DISHONEST, DECEITFUL, UNPROFESSIONAL!!! Heres a timeline of my WORST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER!!! WEDNESDAY: I get in contact via email with Benjamin Martinez, the fleet/internet manager regarding a used car. I asked him whats the best they can do on the pricing. I told him that I wanted to negotiate a price before making any plans on going out there. I would have to take my 8 month pregnant wife and 2 year old kid with me. Those with young children and a pregnant wife will understand how hard it is to go anywhere let alone a 2 hour car drive EACH way. He told me to throw an offer. I offered $8k OTD and that I can come Saturday morning if a deal is met. He said hell ask his manager and comes back with a counter offer of $8,500 OTD. I politely declined and thank him for his help. He replies back saying he does not want to lose my business. He said that they cant hold the car for 3 days but can hold it the whole day Saturday. I said ok. FRIDAY: I text him at 8:30PM which is half an hour before closing. I asked him if the car is still available and if so to put it on hold for Saturday. I reiterated to him in the text that I have a far drive and was planning on leaving the next morning at 8ish. He texted back a little bit after 9pm and told me its on hold and we are good to go. I told him I would see him tomorrow at 10ish. SATURDAY: I leave the house at 8am. He calls me at 8:50 and my wife speaks with him since I was driving. He asked us where we were because someone else had come in to see the same car. My wife told him our ETA was after 10am. He said ok. He calls back at 9:30 and speaks to my wife again (40 minutes away from dealership). He now tells my wife they are selling the car to the other customer that came in. He said his manager said its against policy to hold a car. Now Im thinking then why did you tell me that you can hold it in the first place!?!?! This is EXACTLY why I wanted to negotiate a price AND asked them to put the car on hold so that I dont waste my time driving out there for nothing. I dont get to spend much quality time with my family during the week and for them to waste half of my Saturday is unforgivable.

The team at Fiesta Ford could not have been better! I came to the dealership with several needs from them. In fact, one afternoon I just dropped off some paperwork and said, "look, here is my situation and explained the details to Marcos. I told Marcos, "I cant be here for hours, Ive had less than great experiences at other dealerships and I dont want to waste more time. Let me know if you can work something out, and call me!" That afternoon, Marcos called to tell me they could indeed help me, Ford would take care of me (as a returning customer) and to come back to the dealership to look at the options on cars and the appropriate financing available. While I did not get my "love car - a trade in for my current Mustang for another Mustang", I did get something that was within my budget and worked well for my needs. Marcos reaffirmed that I was just in transition and they would love to have me come back to trade in a year or two to a new Mustang. I intend to do just that! This is a shout out to Marcos and his manager and the finance team for helping me make a great decision and worked with me during the process. Also, while I was sitting in one of the offices, I overheard another salesman talking to someone one the phone. He was just as courteous, kind and really went into depth about options to the customer on the phone; then extended an invitation to come in, just like they did me. As a former Director of Sales for a luxury hotel company, I was impressed with the level of service, the non-aggressive approach by the Ford team and the way they handle their customers. So even though no one knew I was listening and this conversation had no bearing on my circumstances, I wanted to let the team know to keep doing a great job. You may not think anyone is listening or observing.....but we are! I feel like I have a new Ford home here in Coachella Valley and very happy with my decision!

Two stars for dealer cleanliness and for Tyler, the sales associate. He went above and beyond to help me out. The rest of it is no good. The fleet manager seemed to be on the cell phone most of the time since the time I got there and I had to wait for him a few times to get an answer. I went in the the Cat City dealer because I was told by the internet sales team that the truck I was looking for was at that one and not at the Indio location. Theyre sisters stores. It clearly said on their website the truck was in Indio but I was assured is wasnt. Anyway, Tyler and another team member took me over to Indio store and I got to drive back the truck I was hoping to buy. I was told by the internet sales team and anyone can see this on their website that I was going to get a "special price" on the vehicle. It even has a link that says Get Special Price after you give them some info. Its the managers attitude that made these guys fall short on the star rating. The guy wasnt willing to budge on the price. I already had my own financing so I wasnt going to fill out their application and he definitely didnt like that. I had no trade that they could low ball me on so he didnt like that either. So he says to me, "So what? You want like $500 off?" I asked him about the Special Price I was supposed to receive. I figured it would be around $1-1.5K off the price. I obviously went in low on my offer but it was his response. Just a plain, "Not going to happen." Its alright Ill take my $30K and get a truck elsewhere. My advice to all consumers out there. Go through your own credit union and if the dealer swears they need to run your credit on their side its a lie. All they need to do is talk with your CU and they take care of everything. ***Update 2/21/17*** I saw that truck a week ago on sale (on their website) for a little less than what I was offering them the day I was in. What a shame.

Stephen was very friendly and professional. I needed unique options because I play in an orchestra and carry around string instruments and other equipment to concerts. He asked very good questions to find out the specific things I would need. The first option we drove wasnt quite right, so he asked some more questions about what it was I didnt like and showed me another option that would better suit my needs. The 2nd option was perfect and since I live down the street from the dealer we test drove my new Murono to my house to make sure my string bass would fit in the back. I felt very comfortable doing this with Stephen and found out that some one he works with lives across the street from me! Stephen and I also found out, through the great questions he asked me about what I needed in a vehicle, that we have worked and know some of the same people. literally 6 degrees of separation. Stephen also knew I had a time crunch the day I was looking because I had to pick up my 7 yr old from school. We talked about what I wanted for payments etc and he told me to come back later. I literally was so happy I wasnt going to be late to get my daughter I could have hugged him! Later my husband stopped by to look at the car and had a pleasant experience with Stephen. He said it was the easiest transaction with a car salesman he had ever experienced. Thank you Fiesta Ford for such a great experience and for hiring professional and happy people like Stephen, Edgar, and Ron!!!
