Buyer Beware Buyer Beware Buyer Beware Buyer Beware Buyer Beware Buyer Beware I normally do not post negative reviews but I am going to make an exception with Jeff Schmitt. This is by far the worst customer experience I have ever had with a car dealership. I bought a car that was listed for 19500 on the web for 28000 that was absorbing 5k in debt from another car. Okay, well played my wife and I were there from 5p.m. till 9:30 p.m. I was a little tiered. Supposedly I got a great deal do to all the extra coverage. yadda yadda. Attempted to have a door ding fixed. I was told that it was another company covering that and they would have nothing to do with it. Okay again should have know better. My fault. Next while detailing the car prior to taking possession, the lot boy knocks the rear view mirror off. they reattach it that night. I have the car for 2 days the mirror falls off again. I bring the car in 4 hours out of my time and they attach it again. 3 days latter pulling out of my driveway I adjust the mirror prior to my vacation drive down to VA Beach and the mirror comes off again. I call the service department. I am instructed to bring it in again. I refuse stating they should pick the car up and deliver back to reduce the impact to my time. They refuse. Mirror still is in the back of the car. Next issue 30 day tags are running out on the car that was leased. We have not gotten the tags. I call and ask were the tags are. I am told that they have not submitted for them because they need a copy off my wifes ssn as she is on the lease. I complain stating that this should have been taken care of weeks ago. I have not received a call email text, smoke signal nothing. The individual stated that it was not "her job to inform me" I could not believe the response so I got off the phone with her and called the stealership. Spoke with the manager who asked me to come to the shop vs. their corporate office. He then arranged to have the card taken to the corp office and the plates installed onto the vehicle. This one they almost got right. Had it not been for the horrific customer service to begin with it would have not occurred. Now to the issue currently. The leased car that we were told that they would change the oil for free, I get a bill for $75 for oil change and tire rotation.. Just ridiculous. I have it in my paper work I will now have to go back and fight with them to get my money back. I realize it is a business and they have to make a profit, but do it the right way. If you treat people right and your product is superior, people do not usually mind paying a little extra for it.

After watching gas jump from $2.58 to $2.89 OVERNIGHT, I was fed up. I did my homework, and I decided I was going to get a Nissan Leaf - my first new car purchase since 1998. I visited Jeff Schmitt, and I had the pleasure of meeting Kevin Combs. Great guy, straight-forward, no BS. We jumped in a Nissan Leaf, and he let me drive it as long as I wanted. I was hooked and knew I wanted one. I came back the next day with my wife, we did some negotiations, and Jeff Schmitt gave me a VERY FAIR deal on my 2012 Nissan Leaf. After taking possession of the vehicle, my wife found a half-dollar size dent on the roof of the car directly above the middle of the passenger window. We had purchased the car on Saturday, and I brought it in the following Wednesday. The guys at Jeff Schmitt took care of everything: I was given a very nice loaner vehicle - a 2015 Nissan Versa - for free through Josh, the rental manager at Jeff Schmitt. The work on my vehicle was taken care of for free, and my vehicle was 100% ready in under 48 hours. All I paid for was the gas I used in the loaner vehicle. Guys, I know buying a car can be a very irritating process. We are so used to the stigmas of the sales reps screwing us, overpaying for a lemon, getting less than we think were paying for - it is can be a rough experience. Jeff Schmitt totally turned that tide around. This was a VERY pleasurable experience, and at this rate, I know where Ill be going when I decide to buy another Leaf. Kevin was enthusiastic about what he does, Rick was a very cordial sales manager, and the entire experience was just about as smooth as can be. Now, if I could just rationalize getting a GT-R.... Thanks, Jeff Schmitt Nissan!!! Our paths will cross again I am sure!!

Purchased my cars from Jeff Schmitt Nissan. The Sales team took care of me up to when I drive the car off the lot. However, post-sale, there is a lack of urgency in tying up loose-ends which caused them to lose a star. All loose-ends should be taken cared for. After the sale, the customer should be calling or visiting the dealership for these reasons: Service/maintenance on their vehicle, purchasing parts, purchasing a new/used vehicle, or cancelling their maintenance policy. Be proactive from sale to post sale! Only way to continue to develop relations with your new, current and previous customers is to stay on top of the issues when presented upfront (sometimes in multiple instances). Jeff Schmitts reputation is in the hands of their customers...(reviews, BBB rating, social media, etc.) On another note, the dealership is always clean and fresh. I have always received excellent service from the parts and service department. Whenever my car is in service, they offer to give me a ride to and from my house when needed. Sometimes they loan me a vehicle so that I can drive back to work while the car is in service. Rating (out of 5 stars): Sale - 5 Post Sale: 3.5 Service - 5 Parts - 5 Interior - 5 Exterior - 5 Misc - Courtesy ride/loan car/car wash/gas - 5 UPDATE: the GM at Nissan took care of the issues I presented in the previous post. For this, I appreciate the effort in tying up the loose-ends after the review was posted. Still waiting on the refunds for the two policy cancellation. Please stay proactive and on top of the issues from sale to post sale.
