Recently renovated Albertsons, Coronado is the competition in town and we travel out of our way to shop over there by choice due to ANCIENT facilities and very poor displays at this store. We are a very affluent community and deserve a MUCH better store. You seem to upgrade everywhere else except Coronado. This Vons building is degrading all around us, building, displays and shelving and for years Vons has promised us a better store. Imperial beach has a new facility and Coronado does not? Something is very wrong here! Pay attention corporately because your customer service and management is equally horrible. The only amazing person working in the store is Ennes the manager! The street view is an eyesore and ugly to drive by let alone enter and shop. Ive lived here since 1985 and waiting ever since then for the promise of a new or remodeled store to become reality. What a pipe dream. All Vons is doing now is ruining their own reputation by allowing this store to decay slowly from the ground up. WE DESERVE BETTER! Please remodel this store soon! I know Coronado only has three grocery stores. PLEASE, for the love! Go to ANY other store! First of all, their care of refrigerated and frozen food is suspect. I learned years ago to stop buying my meat at Vons, because nearly every time I did, I would get sick the next day. Coincidence? I think not! Lines are nearly always long and there are often only 2 check stands open. But today was the real clincher. The checkout stand I went to crashed after my payment went through and I didnt get receipt. Ive learned to always get a receipt, because my "Just For You" deals and coupons dont always reflect on my receipt. So - I waited HALF AN HOUR for a receipt. Then the checker told me: It didnt go thru, I have to ring you up again. I was buying champagne for a party. I had 13 bottles of booze and they just threw them in bags - didnt offer a box or anything. And now that Im home? Yeah - you may have guessed. I was charged TWICE. Sorry VONS - I gave you chance and chance again. Im done.

It is a grocery store. This one gets bonus for extending their hours to midnight- much needed in Coronado, as so many things close early- but this location tends to be understaffed during summer months, and the staff who is working gets a little less than friendly with long lines. I try to keep it friendly and chat up the cashiers and smile, but it has got to be hard dealing with so many tourists. Management needs to hire some more seasonal help- or have staff work longer hours! Also- the produce section gets pretty ripe when it gets hot. Sometimes there is some rotten fruit that is not seen by staff and the flys get to it. :-/

Its the best big box grocer on the island, that is not saying a whole lot. Fortunately there are a decent amount of people who have worked there for a number of years and the store is very well run. On the upside, its a great place if you want to buy booze AND food

Great group of people, that work there. Really busy the day I went in but that was because of the holiday. They had a decent selection of items, but not a large brand selection. Its not a problem for me, but for brand loyalists, it is something to consider.

Its a smaller Vons than what Im used to but its well stocked in all departments. The store is clean and well managed. It doesnt have a public restroom, which is the only negative thing. The store has a small town feel, which I found to be very appealing.

Good place to shop for organic foods, groceries, fresh produce with excellent taste and life span. Food in the Deli is great and it has a huge "Wine section ". Fresh Flowers, plenty of meats. Parking lot is big and there is also street parking.

This is one of our favorite grocery stores on the island. The wine selection is wonderful and the staff is super friendly. It gets crowded during the summer tourist season but going early in the morning takes the stress away. :)

Visiting Coronado on a weekend vacation. Needed some supplies. This Vons was one of the only things open passed 9pm, even on a weekend night. Thankfully it is a fully stocked grocery story with reasonable prices and warm staff.

Very cool grocery store, not that big but has what you need. Parking is in the rear since the store is on Orange. Had some more rear foods which was a nice surprise. Somewhere to hit up before going to your hotel.

Sparkling! A nice selection of organic produce. Even though its a smallish store, the isles are very well organized, and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. A fantastic wine selection, with great prices.

They list themselves as having a pharmacy. Yet when I call to call in a prescription for a patient, I am told they do NOT have a pharmacy. This is misleading, inaporpriate.

Small grocery store that is usually pretty packed every time I have gone. Even with its small size, there is a good selection of food available for purchase.
