I want to support Hannaford as a business and I don´t mind shopping there, except that each and every time they either forget to ask if I would like a bag, or when I tell them I´m all set they forget and bag it anyway -- then I end up feeling guilty about saying anything because I don´t want to make their jobs harder. I know it´s a small thing, but it´s big to me -- I feel like I´m drowning in plastic bags I didn´t want. And we live right by the ocean, it seems like it should just be so standard to train employees to ask as part of their spiel, ¨Hey, would you like a bag?¨

I am familiar with the Hannaford brand of products at my local Food Lion store in Virginia. I knew there were Hannaford stores in New England. I was happy to visit a quality grocery store while travelling to Bar Harbor, ME. The store was clean, organized and the staff was pleasant. I look forward to returning there on my next visit.

Best place to shop in when you are on vacation at Acadia. A lot of other convenience stores on this island will charge much more than what Hannaford prices are at. The only other place in this area that has a full assortment of groceries is Southwest Food Mart and it doesnt come close

Open year round, good prices, fresh produce and meat. Decent selection of everything from basic ingredients to health food options, liquor, beer, cider, etc. Great one stop shop, especially in the winter when less on the island is open.

I really hate when I go in to buy a sandwich and have to remake it myself because your employees dont know how to put a sandwich together!!! its annoying as hell. its really not that hard especially if they make them every damn day!!!

Everything you need is in this store. Can get a little bit crazy at times, but they always have plenty of employees working. Parking is a little dicey but in general, you can usually find a spot. A+ store and A+++ employees.

Even when the store is so busy they are totally packed with people, the store associates are always friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. If I was that busy Im afraid I would be crabby. These folks are great!!!

Happy to have this grocery store in Bar Harbor, it is not great but good enough for sure. Has local blueberries when in season, etc. No big bakery or fresh prepared foods or anything like that.

Very clean, well lit, good selection of canned, bottled and fresh food. Prepared sandwiches pretty good, too. Good sliced meat deli and fresh fish displayed on ice.
