I’ve only shopped and purchased for diamond jewelry twice in my life (engagement and Christmas). You’ll hear the same spiel at all the locations you shop including 4c’s, double appraisal and self examination with jeweler’s magnifying glass. Although I listened, none of these were a persuasive factor in my purchase decision because: • If an appraisal is what a willing buyer would pay and seller sell assuming neither is under any obligation to buy or sell, why is the diamond selling for less than that? • I’m not a gemologist. It would have to be a very blatant flaw for me to be able to identify it using a jeweler’s magnifying glass. I’ll be honest, I’ve never seen a flaw in any diamonds I’ve ever viewed with a magnifying glass Therefore, I guess I must have only viewed perfect diamonds, but I doubt it. If you’re shopping for diamond jewelry, do your comparison shopping. I started out at the jewelry chain stores located near where I live. They all had sales but for the 1 carat size round diamond stud earrings I was looking for I was amazed that the price was the same at all three stores! I began wondering if this was some sort of price fixing scam going on. I was only aware of the Jewelry Exchange from their television commercials. I’m from the South Shore of MA. So traveling to the Jewelry Exchange in Sudbury is a little out of the way. None-the-less I had to make the trip to determine if they could live up to what they say in their commercials. The first think I noticed is they had significantly more diamond stud earrings on display than the other stores. In addition, each had an accurate carat weight on display with the earring. I was surprised to learn that 1 carat is actually a range of weights between .96 and 1.04 (if my recollection is correct). Each of these was separately priced as opposed to a set price per carat weight as I was led to believe from the other stores. I viewed a few sets of earrings and identified one set that I was interested in (or better stated my wife would love and I’m certain will be noticed by others when she wears them). The retail price for these earrings was less than the sale prices of the stores I had looked at earlier. In addition, they were on sale! I don’t know if the sale was for a period of time or continuous like it seems the jewelry industry operates, but it was still additional savings from what the other stores offered. Where I was looking at spending $1,500 at the other stores only cost me $1,179 at the Jewelry Exchange. A savings of $321 or 22%! Oh, did I forget to mention, they offered me free cleanings on the earrings for life with a copy of the sales slip. Sudbury is a long way to go for a cleaning, but I’m certain we’ll be back for more jewelry in the future. Thank you Jewelry Exchange!

I was in the market for an engagement ring and shopped a number of places over the past few months. In early June I went to the Jewelry Exchange in Sudbury MA and knew quickly after dealing with Priscilla that I would be doing business there. The prices were unbelievable and the staff was extremely patient and helpful. It was a very comfortable environment and I never felt pressured by any of the staff to make a purchase (probably seeing that they do not work on commission). I spent around three hours there on my first visit looking at a number of different stones until I found one I liked. At various points, the sales staff would agree with me on my choices even though the diamond I liked was not necessarily the most expensive one I could have bought on my budget. The money I saved gave me the chance to select an amazing three stone setting that I never would have thought I could have gotten before. For a mere 20 dollars I was able to put the setting and the stone on reserve for THREE WEEKS! During that time I came back in to look at new stock which came in once a week and compare it against the diamond I originally selected. I was told at any time I could swap the diamond or setting for another if I found one I liked better during that period. The time I was given to make the choice that I did gave me total confidence in my decision! The final setting was amazing and the ring is gorgeous! I was 100 percent satisfied with my experience and my final purchase! After going to a number of jewelers and interacting with them and comparing prices, the Jewlery Exchange in Sudbury was the best choice by far! I would recommend them to anyone and I plan to return in the future!

Our experience at The Jewelry Exchange in Sudbury, MA was exceptional. In May 2016 ,my girlfriend and I went to just look at engagement rings and get an idea of how much the particular design that we wanted was going to be. We were greeted by several employees and ended up working with Patti Parker. Patti was wonderful in helping us see what the ring design we had in mind was really going to look like. She showed us settings and several diamonds to choose from. She explained everything to us very clearly, and we learned a lot about diamonds. She encouraged us to choose what we felt most comfortable with in price and quality. We decided on a custom designed engagement ring that was perfect for us. It took The Jewelry Exchange two months to get the perfect diamonds for our ring. We waited patiently and appreciated their diligence in finding exactly what we wanted. Patti kept us informed throughout the process and we always knew what the status was. Last week we picked up the ring and we absolutely love the ring. It was well worth the wait to get what we wanted. Since my girl had never owned a ring as gorgeous as this one, we decided to get it appraised to get it insured. The appraised value is more than twice what we paid! This shopping experience was well above our expectations. We will definitely shop here again and we will also tell everyone we know how great The Jewelry Exchange really is.

I recently purchased a very high end engagement ring for my fiance. Spending so much money, I wanted to do a lot of research. I spoke with vendors in the "Diamond District" of New York, I went to 6 different jewelry stores locally and looked into buying the diamond online and setting it separately. In the end I landed on The Jewelry Exchange for one reason, price. After a bit of negotiation I was able to get a diamond just slightly cheaper than if Id purchased the stone online (hard to do) and was able to have it set. Even though I could have paid cash they offered 0% financing weeks after we landed on a price, so I knew that cost wasnt baked in. Long story short, the deal was awesome and Im very confident about what I paid. Why 4 stars? The customer service isnt great. If you are looking for an "experience" while shopping for a diamond and having store that your fiance can be proud to go back to if need be, The Jewelry Exchange isnt your place. Some of the other stores I went to had viewing rooms and complimentary water and juice. They were very clean and nicely decorated and displayed. I think the reason my diamond was cheap was because they dont care about any of that. A lot of woman do care though, so take it into consideration. Overall, great experience and Id recommend it.
