Rating is for service dept only. Basically, they dont know how to do a basic oil change on their own brand of motorcycles, so why trust them with anything more? I dropped my cbr250 off with them months ago for a service check after it was stolen and recovered in good shape. It was near-due for service check anyways, so I wanted a once-over done to make sure everything was in good working order after recovery. When I go back to pick it up, they said the oil level was low, so they did an oil change as well. I was the last person to change the oil on my bike, and I know I did it right (center bike to check oil levels; dont check it while leaning on kick-stand... per the owners manual; replaced fuel filter, crush washer, the whole nine-yards.). Im a 40yo guy, been riding for 10 years as my main mode of transportation, and have changed the oil on bikes per owners manuals for just as long. So, them saying I had low oil baffled me. I never saw oil under the bike after my oil change, and the exhaust was never white/black to signify burning oil. When the cops got my bike back, I never saw any oil under the bike, engine looked clean and there was no black/white smoke emitting from exhaust either. So, where did the oil magically disappear to when they said my levels were low? Anyways, I was just glad to get my bike back, and got on with life. A few months later, Ive got another 1000 miles on the bike and decide to change the oil myself. I havent checked the oil level since they worked on the bike, b/c I figured theyre a Honda Powersports dealer and service center ... they should know how to work on Honda motorcycles and can be trusted to have done a good job. I lean down to check the oil window... and the oil is already hitting the max mark while PROPPED ON THE KICKSTAND. I lift the bike up to center it to check the oil properly... and the oil window completely fills up. So, this explains why they thought my oil level was low; some genius in the service dept doesnt know youre supposed to level the bike when checking the oil, and just looked at it while it was leaning on kick-stand. The oil drains away from oil window when propped on kickstand, and thus if you read it from just on the kick stand it seems low. This genius used this oil-checking method to both determine my bike was low on oil in the first place (when it wasnt) and to determine if the bike had enough oil when refilling it ... which means he OVERFILLED the f***ing oil. If you dont know how to properly do a basic, routine thing like how to properly check the oil levels on your own g** d*** brand of bikes... then I cant recommend you at all.. It brings to question the reliability of all the other work the service dept does. At least I can SEE the oil window and quickly see they screwed up. But, what about engine work, where they should be torqueing bolts down to specifications in the service manual, use proper parts (eg: crush washers and such), do other intricate things that require precise measurement and FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS IN OWNERS AND SERVICE MANUALS? If you cant even do a simple oil change properly, then its hard to trust you with more drastic work. This makes me question the quality of the rest of the service check they did. A service check that cost me a few hundred dollars... to get improper work done... b/c they thought it needed to be done ... b/c of their incompetence. I cant recommend anyone working on anybodys bike when they show this level of incompetence. Thus, regardless of how friendly the service dept was, Im giving them a 1 star rating. This is unacceptable.

I purchased a street glide from DFW Honda back in March ’14. There was an advertising issue that was not correct. After talking to three different people I was sent a check that compensated me for the option that was not on the bike. Later, a fork tube stated leaking or had been leaking. Needless to say, I was not happy. Turns out the bike had the front-end replaced by some hack. The replacement front-end I believe was a salvaged unit. The replacement mag wheel came off a bike that had ABS and was not compatible with mine. The mag was installed anyway. One of the two wheel bearing is larger for ABS. The tire had dry rot and the very top fork tube seals did not seal. The Bike was DANEROUS to ride really! The front tire due to off- set tracked wrong and the suspension was junk. I am not a professional motorcycle inspector and the bike looked fine when I purchased it. I knew the bike had been procured from a local bike auction. The bike was a HD repo. Bottom line, I was not sure what DFW Honda was going to do if anything. I had the bike 4 months and 1200 miles it had been setting in my garage for a couple of months. Now, I was very pissed off. I spent $20K for a defective bike. The owner contacted me via phone. A couple of days later drove from Grapevine Texas to Huntsville Texas where the bike was in the shop. David the Honda guy realized his team dropped the ball on this one. He apologized for my inconvenience paid for the repairs and bought me a driver back rest and a back tire for my trip to the Dragons Tail this Fall. We where both glad no one got hurt. Rick N.

Everyone was great, from minute I walked up to the building to the minute I walked out with the keys. I dont know a lot about motorcycles, but I went to the dealership knowing what model I wanted. The salesperson, Darrell (who is amazing at his job), listened to what I liked about a certain model and showed me other models with similar attributes. He walked me through the pros and cons of each bike from aesthetics to mechanics to basic finances. He listened to what I wanted and had a conversation about what bike would fit me best. There was no pressure to buy the newest or the most expensive. Darrell was great about making sure we found the bike that fit me, not his sales needs. From there, the financial officers listened to my financial requirements and we reached a very agreeable deal for an amazing bike. After the papers were signed, Darrell walked me through the bike, basic care instructions, showed me where everything was and how it functioned, how to open the storage compartment, etc. He also gave me his contact information and made sure I knew I could contact him any time with any questions or concerns. Overall, everyone here was accommodating, kind, and made me feel like they were invested in selling me a bike Id like, not just making the best sale they could.

The overall experience was incredible. I originally was in the market for a used CBR600RR since I had sold my 2007 around 5 years ago. What started out as looking at used bikes turned into just joking and bsn about riding and everything we were into (hobbies, etc). Ive got to drop names, but my salesman Payton was by far way more than a salesman. In fact, it felt like I was buying a bike from a friend who happened to work at a dealership than an actual dealer. After days of looking around, stopping by DFW Honda and looking elsewhere, he was more concerned about me finding the right bike for ME rather than trying to just make a sale. Ultimately, I decided not to go with the 600, but instead got a new 2015 CBR1000RR. This just goes to show how committed they are to what they do. Completely happy with the purchase, and the best thing is Id go grab a beer with them after I hand over $$$. Again! Ask for Payton. The other reviews on here about the no freight charges and handling fees are correct. I was impressed with everything. Lol, and this isn’t a paid review. You can email me and ask me personally.
