After a couple of visits to this store I can report my review. Dallas Vintage Toys is hands down the most impressive collection of 70s, 80s and early 90s toys I have ever seen under one roof. The staff there was extremely knowledgeable, as they should be, and could not be stumped by any random toy I requested. They could even identify toys based off loose descriptions. 9 times out of 10, they had one of what I asked for "in the back". When they didnt have it: they had just sold it or anticipated getting one again soon. They price their toys kind of like Lobster: Market Price. Nothing in the store has marked prices on it because they verify whatever you are asking for is worth on ebay/amazon/etc before quoting you. I believe that they really do give fair pricing for whatever it is you ask for, and also will take a hit on their end of the deal to make you happy with your purchase. All of us dream of having "our old toys back" and for most of us, that is a dream that will never happen. At Dallas Vintage Toys, the dream has come true, and you can step right back into your childhood. I dare you to spend less than an hour there on your first visit! Located in the 6th floor of an obscure office tower, part of the fun is finding the building, going up 6 floors, and ringing the "Door Bell" where they greet you. The initial room you walk into is barren, with unsorted toys. But turn the corner and there is 30 years of overwhelming toy history. This place is a ultimate treasure trove for anyone under the age of 40 looking to reconnect with childhood memories or hard to find toys. Well worth the visit to see the toys and pick up 1 or two to take back home with you. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

This place is a joke. I went with my wife to sell some things and after getting to the building and going to the second floor were wondering where this place was. Finally figured it out and went to open the door - it was locked...this is during business hours too! So some guy opens the door with this look on his face as if saying "what the hell do you want?" and Im like "I have some things Id like to sell." So we get inside and theres a bunch of people standing around, theres boxes everywhere with toys in them. It looks like theyre taking a break from playing Dungeons and Dragons. Theres no order no displays, and they looked like I was wasting their time. Most of their stuff was in the back rooms I could see filled with boxes.Seriously a joke! Staff are rude and worthless. Too bad I cant give zero stars...

Stopped in on the recommendation of a friend during a recent trip to Dallas and was not disappointed. The selection of new and vintage action figures and collectibles (both boxed and loose) is worth the drive for the true collectible hunter. The inventory is always changing so make the trip before you miss out on the one figure youve been looking for everywhere... The owner is super chill and the prices are very reasonable. I found a number of older items priced not much above original retail. The owner says they ship anywhere in the world and post pictures of their stock online. Check them out now! Or dont, because I dont want you to buy that one figure that IVE been looking for everywhere...

I first went to DVT a couple of years ago and saw so many toys that I used to have as a kid and wanted/needed to own again. Now I go multiple times each week. Its like geek therapy. Be sure and let Shaun the owner or the awesome staff know what youre looking for as they have way more toys and collectibles in back that may be on their website or ebay store. Theres also a legendary back storage room full of toy treasures.

I came here after seeing posts of some of the stuff he has and just browsed around. The owner is very friendly...after going to another place and having to ring a bell to have someone open a door and feeling unwanted, this was a great change. I didnt end up buying anything but I took note of some things I was interested in. Dont believe the bad reviews.

The first time Ive gone to height st. i just had to stop by at this shop. its a haven for collectors who enjoy art. they have a lot of selection that will keep you wanting to buy them. as much as i hate blind boxes, it keeps you excited of what youre gonna get. i had to take away a star cuss its pretty expensive for some of the stuff they got.

Worst customer service ever. Walked in, three people standing at the counter who all worked there and not a single one asked if i needed help. Too busy talking about movies and tv shows. When i asked if they had something didnt even bother to check, just directed me to the website. Made me feel like a burden for even being there.

This place is way cool. I like both art and Japanese toys, and this place happens to be the epitome of artful Japanese toys. Want a weird bunny figurine with bloody fangs? This is the place for you. Want a twelve-inch-tall (at least) samurai or ninja figurine? Come on in. Highly recommended.

Id normally give them 5 stars, but today I take a 45 minute drive out to the store to trade something in. I arrive after a long drive and they tell me that the owner isnt there so they cant buy my stuff. Than why even open the store if you wont take trade-ins.

Dallas Vintage Toys sold me an item that wast exactly what I thought it was and was very helpful in accepting a return for the item even after I gave them a hard time about it. People sometimes make mistakes, this is an honest store.

Sold some vintage toys that were cluttering up my garage and got a good, fair price. This place was jam-packed with toys for enthusiasts of all genres, and the staff was friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic.

Terrible customer service. Have emailed several times requesting more info or pics of items of interest, have never received any response from the store.

Best Variety for loose wrestling figures, but it would be cool if they stocked recent wrestling figures. Besides that nice store.
