BEWARE: I am writing this in hopes to help someone else from making the same mistake I did. I took my bike here to have it checked out. I previously spoke with the owner and he offered to do a courtesy visual inspection for me on the bike. I knew that I would need a rear tire and talking to other members of his staff they recommended that I do a 10k service since the previous owner did not have records. I decided to take the owner Joey up on his offer and took my bike there. When I went he was not there, they told me I could leave it there for him to look at and get back to me. On the ticket they wrote, "* Look over & call 1st" this was highlighted. Underneath that was the service that I thought I might need 10k and rear time. I will try to upload a picture because it now show 15k and Primary oil. Long story short, I called on Thursday following the Saturday I dropped off my bike. I actually spoke to the owner and he told me that he would look over the bike tomorrow and let me know what he finds. On Friday I get a call and they give me the run down on what my bike needs. I asked what the price was for the rear tire and brakes only and I was informed that they already started the work that I DID NOT AUTHORIZE yet. When I asked who approved it, I was told my voicemail is full and they dont have time to call me daily. So in the end I have a tire on my bike I did not want and service I did not authorize. Do yourself a favor and go someone else. I would say get it in writing but as you can see from my example that does not matter. The sad part is that I looked forward to working with a local shop verse going to the dealer and paying higher prices. Now I will have to find another shop to service my bikes. Thanks for nothing!

Took a Harley here because a friend recommended them and their great work. He also mentioned how awesome the manager, Joey, was. So I took in a bike that had not run in several years for a complete overhaul. After two months I got the bike back and it stopped running after a week. Took it back to have this fixed and got an angry call from Joey accusing me of sabotaging my own bike. Fixed that problem and got bike back with a jerry rigged fuel line and a broken fuel gauge. It ran fine, so no real problem. Later on I lost my front brake from a leak. Noticed the brake fluid was a different color and took bike back to them. Thought maybe they had put in the wrong brake fluid (its an older bike and can only do CAT 5). Was told they “never make mistakes” and had the bill from last time shoved in my face with the statement “See this? We didn’t work on your brakes last time, so its not us! We would have only done the brakes if it needed a complete overhaul!” So got the brakes fixed. Now the jerry rigged fuel system is leaking like a faucet, and I’m done with them.

This place is a Nightmare . I got TOTALLY RIPPED OFF. I had to pay everything up front for the work. Had a 97 green Ninja. Paid 2500 dollars up front for the work. They were suppose to go through everything and have it running tip top when I picked it up . they said 3 weeks... it was close to 5months when i FINALLY got it. Everytime i called up there to check on it .. Joey said "hey man , do you know how many bikes I got in here that need work.. im swamped with bikes" When i finally picked it up I couldnt get a mile down the road and it was bucking and shutting off. THen Joey said "ya man I got that thing set up for the track" I barely made it home after leaving it there another few days. They didint do half the stuff they said they would do. My lights were off the bike... the rpm wasnt working . Joey talked the talk to get my money then did not deliver. There isnt a low enough rating for this place. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a mechanic EVER ... DO NOT TAKE YOUR BIKE HERE

I have to say I dont understand the negative comments about Richmond Superbike. They have been doing all the work on my bike for the last two years and I can say it has been great working with them. They are a small business that genuinely loves what they are doing and it has been my experience that they truely care about their customers. On more than one occasion (yesterday being just one) Joey and team have saved me money by suggesting politely that I dont spend money on things I dont need and always look for ways to more cost effectively do the work I do need. Sometimes there is an option to an OEM replacement, maybe I go with it or maybe not but either way I am thankful their standard response isnt always the most expensive option available. Are they perfect? No, but then none of us are. Are they good folks trying to take care of their customers? All I can say is that has been my experience every time. To the folks at RSBK, thanks for all your hard work. I appreciate it.

Excellent service that is fair priced and you can trust is what you can expect from Richmond Superbike! They have transformed my brand new showroom leftover 2008 Kawasaki ZX6R to the 116 whp beast that it should have been from the factory. They have installed every aftermarket item possible on my bike, dyno tuned, and setup my suspension with successful results that will show on the street or track! I am extremely satisfied with their work and you can trust them with routine service intervals to custom work or anything in-between. I will not hesitate to contact them again for future service. Joey (owner), James, and Sonny are very knowledgeable and friendly. Joey always does a meet and greet and will make sure your happy after the work is completed. Alex thanks for transforming my machine into a piece of artwork that is a competitive powerhouse!! Thanks guys!!

I took my bike in for a dyno tune...now the bike wont start and throwing FI codes. They literally finished the dyno tune, pulled it outside made me pay $300 and left me in the parking lot with a bike that wouldnt start. Joey (the owner) literally sat inside and watched me sitting there trying to figure out what was wrong with my bike as I tried getting it to start. He didnt even come out to see what was wrong or offer any tools...!!!! This is nuts...now Im going to have to pay hundreds to get a dealer to look at it!!! not to mention the air/fuel ratio looks like a heartbeat until 6000 rpm going from lean to rich. ive gotten advice from other tuners in the area and have been told not to ride it untl it is properly tuned. they said the air/fuel ratio should be a straight line across the entire rpm range
