Do not make the mistake of buying from Dulles Electric Supply. Its return or exchange policy is unreasonable. My husband and I bought a ceiling lamp for our foyer a few weeks ago and an electrician installed it yesterday morning. To our disappointment, the lamp when turned on looked terrible, shining light not only on our ceiling but also confusing stripes of light on the surrounding walls. We took great care in picking out the lamp at the Sterling store, but we now realize that because the showroom shows most of its lamps and chandeliers hanging from a drop-down iron grid instead of against a real ceiling, we did not actually get a true picture of the lamps reflection on a ceiling. I spoke to the manager about our disappointment with the lamp and also about the inadequate and misleading display of lamps that are not pendants or chandeliers. Both the salesperson and the store manager told me that we couldnt return or even exchange the lamp because it had already been installed and out of its box. Given the inadequate display in the showroom, we could not have appreciated the lamp unless it was installed! Our electrician thought it would be no problem to exchange the lamp. So we spent nearly for $1000 for the lamp and installation, for nothing! This kind of customer policy is antiquated at the least. We will certainly never go back to Dulles Electric Supply. Be very careful if you should even think of going there.
