One of the WORST customer experiences of my life!! Do NOT take your car for service here. They do NOT care about taking care of the client and will NOT go the extra mile for you. They also will NOT honor Hondacare warranties (at least not mine). Please read to learn of my experience. I bought a used 2002 Accord about 5 years ago in Sacramento. It came with a Hondacare warranty that is valid through 3/2011. This Hondacare warranty is evidenced by: 1) the original Hondacare warranty signed by original owner and a Honda rep - detailing valid dates through 3/2011 or 100,000 miles. 2) the transfer paperwork signed by that owner/me/and a Honda rep stating the warranty was properly transferred 3) multiple service sheets from the Sacramento Honda dealer showing the Hondacare warranty is good through 3/2011 (including one instance where the warranty was actually used). So I brought my car to Walnut Creek Honda this week to service a broken rear door handle. The staff was incredibly friendly and it was shaping up to be a very positive experience. Before I left, they told me they could not locate my Hondacare warranty. I figured there was a glitch or mismatch in their computer system, so I told them I would produce the paperwork (detailed above) before pickup. I faxed my paperwork into Walnut Creek Honda this afternoon, several hours before coming in to pick up my vehicle. I was told they found my Hondacare warranty, but it expired a year ago. I showed them (again) the papers I faxed in that evidence the Hondacare warranty. Keep in mind this includes the ORIGINAL Hondacare warranty agreement which clearly states valid dates of the warranty. Still they refused to honor the agreement. The service rep (who did a pretty good job managing my repair overall) went to get the Service Director, Dave Trzesniewski. Dave looked at the paperwork and sternly refused to honor the warranty, saying it was expired. He looked at the paperwork and coldly said, "I understand why you are upset, because you have paperwork that says your warranty is still valid. But my paperwork says its not, and if I honor the agreement, I wont get paid for the work." Dave actually seemed very indifferent about my ordeal. He only seemed to care about his paperwork that said the warranty was expired and made no concrete offers to help resolve the issue. I argued with him and again asked him to interpret my original paperwork that documents valid warranty dates through 03/2011, but he just didnt care. He just felt it wasnt his problem. My blood pressure was rising and my 3 year old daughter was there with me, so finally I just told him that I would not get any more contentious than this in front of her. I paid for it myself and left. Does not the Honda dealer have a direct relationship with Honda? Should not they be the ones to spend the time and energy to resolve this and find a way to honor it? Apparently NOT at Walnut Creek Honda and NOT with Dave T. I am preparing to post scanned images (with names/addresses blurred but VIN number readable) online in the coming days to document this case so the public can see how Walnut Creek Honda handles their clients. I will also inquire about legal recourse for the repair fees. The bottom line is - go to an independent you can trust. Not some "Honda" repair shop that doesnt honor the warranty with their name on it.

We were planing to lease a Honda CR-V three years ago and went to the Dublin Honda dealership since we live in Dublin but had the worst experience there. Then one of our friend recommended the Walnut Creek dealership and we went in there expecting nothing much in terms of customer service after out Dublin experience but we were pleasantly surprised! Zack Osteen is the guy you need to go see at this dealership if you want to get the best service from start to finish and the best and most pleasant car buying experience. He not only was very polite and courteous but was very mindful of our needs understood our requirements and budget and did not try to push random stuff on us that we did not need like most dealerships do. He made our leasing experience great and stress free and got us the right car to fit our needs! So naturally when our lease was up and we decided to buy the 2017 crv we went back to him and yet again he surprised us with his service quality and standards! We had called ahead for a specific color car which was in short supply because of high demand and we reached the dealership a little bit late and by the time that car was sold and when he told us that we were almost decided to walk out of there and try something else but he was calm and presented us with alternate optins and choices and in the end the dealership managerd to get the exact same color model that we wanted from another dealership and we were able to get the paperwork completed the same day and get the car in two days! A very smooth and effortless transaction and zack goes above and beyond in his service! He answered any questions that we had without being judgemental or rude gave us a great walk through of the new car explained us all the features and made sure we had everything taken care of! He also helped us with returning our leased vehicle and even made follow up calls couple of days after the purchase. Definitely the best car buying experience I had and I will defiantly recommend zack to anyone who wants to buy a Honda! Excellent service and very polite and courteous people at this dealership make it a very stress free car buying experience! Thank you Walnut Creek Honda and especially zack for the outstanding service!

I love Hondas. I recently hit highway water at 80 mph, spun three times then dropped 12 ft and slid sideways into a mountain before coming to a halt in a ditch. I was driving a 2015 Civic. My husband and I walked away with only moderate lacerations from side air bags! The car was totaled. I wanted to buy the same type of Civic. I did a national search on Hondas North American website. I wanted a Civic with a navigation. They are uncommon on Civics. I considered buying a 2014 CRV thinking more expensive models might be more likely to have NAVS. I found 4. Walnut Creek Honda had exactly the CRV I wanted, so I drove my rental car 90 miles to test drive it. The sales person was informative and helpful, absolutely no pressure. She was very patient as we explored sedans vs CRVs and what was the best one to buy. Believe me I asked one million questions. I ended up buying the CRV. I drove it home that night! We, naturally bartered a bit, and the end result was a great car at a price I could afford. I went home and read every document thoroughly. I found NO bate and switch, something Stockton CA Honda did when I bought my civic. The bargaining was respectful and didnt take hours playing games. After reading the complete 184 checks on the Honda pre-owned certified vehicles, I had some issues I needed resolved. I called them today and was completely satisfied with the resolution. My CRV is great; Ive always wanted one and this dealership was my best Hona experience.
