Late 2006, I purchased a scooter from Moxie scooters. It was a horrible mistake. At first, everything was fine. The scooter ran well, and they seemed nice and professional. However, the problems arose when the scooter needed to be serviced. I live across the Metroplex from their store in Colleyville, so it isnt very easy for them to pick up and return my scooter, but that is still their policy to do so. They could limit their service area, or change their policy, but instead they made it quite clear that it was a hassle to live up to their promise to service my scooter. Phone calls would go unanswered, and they simply refused to return the scooter to me at one point. When pressed about why they missed 3 appointments in a row to return the scooter, they were flippant and unconcerned. One time, in fact, I called their shop and they hit the wrong button. They had tried to disconnect and avoid me instead of answering the phone, but they actually turned their speaker phone on by mistake. I heard them in the background say that "...yeah, I told him Id return it last Wednesday, but, ya know...heh heh heh...". My wife called a couple of days later after another missed appointment and asked "What happened? I thought we had an appointment?" Their response? "Yeah, we did..." And that was it. If you want a scooter, stick with Yamaha or Honda. Or, check out the Vespa dealership on Greenville Ave. in Dallas. They all seem to actually care about their customers. If you buy from Moxie, you really are taking a chance. They offer horrible service and horrible attitudes. If they work on your scooter, you may not ever get it back. Stay away!

My husband and I used to be Yamaha FZ-6 motorcycle riders, sold them a year ago due to fear of distracted drivers on the main roads. Its gotten bad. We really miss riding, though, so I suggested getting a scooter we could share to run a quick errand, hit the store for a missing ingredient, run to the post office, etc. I visited Moxie Scooters in Colleyville and could not have had a more pleasant experience! I visited on a Saturday, everyone I met was warm and friendly. John is the owner, and he worked his tail off in the heat prepping several different scooters for me to test ride. I narrowed it down to two scooters. Returned three days later with my husband so he could check them out and pick one. We ended up spying a different scooter -- a Kymco Compagno 110i that turned out to be perfect for us! Great power for local riding and quick acceleration if needed, awesome features, the ignition key system is flat out brilliant. So we bought it and they delivered it to our home in north Irving the following morning. Ive been in some variation of retail for most of my life, and I want to say that this was an old-school, friendly-neighborhood-scooter-shop pleasant experience! Kudos to John, Walter, Juan, Robert, and Sheila! (hope I didnt miss anyone!) Thanks for making me feel welcome and for your hospitality! It was a pleasure doing business with you!

Yeah, theyre nice but horribly irresponsible. I was told by John repeatedly that I would get a discount on the scooter I was buying, only for Brandon to utterly disregard it, even after I asked John in front of him. Then, it took them three months to put in the paperwork to get my licence plate. Their excuse? "Oh sorry were really bad at paperwork" (Its true, their office is a total mess) Id go somewhere a little more responsible if you actually plan to drive your scooter anywhere. As it is, mine has been in my garage for a month due to expired tags, and its my primary transportation. Dont waste your time on them. EDIT: John sent me a check for the difference in price from what I was promised, but I am merely editing, not deleting the review because what they did regarding my license plate still wasnt right. Though to add a positive note, when one of my mirrors came loose at the pivot area, they replaced it with another mirror, since the mirror was just faulty from the inside.

Utterly irresponsible. First the mechanic and Brandon said they could swap out a part while I waited. I wasnt sure I wanted to drive 60 miles in one day, so I left it to pick up the next morning. The next day they said the mechanic couldnt get it fixed until a half-hour before closing. I couldnt pick it up on the schedule. Four days after I dropped it off, zero work had been done even though it took a half hour for a different mechanic to swap the part. Now the scooters top speed has dropped by 10mph. The mechanic clarified that any repairs work will be passed over in favor of new sales. I strongly recommend against counting on this shop for any maintenance or repairs. I, personally, would not buy from a place that I knew wouldnt do the after-sale care.

I bought a 2010 Sym model Symba. I bought it for my wife as it is 101cc and is like a motorcycle instead of a scooter. You shift gears....auto clutch...has a foot brake for the rear, right hand brake for the front, electric and kick starter just in case the battery goes low. It only holds 1 gallon of regular but that is good for 100 miles. I decided to ride it a little and break it in for her. Amazing, I weigh 250 lbs and it will go an easy 55 mph with me on it. Ive hit 62 mph down hill. Always there up or down with 45 mph. Had a problem with the light....Moxie fixed it....that is all and its been two years and we are going strong. Nice bunch there but John Romandi is a great guy. Thank you Moxie. My next bike will come from you......

My husband and I bought our first scooters there this mothers day! John and Brandon were both very nice, John was extremely knoweledgeable about all the scooters he carries and made the purchase easy. I ordered a color that was backordered by the manufacturer and he checked regularly on the status of my order. When I went to pick it up, I didnt have tie downs and he loaned me a pair from his shop without question. I love my scooter and really had great customer service at Moxie. I recommend them to anyone looking to enjoy a gas saving, fun scooter!!

I just left Moxie with my new 125 Buddy and I couldnt be happier! John and his team are super friendly and knowledgeable! John himself led me on a ride around the neighborhood so I could get a feel for the 125 and answered all of my questions with well informed answers!. Ill definitely recommend them to anyone and will be back whem Im ready to shop again!

I went in to get the oil changed for my mothers scooter, and asked if I could watch them change the oil, and they did, so now I can change it on my own. The mechanic was very knowledgeable and seemed like a pretty nice guy. If you have a scooter and was to not pay dealership prices for maintenance, go here.

If I could leave 10 stars, I would! I recently purchased a scooter with them and felt compelled to share my review. They gave me a great deal and the customer service was impeccable! The owner was so personable and extremely helpful! I cant wait to do more business with them in the future! :)
