EDIT: Manager Rafat called once while I was busy, so I returned his call and then he has subsequently failed to return my call for the past almost 3 weeks. Is he ignoring me? Is he unable to have a productive conversation with a customer? Or is this just the kind of dealership that Chevy Exchange is? Their service department would earn zero stars if not for the fact that the majority of their staff are exceptionally nice and well intentioned people. Their service manager Chuck Turck however is another story. Had my car in 3 times to fix a clunking driveshaft issue they still could not fix despite sending them a factory service bulletin on the issue. Then a faulty repair leading to snapping a ball joint causing me to miss my trip that weekend, easily could have killed me if it happened on the highway. All of this would be understandable had the service manager not tried to deny that it was a faulty repair and act indignant and patronizing when I was incredibly unhappy with the quality of work. He made zero attempt in any way to remedy the customer relationship and now Im left with a nice big scratch on the inside of my wheel. He could have easily offered some token of apology like my next oil change free but just wanted to get rid of me ASAP and instead of dealing with me personally he hid behind his service desk associates and made me go through them. I would drive to Milwaukee for maintenance before I will come back here and will most definitely never buy a vehicle from them. They care about getting your money and nothing else.

After test driving several cars, I finally narrowed down the make and model of the car I wanted. I used True Car, to find the best deal. Stephanie Brandt, from The Chevy Exchange contacted me and we agreed to meet in person. Upon meeting Stephanie, she handed me over to Jeff Albert. Jeff found the exact car I was looking for and I made a deposit - with the understanding that the car would be delivered either Thursday or Friday of that week (the deal was made on a Monday). I had to call Jeff on Thursday to find out the status. He informed me at that time the car was coming from Canada and that it should arrive by Tuesday at the latest. Monday, I had to call Jeff AGAIN, to find out the status. He said that it would be later on that week - but I was going on vacation. So, while I was on vacation AND because I DID NOT HEAR FROM JEFF, I called Jeff again. Mind you, this is 3.5 weeks after the deposit was made. Finally, once I got home from vacation, I found out that the car was sold out from under Jeff. This never should have happened since I made the deposit, the car should have been marked SOLD. I spoke to the manager, Rob Johns, who assured me who would try to "right" the situation. I have yet to hear from Rob. By the way, my father called Jeff to communicate his displeasure about how the deal went down and Jeff hung up on him. If you want to be treated poorly and want to waste your time...then the Chevy Exchange is the right dealership for you.

Drove 5hours round trip Monday 12-14-15 from Wisconsin to purchase a pre-owned Chevy suburban from the Chevrolet exchange in lake bluff Illinois. I placed a deposit on the truck Saturday with Stephanie who assured me I would not be dissipointed and that the truck was in excellent shape. I spent a fair amount of time Saturday over the phone with Stephanie and even had her pull the truck in the shop for me over the phone to confirm its condition and send photos. She failed to disclose the rear bumper had damage one side and paint chipping on the other, scratches on the driver side front bumper, and a large crease-dent in drivers door. It didnt take an expert to disclose these defects they were very visible to the common eye. I am very dissipointed that she sent a potential customer from another state and failed to point out its condition. It would have been nice to know this truck was used by a chicago taxi service as well...it clearly showed. The sales manger was kind to ask to make things right and he did refund my deposit as he should have. My recommendation is to have upper management give you an expert report of condition prior to coming to this dealership from long distance as I have clearly learned Stephanie is not well trained or ethical in pre-owned sales.

Wors dealership I ever seen in my life! I just lost 2 weeks waiting for the car and in the end they told me its came wrong car, sorry. And they dont cooperate between themselves. One guy call me and saying car is coming, just wait, another one tells me ,we not gonna make deal. But before I let them check my credit score, and they did like 15 times, the price of the new car was 54000. And I told them Im putting down payment 8000$,but its still didnt work! Nobody call me back, just after 1 day. It was ridiculous. And my score went down. ..and they couldnt get me credit for only 45000$,they said your credit not good. .....!!!! And the guy sales person the name is Mike or Michael he was very slow and rude to me and looks like he never sold cars before. I bought 4 cars for last 2 years, so I know a lot! And never nobody asked me to show my personal taxes for buying a car. And this people did....which is was very weird. So.... after all this stress I went to Matt price in Highland Park, no, first I just called him. And he said he will find a car Im requesting for 1 hour. And guys! I got 6 gram more expensive and better car with no problems. For 1 hour! !!!!! With low interest!!!!

I have been shopping around for a new truck for a few weeks and I was having an extremely hard time finding a dealership that wasnt trying to rip me off. I have worked as a mechanic at a few dealerships and know some of the tricks they try to pull and when they do that I dont want to have anything to do with them. A friend suggested I try The Chevy Exchange, and I am glad I took his advice. It isnt the largest Chevy dealer in the country but I kinda like that. I was shown the truck I was interested in by a great guy named Gary Williamson, my salesman. He was super nice and informative. We then met with the sales manager Rob and he was super nice too. We went over numbers and they got me exactly where I wanted. I had a short wait and bought a bottle of coke for a dime out of their vintage coke machine! I then met Mike in finance and he made things clear and understandable, no bait and switch or over complicated jargon. I will recommend this dealer to anyone looking for great service, great deals and some of the most honest salespeople I have ever met. I know where I will be buying my cars from for now on!

Llyod was awesome The vehicle was dropped off by a different body shop on a tow bed they said the couldnt work on the car because the steering wheel was locked and would send it to their other store with more advanced tech That still didnt work so it was sent the chevy exchange in lake bluff service was great until I paid and got the vehicle back My steering wheel is placed further back than it was The turn signal is even lower it feel extremely weird there are bolts and screws that were not put back The cover for the steering wheel was just sitting scrunched up behind the wheel like someone just poked their fingers through to get to When I said something about the steering wheel being pushed back and the cover incorrect i was told they didnt do anything with the steering wheel when the reason for the vehicle being there in the first place because the ignition switch locked as well as steering wheel and brakes When I first spoke to Llyod about the work on the vehicle he said the steering column had to be replaced How did they find out this info without touching it I really need someone to explain
