Horrendous customer service!! Such an unpleasant overall experience. Granted we were in the showroom close to closing time but they were more interested in getting us out of the store over taking care of what we wanted to purchase. One of the choices my wife made didnt have a ticket and nobody seemed to be able to figure out how to come up with the needed information that was required to order the light. They assured us they would call the next day. They never did. My wife ended up following up after they were closed for the New Years Holiday and had to leave a message asking someone to call back...which NEVER happened. A complete waste of our time when I just had to go with my wife to another store to go back through the process of looking for fixtures AGAIN

Avoid this place. Ive been a regular customer over recent years mainly out of convienence. Every time I go, they manage to get something wrong or are just plain slow. Forget if you have something moderately difficult to find as youll spend an hour sitting there while they try to figure it out. The prices arent great. If youre a contractor you get better prices, but for the average home owner that has no need for $1000s in parts a month, theyre going to gouge you on what you need. Also, watch out for their return policy which is much more restrictive than bigger chains with decent customer service. Dont bother arguing either. The rules arent designed with customers in mind. Youre better off driving elsewhere, as I will now be doing.

Customer service is terrible, if you receive any. The entire experience is ridiculous. The business will upcharge, try to sell fixtures they either do not have, or do not want, and ignore the customer when returns are necessary. They usually are. Good luck placing and receiving an order. The customer service leaves much to be desired. Buy, then return product, if thats what youre looking to do for your home improvements. If you want help, ask the staff in the back of the house. Front hospitality, isnt hospitality.

Everything the last few reviews have said is true. I ordered a fixture. Said it would take a week. A month later I called and they couldnt find the order (and it took an hour just to get through their system). Then they said theyd order it. A week later, I call again and they say it is no longer made but Id have to come in for a refund. Meanwhile I found the fixture on the Web in under a minute. And you wonder why people want to buy on the Web rather than buy from you?

My wife and I bought several light fixtures for a home remodel we are doing. One of the fixtures cam damaged and missing parts. After reading the poor reviews on this company i was expecting a unpleasant experience. Boy was i surprised to be taken care of promptly and courteously. I spent a total of 15 minutes in the store and left extremely satisfied. The three women who helped me were awesome. I will definitely shop Maynards again in the future.

Excellent place! I brought an old fixture in to see if they could help me cobble together some replacement parts. The guys in the parts area were very kind, generous and helpful. I was able to get the parts I needed. Yes, I had to wait, because that is what you do in America when you want good service. Yes, it was a weekend and places are busy in America on the weekend. Overall, great place with good people.

Ive been here three times and I can say Ill never come back. Poor customer service at the counter in the back--they seem put off with serving customers, waited in line for 10 minutes with 2 guys at the counter just doing "busy work" and when they do actually help you they have an attitude. Why is this dinosaur of a place still in business?

Speaking strictly on the short African American man that works the counter in the back. Extremely rude, arrogant and condescending. Based souly on my encounter with this worker I will never return. Will also tell every other peraon about how terrible this place is. NO STARS

Good selection but try not to go on a weekend since the showroom is crowded and you can wait a long time before a salesperson is available to help. Once someone does help you the staff is knowledgeable and polite. Prices are reasonable and generally fair market value.
