I like this store a lot--by far my favorite Vons in San Diego--because its clean and almost always has everything that Im looking for in stock. The amount of cheese they have is ridiculously amazing, like every one under the sun! Well, at least Im impressed by the selection. Its a split style which is really the only gripe I have. Produce, cheese, dairy, and the meat department on one side and dry goods, frozen foods and alcohol are on the other. If you forget something on one side, you have to walk your butt back outside to the other and that can be a pain if youre short on time. The employees are friendly and helpful, especially the ones that work in the wine area. Theyre always quick to ask what they can help you find and suggest similar items. The location of the store is great (really close to Trader Joes) and parking is never a problem, either.

This Vons is incredible and unique in term of grocery store design. The store is split into two sections, one section set up for produce, meats, seafood, deli items and the other sections for frozen and canned foods, along with an absolutely spectacular wine and liquor section. These two sections are separated by a huge garden courtyard area, which has a sitting area as well. Prices are maybe a little higher here than other grocery stores, but I think the selection is better and the fresh food is actually better. And again, the wine and liquor department is just great. I mean they have their own temperature controller wine cellar for their premium wines and liquors. Its definitely something to be checked out. All in all, I really like this Vons. Plus, Liberty Station has many other interesting places to see. And parking isnt a problem in this area.

I have always felt this "liberty station" was a silly conversion of the old NTC property and one visit to this Vons convinced me I was right. They had to split the store across two buildings with a courtyard in between. If youre used to shopping at Vons you wont find anything where you expect it. The parking lot is laid out very confusing and you have to both drive and walk a lot further than necessary to get here. I guess for those seeking to while away their day immersed in a "shopping experience" this place is for you. If you want convenience efficiency and low prices almost any other store is better.

I always shop at this VONS for quality and quantity. The two-section layout of the store is unique to this VONS but Id say it flows OK. My roommate introduced me to the concept of shopping along the outer edges of the store because everything in the middle sections is full of preservatives. This store flows really well if you hug the outside parameter. 2 on service because there is almost always a line at the checkout and I am not sure why a big store cannot have enough checkers and baggers. I watched this old man customer bag his own groceries to move the line along!

In the last 6 months this store has really gone downhill. I came in yesterday to buy my groceries and I probably wont be back. Every employee I encountered was rude. The girl bagging my groceries just stood there and stared at me when I gave her my Trader Joes bags to bag up my groceries. The one person working in the deli didnt acknowledge that I was there so I walked away without getting what I needed. Prices and "deals" arent even that good, two stars for location convenience and the lady Mary in the deli who is always personable and helpful.

I had a great experience shopping at Vons- Liberty Station. The 2 ladies behind the counter in the deli went out of their way to provide the right cut of meat I was looking for and my wife sent me to the store just to get these great Tor tia Chips she loves. They were sold out, but the ladies, Jessie and Maria were more than accommodating, they said they would make some fresh chips just for me! WOW!! GREAT Service...Im a fan of the Vons Deli in Liberty Station. Jim

I really cant stand going into this Vons , I will say the store is very nice , but the people they have working there all seem very disgruntled . ...never any smiling or a " hows it going ? " the cashier checking me out today barely looked at me , was pushing my groceries across the counter with no care at all ! !!!!!! Jeez people can you at least try to make your customers feel a little welcomed ? ???

This place is awesome. Great selection of food, friendly staff, especially the cashiers. The floral ladies are fantastic! Very nice and definitely know how to make a good looking bouquet for your lover. If you are looking for a good lunch, wait for the fresh chicken they serve mid-lunch. The first batch may be a little dry from sitting around.

This is a interesting store as it has two stores one side has the bakery Deli and Meat Department and the the middle Plaza carries flowers potted plants and sodas and vegetables on special The other side carries canned goods, cookies crackers pickles canned vegetables Frozen Foods cereals Wine and Liquors including check out counters.

Vons is great, You always get the quantity covered when you shop there. I recently started going to the Old New VONS in Liberty Station. I call it the old new vons becuase its a brand new vons that was built in an old navy base so its old new : ) They have a great deal going right now on Canadian Club!

This store is set up different than most store DC Ive seen but thats okay. Selections were good and prices reasonable. Getting groceries from the check out to the car can be a pain in the rear if youve got a fair amount of product to move.

Plenty of parking, pristine and easy on the eyes... But why on earth would a store cut in half be a logical idea? Lines get a bit out of control (only on one half), but staff is friendly enough.

Store itself is great but theres some serious staffing issues. They never have enough people working the deli and theres always long lines to check out. Staff is usually friendly

Average Vons just like all the other ones nothing is so special about this one . Vons have good quality food and the prices a little bit high but good market for grocery.

They are always out of stuff. Three of my 7 items they were out of. I go to Ralphs down the street which is smaller, but they are usually stocked at least.

Really is a great supermarket large variety of products. Fresh produce is amazing. Really enjoyed the bakery department. Desserts are amazing

Really cool store. Around half is outside. Very clean and nice people. I am used to seeing Safeways instead of Vons in Washington.

Great little store. Large selections of fresh produce ,vegetables and fruits. Close to the hotel were staying.
