Ive had three great experiences with Walker in the last five years. 2008 I bought a new Jeep Wrangler there, I saw the ad in the paper (great deal) and assumed that once I got in, they would upsell and tell me that one wasnt available anymore. Didnt happen, I got a fantastic deal on a brand new Wrangler, just as advertised! In 2010 I bought a new Liberty Renegade there, they didnt have the color combination I wanted in stock, so they went 180 miles or so to get the one I wanted. I should mention that I get supplier pricing through my work so the negotiation process is typically limited to the value for the trade that I have and in both of the circumstances above, I did not have a trade. And finally, within the last month, I bought a 2014 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. Again they didnt have the color combination I wanted on the lot, so they drove down to Louisville and got the exact one for me. With the most recent purchase I will say they did a terrific job of catering to me, the annoying, persistent, I want to make sure Im making the right choice car buyer. I test drove every model with every available engine/transmission options. Not once did I feel pressure to move along with the sale and this process of selecting the right one went on for about a month and a half. In fact the Sales Manager told me flat out, "I want you to be happy with your purchase and I dont want you to rush into something, just to get something." Awesome! I dont know how many other dealers would say that. The negotiation for the trade went smoothly and I got what I wanted for one and what I expected for the other. I traded in both of the above vehicles. Im pretty sure they use the Autotrader Marketplace for the benchmark for trades. Overall, I would recommend this dealer to anyone looking for either a new Jeep (or Chrysler, Dodge, Ram) or a quality used vehicle. Im pretty sure the same people there sell both, so there isnt any real confusion. I truly feel like they went out of their way for me and cant help but feel that it isnt the exception but rather how they normally do business. Update 10/17/2015: I just wanted to share an experience that Ive had with Walker Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram recently that has caused my review to drop from 5 to 2 stars. I recently traded the vehicle I bought from them in January of 2014 (to a different dealer), with 3 years left on the extended warranty I brought all the paperwork to the dealer to ask them to cancel and refund the prorated amount for the extended warranty. Ive done this before and usually have no issues, but I guess since I didnt buy my new vehicle from them Im now treated with disregard. The finance person I talked to said it would be 30 to 45 days before I would receive any refund (I get it, this is coming out of their pocket, but it doesnt have to take that long, but I get it). It has now been 46 days and Ive heard nothing. I shouldnt have to chase this money around from them nor should I have had to wait so long to begin with. So long story short, I probably would no longer consider them for a purchase, but definitely would never recommend purchasing an extended warranty or any other coverage from them, so buy a vehicle from them if you wish, but when they ask, emphatically deny the extended coverage!!! Is really too bad, Ive always had a good experience in the past and this has been pretty disappointing... Update (11/15/2015): Shortly after writing the disappointment above we received a check in the mail for one of the warranty refunds. We had purchased two different extended warranty products, the full coverage warranty and a separate tire and wheel warranty. And while Im happy that they do in fact listen to their online audience am still waiting for the other refund. I did bump them to three stars in the meantime, so we shall see. Ive tried contacting their finance department to no avail, so hopefully an update to this post will perhaps trigger another response...?

About the only positive thing I can say about this dealership is that they dont give up. About 3 years ago we let them talk us into leasing a Patriot. Last year they sent a "fishing" email suggesting that they wanted to buy it back as they had low used vehicle inventories. The person on the phone sounded very sincere and wanted to earn our business. My wife and I came in, wasted literally 2 hours of our evening. They kept giving us ridiculous "offers" that involved us paying them thousands of dollars in future payments left on our lease. I was very upset as our time is valuable, and they are the ones who approached us wanting to buy out the lease! Fast forward to 3 weeks ago. They send us multiple emails, and a letter stating that they had a "potential buyer" for our vehicle and that they were willing to pay more than the jeep is worth and really wanted to get our jeep! Against my judgement, I took the bait. I responded and next thing I know I have half a dozen salespeople leaving me emails, few phones calls, etc. They wanted me to bring it in for an appraisal. I told them from the get go, "Unless buying out my lease 100% of what I owe is an option, I am not interested in coming in again and wasting 2 hours of my time." So I came in today to hear them out. After figuring out a vehicle that my wife might like to drive, they offered me "more than my Jeep was worth" and still had me owing $1100 of leftover payments that would be tacked onto the new Jeep... I am not sure what part of "if you dont intend on buying out my lease 100% of what I owe, dont waste my time" is so hard to comprehend. Why would a sensible person pay $1100 in remaining payments on top of a new car?? Why wouldnt I just....I dunno...make the last 3 payments and then buy a new car? If Im paying the "penalty" regardless I may as well utilize the remaining 3 months on our lease. What motivation do I have to turn in our vehicle early? They are the ones contacting me saying they want it! LOL....I dont get it. But it is very aggravating. So in the end, maybe Im just a sucker. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt. Just be aware that if you go in there due to "fishing" emails or phone calls, youre probably going to be let down.

I have to disagree with Capt. Sparkie. I just bought out my Pontiac G6 lease specifically at Walkers because of the fact that they offer a Warranty Forever. Let me explain why I feel its great! First, my salesman explained to me that other dealerships will try to take away the value of the warranty by saying things just like the Capt. here in the way that he says "if you follow a costly maintenance program" (If he listened in, the "costly maintenance program" is only the stuff in the back of the manual like oil changes or transmission flushes things you normally have to do to keep you manufacturers warranty anyway!) Now, his next point is the "True Dealer Seling product only" Is there something wrong with someone offering something as a competitive advantage?! My last point is this. After researching where to buy out my lease, Walkers was the only one that had this advantage! when I left the first time my salesman told me EVERYTHING I needed to know about what other dealerships would say that would take away the value of this awsome warranty...and it sounds to me like the Capt. might just work at another dealership, since the people I talked to in the waiting area for service all said they loved the warranty too! You can go out as far as 7450 miles between oil changes I mean REALLY?! for me thats 1 oil change a year. Im pretty sure my maintenance costs wont be all that high, especially when after 160,000 miles my engine or transmission fails and they put another one in at no cost for parts labor or deductible. Which all this is laid out on all...what is it?...5 or 6 forms or pamphlets I left with (which they also tell you, you dont have to go there to get your work done just call the # on the form to go somewhere else!). My bottom line is, Walkers is a great place to buy a new/used car and they have a sweet warranty. Everybody was very friendly and courteous and I also get my car washed for free whenever I want. Do yourself a favor and check em out! Im glad I did
