While searching for my first car, I visited Knauz after a terrible experience at the Gurnee Hyundai dealership and expected to receive similar treatment here. To my pleasant surprise, Chet was exactly the person I had been looking for to help me figure out what kind of car to buy. He was a very charming and worldly gentleman who treated me and my family with the utmost respect, courtesy, and kindness throughout the entire car-buying process. He answered every question I had about the cars, the financing, and the warranties offered and let me lead the conversation in the direction I wanted it to go, rather than manipulating it as salesmen at other dealerships had tried to. I came prepared to Knauz with research on car packages and printed out financing excel sheets and Chet was more than willing to immediately talk pricing, financing, and laid out all the options available to be with honesty and full disclosure. After two weeks of visiting other Hyundai dealerships in the area who promoted falsely “cheaper” prices, I confidently purchased my 2013 Elantra from Knauz at the best possible price and financing option offered by any Hyundai dealership in a 100 mile radius. I fully recommend this dealership for its wonderful representatives, the fantastic prices, and the delicious coffee machine they have in the back room. The best car-buying experience I could have ever hoped for- and the cherry on this cake is the free car wash I get every time I visit the dealership. If you’re looking to buy a car, this is the dealership you MUST visit. And after looking around at what the other dealerships are offering, you’ll definitely be back because Knauz beats its competition by a mile. :) THANK YOU, KNAUZ!

I was in the market for a Genesis 5.0 R-Spec (the first Hyundai in our family, which historically been Honda/Acura/Nissan/Infiniti and recently BMW) and was referred to Chet Nichols and Knauz Hyundai by a co-worker. As described, Chet is very personable and easy to talk to. I did not feel any pressure to buy, though I understood through my own research that the car was desirable - especially considering the price point and I needed to move on it quickly. Additionally, Chet offered up his time to go over key features of the vehicle and set me up with all of the requisite telematic features that Hyundai offers. Lastly, Chet educated me on the facilities and various services offered at Knauz. I recently scheduled an appointment to have some parts installed and a small detail cleaned up. I was able to get a time slot within 30 minutes of the call I made and I was out the door in an hour after arrival. Overall, my first couple of experiences at Knauz were pretty good. Chet and the staff have enabled me to feel confident in my decision to buy from them. Im certain that, assuming the quality of the car holds up, I will be back to purchase another in the future. From the first time that I visited the dealership to see a Santa Fe in person and learn about the vehicle, I felt respected and appreciated, even as a woman walking in alone. They respected my up front statement that I was not ready to buy, but simply wanted more details about the car to narrow down my search for my first SUV. Chester knew that I would not be placing a purchase that first day and still spent time with me, teaching me about the vehicle and allowing me to test drive one without any typical salesperson pressure that I had experienced elsewhere. He didnt bother me with many emails after my visit and allowed me to take my time and made an appointment with my husband a couple of months later when we were ready to allow him to see the vehicle, too. Chester took his time to teach us both more about the vehicle that day and then allowed us to state that we were ready to talk about a purchase without pressure. They were delightful to deal with during the purchase process and worked with us. I am very pleased with my new Santa Fe!!

We would describe our experience with Knauz (we worked with Wade and Jake) as sheer PERFECTION!!!! Our needs were very specific and they did everything necessary to meet those needs. In all our years of buying cars, we have never encountered such friendly, professional, skilled, and personable sales/finance people. Instead of being a stressful and frustrating car-buying experience (as in the past when we purchased elsewhere), this was a relaxed and joyous experience. They sold us exactly what we needed at a price that was affordable to us. And they completed the transaction in a timely manner--going so far as to deliver the car to our home (we have only one driver in the household). In addition, we have used Knauz for service on our other car and we had just as wonderful an experience on that end. If you have the opportunity to choose Knauz for your car-buying and/or service needs, DONT HESITATE to go see them. You wont be disappointed!!!!

Took my wifes 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe sport in to have two rust spots worked on and they fixed the spot after two weeks and then damaged a join panel in two spots and did a terrible job at covering it. They also did not say anything about it to me. I Was already not happy that my wifes vehicle thats is less than two years old developed rust spots inside the back right passenger door panel and underneath then back right brake light. Now I have to deal with this dealership damaging my wifes vehicle that we pay for, that we own. I called the service manager and of course it went to straight to voicemail. Now Im courious to see if the full customer service arm swing upon this review and provide me excellent customer service. Frankly, how can you damage your customers vehicle, cover it up poorly, not tell them about in hopes they wont discover it and then expect them to come back?

After being extremely disappointed by Loren Hyundai, the first dealer I was sent to by the Costco Auto Program, I couldnt have found a better dealer or deal than I did than when I went to Knauz Hyundai. The salesmen, Al Wagener, couldnt have been nicer, more helpful and straight forward with me from the moment I walked in the showroom. He is absolutely the direct opposite of what I have found with the many auto car salesmen Ive dealt with in the past. Every step of the way he explained all the details without any pressure but with resourceful and useful knowledge that assured me I had made the right decision I made about the car and the dealership. Knauz Hyundai is the way dealerships should be run and Al Wagener, sets the standard that most people want when making an automobile purchase. Brought my Hyundai Veracrz in on Monday morning, they were expecting me as I had made an appt....The loaner was ready for me and it did not take long to fill out all the paperwork. I had spoken to Aldo in service the previous week and told him my car was pulling to the right after having 2 alignments done in a 4 week period, and also the speaker for my phone was not working. The alignments were done at another dealer when the tires were rotated. I was not going to try them a 3rd time. Well the car is driving great, and they sent an email to Hyundai as one of their people have to come out and reprogram something in the car. But they did replace the speaker for the phone. All in all I think these people at Knauz Hyundai really know their stuff. I will not be taking this vehicle anywhere else for service as I trust them to do it right the first time.
