This was my familys first trip to IKEA. I was originally hesitant on shopping here because we could not reach customer service when I called the store- I had some questions about a few things before I took the family on the hour long trip- Called 2 times and was put on hold for 30 minutes each time so I hung up and reconsidered talking the ride. But... We needed a couch really bad and since weve never been to IKEA we decided to go without getting our questions answered. We were very happy we decided to throw caution to the wind and just take the trip. The store was awesome, the food was great and every employee my family encountered was helpful and kind. We were there until closing and just as we walked out the door I realized I couldnt find my keys- The store was basically closed but I was allowed to go back through and look for them, which is like a "needle in a haystack" mission in the first place. I was guided back through and every employee we ran into along the way helped me search, only to find out about 10 minutes in to looking that my son had them. Kind of embarrassing for me, but I thought it was really cool they took the time at the end of their long day to help me out and didnt make me feel stupid about it. Im hooked. There was lots and lots of cool and interesting stuff at really affordable prices. We were really happy with the prices of the stuff we purchased and it all looks so good. Great place and will be visiting again. I hate to do it, but Im leaving one star off because we could not reach customer service by phone... To be honest, I find it hard to believe with how well the store is run and how friendly and helpful everyone was, that there wasnt better phone support.

One of the worst experiences Ive ever had in at a retail store. Upon checkout the cashier refused to move any items. It took the cashier twenty minute to ring my purchase because he refuse to help or move any boxes. When I asked a two nearby workers for help the gentleman came out from behind the counter and stared me down and asked me "why i had to say that", before i had a chance to answer one of the two teen who had come over claimed to be a manager and asked me "why are you talking to my employees like that". They refused to give me anyones name or the store phone number. After another 20 minutes the credit payment was finally approved and the girl claiming to be a manager stood in front of me and blocked my path refusing to allow me to leave the store until I presented her with my drivers license. At this point I asked the only gentleman present over the age of twenty to clear my path and give me the store phone number or i would call 911 (which the so call manager had exclaimed she had already called several times despite all other store employees assuring me that no police were on their way). I was promptly allowed to leave still without any full names or a store phone number. The only reason I didnt stay to pursue a manager was because we were already late to pick up a 5 year old from after school care. This is a prime example of a store front end failure. Ive heard IKEA is an excellent company when it comes to customer service and all the products purchased where in excellent working order, however I would never come back to this establishment again and highly recommend anyone else avoid it completely.

Ive been a loyal IKEA customer since college days over 10 years ago but this location has the worst customer service Ive ever encountered. I bought a crib mattress for my son several months ago before he was born. Now he is here and I realized the mattress is flimsy and of poor quality. We love the crib itself though, which we also bought here. We lugged the mattress back to the store where they made us feel horrible for bringing in an item made in 2014 which we bought in 2015. The manager reluctantly gave us half price (on store credit) saying these are not produced anymore and will only be thrown in the trash. After this encounter, we walked around and saw the exact same mattress being sold in the store! Do not trust the employees or managers here and please be sure of your purchase before taking it home because returns are a huge headache and nearly impossible.

This has been the worst experience ever. The only reason I gave 1 star was bc within the last 3 weeks I have spent over 1,200 dollars and every time I dealt with his store it has been horrible. I went into the store to oder a dresser and bed frame and the employees were rude and ignorant. I had to call customer service to get them to fix the issue. I than went back and ordered my items and after the bed and dresser got delivered the dresser was defective and I couldnt put it together. They act like it was nothing they could do and took for ever for me to get a new dresser ( ie. I still havent received the dresser). I then went back and to order a sofa. That is the only thing that went right, however the delivery was late. At this point I am over IKEA and do not want to deal with them again.

ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE ..... Products are really great but when the customer service is bad, it does not add any value. I purchased an item and some parts that are needed to fix the product are missing. When i call the customer service, after being transferred to different departments a 1000 times for 2 hours on the phone, they tell me that they cannot order the missing parts and go to the store with the item and return it to get a new one. i was against it and they created a case number stating that some one would reach out to me in 2 days and nothing happened for a week. i had to call them back !!!!!!!!!! even if i had to go to the store and get a new item and some part is missing again in the next one that i get ???? Make trips to the store again????

Very good service in Conshohocken Return Exchange desk. In and out quickly with pleasant worker. Cant say the same for the Philadelphia location: only one worker at the desk and had wait almost 40 minutes until I asked for the manager. Manager didnt come but two additional workers came out but only one of them waited on customers. The other worker kept going in and out of drawers and writing something. Then the initial worker kept leaving to bring food and drink for herself while she waited on customers. Made things move a little faster, but you shouldnt have to demand good service. It should be common. It should not take over an hour just to return window shades during the morning on a weekday.

One thing you can count on at IKEA: Without fail, at least one critical item always is out-of-stock or, my favorite, restricted on "sales hold." IKEA is discontinuing its kitchens, according to a manager dressed as an elf. But that information is not shared anywhere apparent and only is revealed after a long examination of the many displays and then an encounter with the salesmans computer. Nothing available. Ever. Four years since my last miserable visit, This will be the last ever. (And I dont much care being treated like a customer-rat funneled along a path in hopes that I will make an impulse buy. I escaped the maze through an emergency exit. Strangely enough, the alarm never sounded.)
