This is my first time having a pet, so when i walked into petco I had no idea about what i needed or what i needed to get. We walked in woth our little puppy and a trainer came to greet us saying it was probably not best to have her on the ground since not all dogs are vaccinated properly. she took us around and gave us advice on potty training, sleep training, beds, grooming and every other topic possible. i think she helped us for about an hour. we gained a lot of information and then she topped it off by giving our puppy a treat. grooming! i have been to petco a couple of times and didnt want to make my review without proper experience. I have noticed that my shih tzu/poodle has veey smelly ears and I am very particular about her nails being cut short and to the end of the wick. the only one that really does the job as well as i would like Kourtney. The first couple of times it only took about 2 hours and when i got my Nana back her nails were mediocre and her ears smelled horribly. Since i dont know much about puppies i thought it was nanas fault and bought some products for cutting her nails and ears. But after accidentally cutting her wick once, i couldnt do it again. By chance i scheduled her haircut on a day Kourtney worked. She took twice as long but when i got nana back she was PERFECT. her fur was soft and smelled great for several days. her ears were fine, every one of her nails were filed down perfectly and her lefs and paws were cut beautifully. it was such a different experience than before that now i only go when Kourtney works. definitely recommend her.

Went in to buy a ferret after buying another one from another store. They treated us like we couldnt afford the ferret, once notice we had two already acted different with us. Didnt provide us with ferrets information and when I asked they said they didnt give anything. Once I showed them the other Petcos papers and asked to speak to a manager, then they found them. Have been calling for two days and the phone just rings. Another Petco emailed them for me and they didnt answer her either. I am going to have to drive 30 minutes and miss my Vets appointment due to their lack of customer service.

With the summer time rush we needed a grooming for our Shitzu Smokey usually he goes to Victoria, but they were so booked we had to take him to an alternate groomer. But Victoria was able to gimme a call when a cancellation came up. Despite that we rushed him to some one else, I dont think we will go back to the alternate groomer cause after the fact our dog got sick. They do a great job here and Im comfortable leaving our dog there for pampering. Great staff

Eric from the pet hotel was really awesome! Our cat was throwing up and had blocked airway, we took a lyft to banfield in the same building. Banfield told we us had to go 9 blocks to the vet with oxygen. We started hobbling as fast as we could and luckily Eric was taking his break and was kind enough to drive us the 20 or so blocks as the cat started to give up to respiratory failure. thank you Eric! She doing much better already!

This is an amazing store with an amazing team of pet stylists. They do not have a dog hotel, so Im not sure how something that doesnt exist can be so horrible, but hey, whatever! I definitely recommend shopping here. The staff is amazing and helpful, and all genuinely care about animals!

Sign up for the free rewards program to save money and earn reward dollars on future purchases. They have a huge selection of toys and treats, but most of the canned food is cheaper online. They also have adoption events (check the website for when the next one is).

A Private User

They have signs all over the store promising that they will match any price. I asked them to match the price on their own Petco website for a product and they refused. I took my money to a local pet store and for the same price found a much superior quality product.

Not my first choice for a big box retail store. Hit or miss customer service to "Could use improvement." Items are obviously over priced. Youre better off finding the items your self if you get confused or lost. Would and would not recommend.

The grooming service was ok. But the groomer was extremely rude and out of line. She was complaining that my dog "barked" to much and that we should considure getting dog classes for him there at petco because their trainers Will get that down.

Great store. Its smaller than some Petcos but still has a great selection. The staff are always willing to help and are very knowledgeable! Plus they have better and more natural brands for healthier options for my pets than other pet stores.

HUGE store, so I cant imagine there would be many pet-related items you would want that you couldnt find here. However, they dont seem to be adequately staffed, and so be prepared to wait a ridiculously long time to check out.

Rude groomers n rude management... pet smart is much much better than Petco though petsmart grooming is overpriced but its worth it.. my experience with groomers n management in Petco has been worse

I have never had a problem here, people are friendly and welcoming. They always have treats for my two dogs plus they are respectful to my dogs allergies to wheat and grain. Love this place
