3 bus lines that stop a half a block from the store

be careful in their parking lot if you have a low to the ground car. their concrete parking barrier will destroy the bottom of your car, like it did to me today. inside is fantastic but I had to warn yall

My go to petco since its a quick ride from my place. Sometimes not as stocked as other petcos but cant complain since its about the only local place that has a lot of the proplan food my cats like.
