Purchased a sectional group 7 weeks back. I informed the store not to deliver until all pieces were available. Haverty’s advertises 5 – 7 weeks delivery. On week 7 I received a delivery not only with no couch but the love seat was the wrong color, wrong piece, and did not have a sleeper. I contacted the store to find out when the rest of the pieces would be available, I was informed it would take at least 3 more weeks. Not a happy customer, I asked to speak to the manager and was informed he was not in. The following day the salesperson who sold me the sectional calls to apologize for the mistake and the couch not being ready. Knowing I am upset, he asks what it would take to make me happy. I said 25% discount would be great, knowing this was a big request and expecting a counter offer. He then say’s he didn’t think management would agree to that and asked if I would accept him removing the $309 delivery fee, which should been free to begin with since I spent over $3000 in their store. I told him that I would accept removing the delivery and a 10% discount of the sale. 5 ½ hours later the manager calls me to inform me that they really want to keep my business and make me happy and then offers to remove the $309 delivery fee plus give me $150 in store credit. I said no, you asked me what it would take to keep my business and I said remove the delivery and a 10% discount on the sale. He then insults me again with an offer of removing the delivery fee and a giving me a $200 in store credit to which I said no. I then requested that maybe they should just come and get the furniture I did receive and forget delivering the rest and give me a full refund. He responds by saying he will remove the delivery charge, give me the $200 in store credit, and extend the 30 guarantee period to 60 days. ANOTHER INSULT! I informed him my request was a fair request. The delivery should have been free to begin with and 10% is in line with a sale price anyway. So I told him to come and get what was delivered and refund the full amount. This sale was over $3200. 10% would have been aroung $320.00. Haverty’s lost my business for $120! He wasn’t too interested in keeping my business was he? I still need to finish this room and another. All in all, I will be spending between $12,000 and $15,000 to finish the two rooms. Unfortunate for Haverty’s, I will not be spending any of that in their store nor in the future will I return

Where to start...first delivery of our couch...came with the wrong pieces (fold out sofa when none ordered) and legs of the couch were differing colors. When the new pieces arrived it looked as though the legs of the couch were haphazardly arranged (some flush with the front of couch and some as much as 3 inches offset under couch) which makes for an awkward look, when you call customer service they can only send out a service call on Thursdays! If you are not available between their hours on Thursday then you cant get service calls to your house! Amazing! Next, we purchased a very pricey memory foam mattress and decided the make and style of mattress wasnt what we wanted and returned to purchase a different brand and style that cost even more. The original mattress came with pillows (as part of a promotion) and the new mattress we purchased also came with pillows but they wouldnt give them to us because we already received two from the company of which we were not satisfied. So they made us keep the pillows from the company we no longer wanted their product and wouldnt give us the ones from the new company because that is policy. If we didnt like the quality of mattress and pillow why would we be forced to keep them because of store policy?

I did not have a good experience with Havertys! I ordered a tall display cabinet on the phone because it was not in the store. At the time of ordering, I was told that if I did not like the piece of furniture then I would receive my money back with NO hassle. Well, the furniture was fine but didnt fit the room. So after 3 weeks and 4 phone calls, Im supposedly going to get my money back in 3 days. So that leaves an entire month since I returned the piece. Clearly that store does not have it together!! I will not be buying any more furniture from them. They dont seem to care about the inconvenience that they have created and I have recieved no phone call or apology from the store. VERY POOR customer service(I am in the customer service industry!)

Unfortunately I didnt have the same experience as the previous reviewers. During delivery and setup, I was informed that some critical parts to the bed frame were missing (half way into the setup). The delivery men as well as the local store were unable to help or provide a new ETA for the missing parts. After several calls, I was told that someone would call me back. No one ever returned my call. I had to call corporate to get this resolved. Overall, I will be without a bed for three more days and forced to take another day off work. In my opinion, the Havertys employees were disorganized, not empowered, and poor communicators.

Best experience ever when buying furniture. I worked with the sales person named Steven. I told him what I was looking for and he showed me exactly what I was describing. When going to other places like Ashley they showed me things I specifically said I did not want. There was no pressure to buy, but we did end up buying. I even told him my wife would be coming in later to check out what I picked out. He greeted her by name and even remembered my daughters name and her age. VERY impressed by this store, the quality of their furniture, and the prices.

Ive purchased a living room set, dining room set, a entertainment center and finally an armoire- 4 separate purchases over 2 years. Always prompt and professional delivery. We had an issue with dining room table (expansion leaf did not fit properly), but Havertys took car of it. One sales person went out of her way to research where the plates/coffee mugs (which were on display in a hutch and not for sale) came from so we could locate and buy for our own home. Im very satisfied with the quality of the furniture as well as the customer service.

Bought a Stearns & Foster mattress last weekend. It was delivered on time today and set up quickly by their delivery team. Sales consultant Stuart H. made the buying process extremely easy and comfortable. He made sure to give us all the information without being pushy and threw in as many freebies he could. I will definitely be going back for more furniture in the future and will recommend this place to anyone. If anyone is on the search for a new firm-ish mattress, be sure to check out the Nighthawk from Stearns & Foster.

The service is very poor. They would not tell all the details of purchase and aftermath, if the purchase price goes down they would not offer you the discount price. All they say is " We have only one option on the corporate computer". they wil not honor you any price reduction after your purchase if the sales price goes down. They come up with all the corporate words to talk you out of it. Trust is the word they dont care about.
