I wish they didnt get rid of self checkouts. The cashiers are always very friendly but the baggers are always terrible. I purposely put all like items together on the belt and somehow my cereal is always with frozen, my yogurts each find their own bags, I get canned food with vegetables and so on. We go on Saturday mornings and always buy salmon portions at the seafood counter. The same woman is there every saturday and could NOT be more rude. Her level of rudeness pains me to even go up to that counter. If you dont like your job, or are not a morning person, dont be there. No customer wants to feel like theyre being punished for asking for an item. I have always enjoyed the customer service from the cashiers here. I wish I could say the same about the service desk staff. I went up there because I needed to exchange smaller bills for a $50. The b*tch behind the counter was too busy talking to her co-worker about non work related conversation. I waited patiently, and the lady could not have been more rude to me. Gave me THE hardest time about asking for a larger bill. Then after making me feel terrible for even asking, it turns out she had a $50 in the drawer after all. She couldnt hand it to me herself, she made her co worker hand it to me. That sole experience completely changed how I feel about this store.

Honestly this pile of horse manure doesnt even deserve a one star rating. Jewel is a terrible company to work for and this store makes all the circles of Dantes Inferno look like a PG version of Goodnight Moon. If dealing with a racist, bitter old man who craves to be at the center of attention was bad enough, it gets even worse with a psychotic adult who has multiple personalities, communicates with Joan of Arc, fears that every co-worker is a Russian spy, acts like a 3 year old in throwing temper tantrums and stopping his feet and worst of all can tell a fellow co-worker that he wishes his expecting child to be stillborn and no discipline to this nut job is handed out. So do yourself a favor, dont shop at Jewel and most of all dont work for one either. I spent 10 years with this company and all I received in return was a large accumulation of poop on my head. Management plays favorites, the Union does nothing to help you and the majority of people that work their are miserable, all in which makes for a very negative work environment

Being convenient is their best quality. They surely have higher prices (unless on sale, but still need to be careful). They usually have lines as they only have couple of lanes open. Prices sometimes ring up wrong and minimal staff willing to assist. Furthermore they have some bogus red carpet or VIP initiative which is a joke since I have never witnessed that level of service.

VERY rude customer service. Asked for a roll of quarters, and the lady was VERY rude. You dont have to be a b*tch about it...every other grocery store I go to, theyre totally fine about exchanging for quarters or if they dont have any, they NICELY say they dont have quarters. No reason to be that rude about it.

We are satisfied with the Jewel-Osco in Woodstock They have a good selection of everything. The prices are good. There are a few things a little high but for the most part are good. Most of the time shelved are full. Clerks are friendly and helpful

This is probably the best place to grocery shop in woodstock. There arent many options but jewel has the biggest selection, and when it is on sale it is typically cheaper than Walmart.

The meat department sells stew meat and priced it as taco meat what a crap, taste horrible dont know strip steak either. If you dont know about beef or pork you shouldnt work there.
