Very disappointed with this dealer. I bought a used Lexus back in late February. The day after purchase I took car in for Maryland inspection and it needed brakes and rotors replaced. Lindsay payed for these repairs so I thought, okay these guys stand behind their product. That was soon to be proven to be untrue. About three weeks later I start to hear a humming sound coming from car that quickly got louder and louder. I called Lindsay to inquire about noise and discovered just how bad this dealer really was. First I asked for my rep sales AJ who was off that day, so then was transferred to a so called manager. I cannot remember his first name but last name was Brown. This guy was rude, condescending dismissive, and unwilling to even consider that this car was having issues. Prior to this call I had another mechanic look at car and was told it needed wheel bearings. Next day I drive to Lindsay and speak to Craig Novitsky who tells me he would help me out, but first deal with my sales rep AJ. Aj takes me and the car on test drive and suggests that because I have driven the car three thousand miles in four weeks that I could have hit a pothole or the bearings could have worn out in that time. Potholes do not cause wheel bearings to go and three thousand miles should not ruin wheel bearings when they sold me the car saying it had been fully inspected, in great shape, and was safe. Anyway after sitting in their service department for three hours AJ brings car back stating that their “master technician” had went over car with a fine toothed spoon, and discovered that I only needed to replace my right rear wheel bearing, at a cost of $785.00. To which I replied that they should cover this cost. As you can imagine they refused. So I took car to another mechanic who showed me that the left rear wheel bearing was much worse than the one their “master technician” claimed was the problem, and replaced both for $600.00. Now I follow up with Mr. Novitsky who claimed he would help me, and got one return call and a promise that he would have another manager contact me. That was another lie and I never heard from Lindsay again. But just like all the complaints on their site, I am sure there will be some generic response to this review stating how sorry they are and I can call the general manager for more help. I would never deal with these people again and would never refer anyone else to deal with them either. It almost seems that they deal with certain demographics differently….BEWARE!!!!!!!

Note that this applies to the service center. Buyer beware! Do your homework! Redefining "stealership" Let me preface this by saying that I am cheap - and have historically performed basic maintenance on my vehicles myself. Having owned "premium" vehicles in the past, the parts may be slightly more expensive but the general work is the same. That being said, for my wifes Lexus we generally take it to Lindsay so that she knows that her car is getting the "TLC" of the dealer - even though the guts are pretty much shared by any of the millions of Camries on the road. I expect to take a hit to the wallet when taking a car to the dealer for any regular service (although competitors now offer the initial maintenance for free...) - however Lindsays egregious attempts to tack on unnecessary work and rip me off tread well past insulting. "Value add extras" provided by Lindsay for my recent 30k service include the following: - BG Oil Additive - pure snake oil that you may need if you buy oil from 7-eleven - BG Gas Additive - see above - Drain air out of tires and fill with Nitrogen - unless youre taking your tarted-up Camry to run NASCAR on Sundays, this is completely unnecessary - Replaced "differential" fluid - I assume they replaced the transmission fluid, completely unnecessary (this is a factory lifetime fill - does not need to be done) - And, they did not bother to replace the brake fluid (which is what is actually supposed to be done) Unfortunately, this is a case of caveat emptor - and I did not do the research ahead of time nor did I go through the Lindsay "service" line-by-line to reconcile what they recommended with what actually needed to be done. I unfortunately trusted my "service advisor" to do what is actually required, rather than just perform a random assortment of services designed to jack up their profit margins. So, classic case of a dealer thats out to screw you. If you must take your vehicle here, I recommend the following to at least keep these crooks somewhat in check: - Read your owners manual to figure out what needs to be done - Only ask for the services required to be performed by the dealer (dont ask for the XX mile service) Even better - see if you can find a Toyota dealer to do the work for you, or an independent shop you can trust. Youll miss out on the bargain-basement Hertz rental, but leave not feeling like you just got completely abused.

I would like to give a big shout out to my salesmen DOUG. After looking for cars in the Hampton Roads Area, I decided to expand my search. I found out about the car through USAA car buying program. Doug contacted me and told me about 2 cars that fit my need. He also made sure that the car would fit my budget. We discussed the price and everything before I even got there. Local dealers would not even budge. I called nearly every dealer in Hampton roads, and they all made it seem like they were too good to offer discounts or give an out the door price. They claimed to be competitive price and would not haggle. Doug gave me a super fair price and told me everything up front. I put a hold on the car and drove up there. I’m glad that I took the 5 hour trip. Doug called ahead of time to make sure that I was going up there and also to tell me that he was going to put 4 new tires on my car. I got some nice yokahoma geolanders put on. I was surprised that a dealer would go out their way to put 4 brand new tires on the car. Especially after a price was already negotiated with a discount. So 4 new tires saved me about 6-800 dollars. But then again, this is a Lexus dealer, They seem to go out their way for their customers. The dealership seemed nice. They offered free name brand refreshments. I’m used to NJ dealers that have vending machines. But not Lyndsey Lexus, They were on point. I should have took a coke for the road, but I forgot The finance guy was pretty good as well. I explained to him that I had finance through USAA and that I was good on finance. He did explain that there were options through lexus and explained that there are dealer warranties, but he wasn’t pushy. Once I told him that I was good, he went on to finish wrapping up my paperwork. He even gave me VA tags and registration paperwork. Dealers in Hampton roads like to bleed you out every cent. But not Lyndsey lexus. They didn’t push any unnecessary addons. Also, They took my trade in. I explained to them that it was a death trap and worth scrap metal. The car was only worth 400 and they gave me 400 like I asked. And that was after we negotiated the price of the car. Long story short. If you are in the Hampton roads and considering driving up there. Go for it. It Is worth the drive. The service was good. The people are good. And the free name brand refreshments are good.
