STAY CLEAR OF THIS BUSINESS "FIRST OFF I WAS FORCED TO GIVE THE 1 STAR" IF I HAD A CHOICE IT WOULD BE ZERO. " TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE FROM START TO FINISH" I am a CDL driver and get my eyes checked twice a year and have been here in the past and the service was good. Theres a new store manager at this location and a completely new staff expept MR WILLY who has also gave us issues in the past. The new manager hes just a cocky little snot that acts like your inconveniencing him by even being there. I made an appointment for myself and my wife yesterday for new glasses and an eye exam for both of us. The eye doctor giving the exam was short and quite rude and made both myself and my wife feel rushed flipping through the lenses at 100 miles per hour when asked to do it again she acted put off like omg she had to flip a lens again. I dont feel I got a quality eye exam and will not return here ever again. #1 The selection of glasses was far less then previous years . #2 When we asked questions the two ladies sitting at the front desk and Mr. Manager acted like we were interrupting there little party and we were bothering them. #3 MR. WILLY was the clown that helped us with our final selection. He was nice enough at first until I refused to buy the tripple coated bla bla bla lenses he was trying to sell me for an extra 300 dollars. When I told him I just wanted plain ol lenses with scratch resistance he pretty much threw a fit because I didnt buy what he was trying to force me into. He just at this point had a really nasty attitude telling myself and my wife if we didnt like it just to pay for the eye exam and leave.. I did mention to him at this point I was also a business owner in the valley and that I will be for sure getting in touch with someone in charge of this location about our treatment here at this point he did somewhat change his tune. #4 Last time I was at this location I bought a 400 dollar pair of Oakley gas can sunglasses and had them sent out to put prescription lenses in them. Now that my prescription changed I asked him to have my glasses sent out and have the lenses updated. He refused stating that if I wanted my lenses for my sunglasses I had to buy a complete new frame for my glasses even though there still almost new frames I had just bought from the location on my last visit. I WAS SO TICKED OFF AT THIS POINT I WAS SEEING RED AND MY WIFE WAS IN TEARS. I just smiled and said please ring us up so we can leave. The so called manager listening to our DEBATE from across the room and clearly doing nothing about our treatment acting as if he didnt want to be bothered. This store and its management and MR. WILLY are like used car salesmen they will try to force you into buying things you dont want or need and when you refuse they will treat you like trash. COMPLAINTS TO THE ARIZONA BBB WILL ALSO FOLLOW THIS REVIEW. "STAY CLEAR OF THIS BUSINESS" "UPDATE" WHEN PICKING UP OUR GLASSES THE SAME SO CALLED MANAGER ACTED AS IF WE WERE TROUBLING HIM BY EVEN BEING THERE. THEY DID NOT OFFER A FITTING JUST HANDED THE GLASSES OVER THE COUNTER AND SAT RIGHT BACK DOWN.. THE SAME GLASSES THAT FIT PERFECTLY WHEN WE TRIED THEM ON BEFORE BUYING NOW SIT ON MY FACE SIDEWAYS AS WELL AS THE GLASSES I BOUGHT FOR MY WIFE. NOT TO MENTION THE CUSTOM PAIR OF SUN GLASSES I BOUGHT THE FIRST TIME I PUT THEM ON THEY FELL APART IN MY HANDS MISSING A SCREW. I HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB AGAINST THIS SO CALLED COMPANY. IF ONE OF MY MANAGERS TREATED ONE OF MY CUSTOMERS THIS WAY THEY WOULD BE MORE THEN FIRED IN AN INSTANT. SHAME ON YOU EYEGLASS WORLD. SIGNED A FORMER CUSTOMER

The only reason why this rating is 2 stars and not a 1 is because the manager and asm couldnt control that lack luster customer service skills,and lack off empathy of the optometrist. I called and spoke with the manager because my husband scratched both his contact at work. He literally cannot see without them. I was told to come on in and they would do everything they could for him. I thought great,he really is responding to urgency of the matter for us. My family drove 40 mins just to get to this location and the optometrist (Dr.Offoak) refused to see us and also turned one of her scheduled appointments away because she was running behind. The receptionist refused to tell her how far of a drive we made just to come there to be seen. We even offered to pay double just to be seen. We spoke with the assistant manager who she tried to ask the optometrist (Dr.Offoak) to see us but she refused. The assistant manager apologized because she couldnt make the optometrist care about having customer service skills. We really could have saved the gas,and been less frustrated by Dr.Offoak lack of caring, understanding, and lack luster customer service. She wouldnt even speak with us. Her receptionist took her in the closet just to tell her why we were there. Seemed like she didnt care who told us what, or who talked to her about it..she didnt care how this reflected on her company Eyeglass World. The fact of the matter is that as a potential customer we dont care who told us information personally at the end of the day Eyeglass World told us that information. Not an individual. Everything that is done while in that lab coat,or name badge is a reflection of "Eyeglass World". suggest that Dr.Offoak really take a look at personalized customer care based on her clients needs. Great job on behalf of the management team although it was to no avail.

The sales person I talked to tried to sell me on a polycarbonate lens upgrade, but failed to specify that said upgrade is an ADDITIONAL $100, rather than raising the total price to $100, which was the implication. Also, I scheduled an appointment specifically because I wanted same-day service, which is boldly advertised all around the exterior of the store, but was told my glasses wouldnt be ready for another 3 days. Why schedule appointments for same-day service, why advertise same-day service at all, if thats not what the customers are going to get? Its false advertising, its dishonest sales tactics, and its very disappointing. I will say that most service members were friendly (one was very short with me) and the ophthalmologist was cheerful. Still dont have my glasses (again, I was lied to about same-day service), so well see in a few days if they turn out all right. Update: the lenses I got didnt seem to be quite as strong as I need. Very close, but not quite. However, I wont be asking them to redo the lenses, as the manager I spoke to LAUGHED AT ME when I said I didnt think the prescription was strong enough. No way on earth am I going back to a place where Im laughed at. Thats just rude beyond words. Never returning. I also notice that "Nancy" has been responding to all low-star reviews by inviting reviewers to contact the Eyeglass World management team, but they cant retroactively make my experience any less terrible, so unless Im getting an apology AND a refund, I dont know what she thinks the management team can do to make this better. Im not sure I should bother contacting them. I AM sure that, instead of running around trying to put out all these fires, they should concentrate on improving their overall customer experience so that what happened to me and the others doesnt happen again.
