Peace Coffee has become my favorite shop. The decor is interesting and comfortable, with some variety in seating available, including a room off the main space that can be used when not reserved by a group or hosting one of the shops classes (like, how to make good coffee at home). The coffee is top notch. My favorite is the Sumatra, which, with apologies to you purists out there, turns downright creamy and rich with the application of some sugar and half & half. The staff are kind and courteous, play an eclectic mix of music, and many are very knowledgeable about their craft. In addition to classes and hosting groups, they also cater, and appear to offer large coffee dispensers for events. Lastly, they have outside seating on Minnehaha, offering AM sun, bird and people-watching, and a generally relaxing atmosphere for a book and a baked-good.

My favorite coffee shop. The wonderful atmosphere (reclaimed wood, sunny, good music) is augmented by a knowledgable and friendly staff. But the bottom line is that the coffee is the best in town, no question. Talk to the baristas and you discover theyve been recruited from cafes around town, an All-Star team of coffee making artisans. I often find myself stunned at their drinks. Food wise, theyre getting their wares from the Wedge and Common Roots--how can you go wrong? Just a great place.

I grade my coffee places on the coffee - and Peace coffee is a great third wave coffee place - focusing on well crafted beverages which sometimes take a little longer or a little extra fuss. Besides the coffee, they have a lot of great other things going for them - they roast their own beans (about a mile away), and are committed to sustainable farmers and innovating in their roasting. Truly a gem of a business. They just need more space so I can always find a seat!

Best coffee in the city! I discovered it after moving from Portland and needing to fill my craving for well above average coffee. The staff can be friendly, the snacks are yummy, and the ambiance is relaxed (besides the baristas occasional judgemental looks). The staff can be extra hipster-y which makes it hard to bring people here who dont look like hipsters. :/ Its not nice to mock your customers, they are the reason you have a job/business.

Dedicated parking lot (although only about 8 spots), and a reservable meeting room make this spot stand out. When we reserved it for 2 hours on a Tuesday afternoon, you just had to make $25 minimum in purchases, or else pay the difference if you didnt spend that much. I didnt have any coffee but the hot chai and the matcha latte were really good.

Sorry Im just not a fan of this place. Its a big fish bowl with giant windows and hardly any personality. I feel like the bad guy when I tell people that I dont really like most Peace Coffee, the roast always too dark. Hey Im no fan of Starbucks either but there are great coffee-shops and their are over rated coffee-shops. This is over rated.

I love this place a good inexpensive cup of coffee. I rate it four stars because in the winter its freezing in their. I dont know if its because its an older building or if their heating isnt topnotch. But if youre looking for a cozy place in Minnesotas perpetual winter this probably isnt the place.

You can buy peace coffee all over the city, but for some reason it tastes the best here. However they brew it, it tastes amazing! The atmosphere & music are also lovely, and the service is friendly. It is a great place to chill by yourself for hours, or spend time with friends.

Great coffee shop. Standard espresso and coffee drinks are well-made, and the specials are always original and really tasty. The interior is super neat, although it can be hard to find a spot to sit if you come at a busy time. Outdoor seating is a bonus.

Great South Minneapolis neighborhood atmosphere. Good coffee and great customer service. The people that work here are awesome. This place is a hub for the Longfellow neighborhood and is one of the reasons this neighborhood is so cool.

I love this place and used to come all the time for a sweet cream coldpress, a soft pretzel with this amazing spicy mustard, and to do sodokus. Theyve got a lot of seeing and this huge wooden table thats really beautiful.

Nice to have great, large, relaxing coffee place. Best coffee and can in bulk pkg whole bean or ground. Sold many places now. Prefer co-op to grind amt I want. Nice samples and no paper cup unless to go. Also best tea

Great Coffee and Great Staff. Food selection is bare but if youre looking for a great cup, come here. But if you are coming in at 6 pm they have been running out coffee and have to wait about 15 minutes to get a cup.

Best espresso (compared to a BUNCH of shops in Minneapolis) - really rich and mellow. Sunny interior, clean updated bathrooms, friendly staff, good sound system, snappy Internet, tasty soups and pastries.

Wonderful, homely place that I visit very frequently. I recommend any of their beverages-- they take care to craft interesting recipes and deliver a great product. I also recommend the coffee classes.

Great coffee, and a neat shop on Minnehaha. It can sometimes be hard to find a place to sit, but thats only because of how popular they are, not that they lack the room or the seating.

I love the atmosphere here, and definitely love the coffee (and occasionally tea) they offer! My only complaint is that the seating options are, by and large, not very comfortable.

Tasty, fair trade coffee, though on the expensive side. Sometimes its hard to find a place to sit, so dont count on it for a quiet meeting spot. Love the Guatemalan dark roast.

Peace coffee is easily my favorite coffee shop in Minneapolis. Get a bottomless cup of their organic coffee, sit down, do some work, enjoy yourself. Youll thank me later.

A sweet little place. Very quiet & peaceful. Wish theyd had a larger selection of alternative milk & food that wasnt sweet. Very pleasant place to spend some time.

Local roaster + coffee shop. Environmentally focused. GREAT drinks. They have a partnership with Patisserie 46, the best Euro bakery in the area, for their bakery.

A good place to study with refillable drip coffee. The fancier drinks are expensive but delicious; they know what theyre doing. I like the bagels too!

Nice calming space with great coffee. We frequently pick up fresh ground coffee packets to go to make our own at home. Prices a bit high, but fair.

My fiance and I waited 15 minutes for her mocha. 3 people working behind the counter. Maybe 10 people in the building, and only 1 order ahead of us.
