I have a bichon frise mix and shes about 10 years old. We take her to the groomers every 6-8 weeks and we used to go to Petsmart but since this place was close we went there. They called saying her eye was red. I responded with "well shes a mix, so one eye has black around it and the other has pink. Its always been that way?" So she asked if she should keep going and I said yeah I guess so cuz she didnt seem to stress any concern about it. I pick her up and I noticed her eyes were a little puffy but I thought she was just stressed from a new groomer or whatever. Within 20 minutes of being home though, her eyes started to swell up and eventually become swollen shut within 45 minutes. So after an emergency vet call they said she had a "full body allergic reaction". Which has NEVER happened before. I had to put and ointment IN and around her eyes 3 times a day and ear drops twice a day and bath her in a special solution to make sure whatever was on her was gone. Her eyes were swollen shut for 2 DAYS and by the third she finally started walking around again becuase she could prticaly open them. I DO NOT recommend them for their Grooming at all! Petsmart is cheaper also and this never happened there in the 7 years Ive taken her there.

Took my son to buy fish we looked around at the fish for about 15 minutes nobody helped us which was fine at first because we were looking at the fish. Once we had decided what we wanted we stood there for another 10 minutes with nobody helping us the employee that I saw just kept looking at us and then turning the other way. As I left I told him he may want to let the manager know that they need better training and he just lost the company roughly $100 in sales and he laughed it off as I left. Still didnt even offer to help me with the fish. Will not recommend this place or go there for any future purchases. (Good thing there are at least 3-4 other pet stores in Elyria.)

Ashley in the Grooming salon was incredible! My dog, being a rescue and previously abused, is very anxious around other people. Ashley was very calm and patient around him. He bonded with her and I know that I can bring him in to see her next time with no issues. I highly recommend the Elyria Petco for all your pets grooming needs.

Omg I love this petco!its so nice and updated! The love-a-stray cat cages are so beautiful and are open so you can look in them. Charlie (my rescued golden retriever) absolutely loves this store! He loves the tennis ball selection here. This is definitely my favorite petco!

Friendly associates took kids to look no pressure occasionally checked if we need anything ....animals good health all in all not bad did not purchase reason my rating lower
