Silverton Safeway leaves a lot to be desired. They stop using things in the deli and say its a corporate decision. I go to another Safeway and am served exactly the thing that I was told was a corporate decision to end in every store. This happens all the time. The sales are about as stupid as you can find. When you buy something weekly and know the price, they put it on sale where you have to buy 4 or pay $1 to $1.50 higher than I normally pay weekly for 1. We had started shopping at Silverton Safeway again when Mr. Nightingale took over management. It was a bright light in dark area. Hes now gone and this is what were stuck with. Weve decided (yet again)to do our shopping 15-20 miles away, meaning we likely wont be using Safeway anymore. We like being treated like were not stupid.

Stopped by the deli for some Generals chicken and was told there wasnt any made, but they did have some in the back, BUT it was under some other boxes so "No, not tonight but well have it made tomorrow..." Would it REALLY have hurt you to move a few boxes for a long-time customer? Ive never really been a fan of Roths; maybe its time I give them another look.... NO stars is not an option or I would have awarded that. Im not too happy right now :(

Edited my review to remove stars, down to 1 star because they NEVER have the express lanes open and dont have self check out. I rarely ever get more than 15 items but still have to wait in long lines behind people with full carts to check out. I end up spending 10 to 15 mins waiting to check out with 8 items. Its like the store doesnt want my business, so they will no longer get it. Like the people but hate the long wait to get out of there.

Ragna from the bakery was incredible. She helped me pick the perfect cake, was so patient and even let me sample a piece of the cake to be sure I liked it.Such incredible customer service.

Really nice service! Floral & deli lack in comparison to other Safeways ( I am used to the one at Lancaster & Silverton Rd. in Salem) but the service really makes up for it!

Good prices. Love the deli sandwiches and breakfasts. Not very good Safeway meat, but name-brand like foster farms, and organic meats are good. Great employees.

I have been to a lot of Safeway stores in a lot of towns. I avoid this one. Their customer service is extremely lacking. Managers dont seem to care either.

A very nice Safeway, with good bakery selection and selections for quick preparation at home. Can return can often be a wait with only two machines.
