The store itself isnt too bad. Its a small store conveniently located in Glenville with a decent selection to satisfy your basic shopping needs. However, the reason why I rated it so low is because of the lousy employees they have working there, especially the incompetent deli department workers. Almost every time I go there and ask for my cold cuts very thin, they slice them nauseatingly thick. Maybe one or two of the guys seem to understand what "very thin" actually means. On top of that, not only are my cold cuts usually disgustingly thick, but Ive received them sliced with some sort of plastic still on the outside. I had to sit in my kitchen and peel the plastic off the outside of each individual slice, which is something a customer should never have to deal with. This has happened on more than one occasion. Another time I was paying for my food, and the cashier kept looking at me with this disgusting ugly face which I just wanted to punch or at least ask what the hell he was looking at. He was a sort of chubby kid in his teens and it was incredibly awkward. Not every employee is bad there though, Ive come across a small number of very friendly and helpful workers in there too, but most of them didnt leave an impression or gave the store a really bad image. Hope this place smartens up and hires some better help, because theyre about to lose me as a customer.

For One I work here, for now, and its convenient for me because I live nearby and I can go walking, its a walking distance 5-10 minute walk. I have been a costumer here for 21 years. This place has almost everything. The people here are very respectful, responsible, and truly friendly. Sometimes silly and goofy, other times a little serious only when needed. The people who work here are exactly like a family. Extraordinary teamwork and tries as much as they could. The people who work at this Stop&Shop, maybe different, as in different shapes and sizes and skin color, and more than one language still I am truly hopeful and very thankful that I met these guys & gals!!!! I really appreciate them and my experience as a costumer as well. I thank to those who have come to us and those who are still out there passing by. I really mean it!!!!!

Fine Stop & Shop in Glenville. Worth visiting if you have another local errand or you are continuing N or E on the Merritt, from which there is relatively easy access (definitely easier than heading all the way to the Post Rd). Parking is a little challenging (small spaces + poorly parked SUVs) and the cart return is awkward. Its a smaller location and sometimes I dont think it gets restocked as often (is the produce and deli as fresh/high turnover as other locations). But its completely fine for staples.

Great little supermarket. This is a smaller Stop & Shop...but it has a good selection of products, is VERY clean, the staff is extremely helpful and theres never a line when youre ready to check out. There are many grocery stores in my area, but this Stop & Shop is always my go-to.

Quick stop to pick up what you need and get out of there. Home town market. I do not prefer this location but if it was closer to me maybe I would. I think this chain is pricey and only go here if I have to or if I have a coupon.

Clean, trash grade "A" crash produs. The store in White Plains has long way to go in order to be at the same level of service.
