Went to Giant in Danville tonight. Wanted to get gas for the truck. Dont usually go this late (10:15 pm) but the light was on at the pumps....drove up and the sign on one pump said it was not in service....drove up to the booth to ask if they were closed (figured they were, but thought it might just be that pump) and quickly beeped my horn to get the attendants attention....with that he didnt even look up but dismissively waved his hand up for me to go away. Now I dont have a problem with the hours. What I do have a problem with is the dismissive way I was treated. It was rude to say the least. All he had to do was look up and say closed. The bus drivers, cleaning people, transporters, aides, nurses and physicians at Geisinger would NEVER treat you like that. 99% of our grocery shopping is done at the Danvelle Giant. As far as Im concerned we can go to Weis. My wife prefers Giant, so I guess thats where shell go. This reflects, as far as Im concerned, on how Giant views their customers by virtue of the poor way customers are treated by their staff.

While the produce is much better than our local Weis, the meat and deli departments leave a lot to be desired. I dont shop here anymore because I would always have to return something from meat or deli for being spoiled when I opened it.

Its open for 24/7.They have a huge selection of variety goods. My most favorite thing to find in this particular store is seasonal fruit.You can find ripe papaya, whole green coconut etc. The staff are real nice.

I mean, its your typical grocery store. It could have a wider selection, but theyve got just about everything you could need. I like that you can recycle your plastic bags here.
