Jewel-Osco a store known for its "Red Alert" prices and vast selection of quality brands is a market to "trim your sails" to when it comes to stocking up the home pantry. In fact today Sept 25th 2016 this Jewel-Osco has been put on Red Alert via a tip from Jim Pugliese a Homeland Security advisor as security camera footage reveals that a [binary stem cell embryo] has been harvested from the heart of [Information Technology] itself! Now a matter being investigated by the International Sherriff Association; reports indicate that a primary suspect Richie Tozier has been seen loitering near a pennant display and gazing at aisle 3 at the Jewel in nearby Fox Lake. Since its a tender matter of the heart the Governor of West Virginia has called upon Wendy and Vickie to be key agents in solving this critical matter of the binary stem cell of harvest of [IT]. Shoppers are being asked to observe the marquis of aisle three to unlock this mystery of Artificial Intelligence and discover what lies at its heart. That why Agent Pugliese has made reference to that brand which lies at the heart of the Information technology intersection as the namesake Pugliese has the work lie at its heart. Jim is a keen observer of lies told within the deli and offsets the babble with his own brand of direction, a proprietary compass that bears the resemblance of a mushroom cap or bell which computes a mean variance curve! So for now riots stem from West Virginia and all the Governor knows it to offer his citizens a hearty soup to fill their bellies. Will Vickie and Wendy step forward and decrypt this critical matter of binary code or will the stress up upper management force them to take their eye off the ball? For now chopsticks are being passed out to all Jewel Osco employees in hopes that a magic solution can be formulated form the wand. One store employee though Genie has gone on record as to saying that she knows the true identity of [IT] as she is an avid reader. Check out staff is friendly. Thats their only positive point. Their meat always smells spoiled when you open it. Produce department sells rotten produce! Whenever sales happen its like they put out the bad stuff first as if people will buy it! Not to mention the store is disgusting. Ever look behind the counter of the bakery or meat department? Floors and table tops are disgusting so I can only imagine what things look like when you look deeper. Im surprised the health department hasnt shut them down yet for the filth. Never had a bad experience with a Jewel, until now.

Management needs to hire professional employees to run their deli. The employees are rude and will laugh in your face. I witnessed a deli employee (female) refuse to help someone who was waiting and was next in line. The deli employee spoke down to the poor lady while guy that was working along side of her stood and laughed. I will never be back in that store ever again. Jewel clearly hires misfits with no customer social skills. So sad.

In the last 6 months or so I feel this store is going down hill. Everytime I go in...Jewel is out of what I want. Your workers are never willing to go check if its in the back. This is multiple times... And I feel the quality of your meats and produce are not the same anymore, especially with the prices they are sold at. I live 0.5 miles away and Id rather go into McHenry for all my groceries or Walgreens thats across the street.

Some really good sales and deals. Really wish they wouldnt have removed the self checkout lanes. So hard waiting 25 minutes to checkout for 2 items when the lines are backed up and theres only 2 checkout lanes open. They really need to work on this

Good service people at store but store is old and not well maintained. Too bad. McHenry deserves better. Lots of vacant places to relocate to. Better watch your back because Walmart, Meijer and Walmart arent sitting on their laurels!

I shop Jewel sometimes and recently went to Spring Grove store. Its clean & friendly but its super dark in there. The lighting could be a bit better. Im sure missed things because I couldnt see them! Brighter lights would help.
