It was a very non-traditional buying experience. You get handed some sheets with what cars they have on the lot and they let you explore with out bugging you. They have a certain method that they explain to you when you first show up. They also sell some "value cars" which are cars that have basically been in some sort of accident and then repaired. They are very upfront about this. They said about 30% of there business is selling these value cars. They do tell you how to differ which ones are value cars and which ones are not. I ended up buying from CARite because of the decent price they offered. The few things I wasnt a fan of was you commit to buying the car before signing any of the financing paperwork. You basically sign a purchase agreement and then come back to pick up the car and then sign all the finace paperwork then. I walked out of the dealer not knowing my monthly payment after signing the purchase agreement, (they aproximate the payment) They dont give you a full tank of gas which irks me when buying a 10k plus car. They dont haggle at all, which also annoys me personally. Also, the car I purchased only had one key, they did make it right by providing me another key but it required me to drive back down to their facility which requires my time and gas. They ended up not being able to make my key and sent me to a Honda dealer to get the key made. I would say I wasted over half a day and a quarter tank of gas in order to get a car with two keys! Not exactly doing right by the customer in my opinion. Overall, it is a no frills experience. I would say take your time understand the options and what they offer. Not sure how after purchase service will really be but Im hoping I dont have any issues with the car. I would recommend at least looking at the cars they offer, some are priced relatively competitive to other dealers.

would give this zero stars if i could TERRIBLE WORKERS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. my boyfriend and i came in a few weeks ago and we were looking for a new car and it was our first time so we were trying to figure out the process and what we would need. the woman there was so distracted by a kid running around the customer area. we stood there for 15 mins with no one even acknowledging us. when we finally were acknowledged by the woman she gave us papers to look at the cars. half of the cars werent even on the lot that we were interested in. we found one to test it she gave us no info on it just handed us keys. when we got out of the car after driving it around another carrite man came up to us while we were checking out the cars features and asked if he could take it because he had to go pick up something when we were clearly still looking at it. we gave him the keys because he was very insistent on it, went back inside and the woman was like oh yeah that happens a lot. (so thats their idea of being customer friendly? i dont think so.) then when we told her and this other man (who i would assume was manager and he had glasses on sitting at his desk) he said there was no way we would be able to get a car and refused to even help us figure out what we would need to do it get the car. while we were trying to figure this out he took a personal call and at that point we just left. we walked out so discouraged and the woman and the guy were so unhelpful it was disgusting customer service. we then went over to a ford dealership and we drove off the lot within two weeks with a new car. funny how this joke of a manager said there was no possible way anyone would sell us a car? I highly suggest to go anywhere but this place. worst customer service ever and not a fun experience for getting a car.

ARC UNION
Not sure why I am listed as ARC UNION but I can say this..... I purchased a used Honda Accord 2013. A decent price by all accounts, all things considered. Had a few issues (not all that minor either) and they took care of them immediately, gave me a loaner car and kept my car and told me they wanted to make sure my car was "perfect" and wanted to make sure I was completely happy with the car! The customer service, which I am always very skeptical of, was the best I have received, anywhere, in a very long time! Ashley, the person I bought the car from, is very easy-going and professional! That being said, I did erie away from the dealership and barely made it to the gas station, as it was on "E". From my lengthy experience in buying cars, I have never driven away without a full tank of gas. A courtesy I am sure, but a real negative in customer service in my opinion! Had a few issues, seemed to possibly be electrical, but still waiting to see. Oil said there was only 30% life left, a simple oil change is all....? So that was a concern, and chips in the paint on the hood. Supposedly all of this is being addressed, and they did not hesitate to have me bring the car back to address these issues. So, based on my experience so far, I would go back there, and/or recommend family/friends to go there. I will have to update when I actually get the car back.. I am very concerned after reading the review s about the false CARFAX. I will be very angry if I find out this was a damaged car! I will also contact the attorney generals office because in this day and age, if they knew about it, it should absolutely be disclosed! I dont know anyone who has money to throw away, and I certainly dont!

I went to CARite, and found it to be one of the better buying experiences I had. The selection is limited to cars newer than 3 years, generally off-lease and relatively low miles. Brands available at the Windsor Locks location are limited to Honda, Toyota, Nissan and Hyundai. When we arrived, staff explained the concept. They gave you a list of their current cars, along with a map showing where the particular car was parked, and to come back inside the building if you had any questions. That was it, no pressure, no constant hovering, leaving you to browse through the available stock. If you were interested in a car, you simply wrote down the last four digits of the stock number, and they let you test drive it on your own, no salesman. When they say no pressure, they actually mean it! When you find a car you wish to purchase, you "reserve" the car, no deposit required. They also go over teh cars vehicle history and show you a CarFAX report. CARite is a one price dealership, and for the vehicles we looked at, their prices were competitive or better than other area dealerships. They have a table that lists the prices, dealer conveyance fee, taxes, and registration fee, so you can see exactly how much it will cost without having to calculate it yourself. CARite does offer financing should you need to go that route. I did not, so I cant offer any comment on that. Staff was fantastic and clearly take pride in what they do, making this easily one of my best vehicle purchasing experiences. Those of you who like to haggle may be disappointed, but for those who generally dont like to haggle, but still want a good deal would be very well advised to visit.
