I like the eye doctor. The sales staff dont seem trained to adjust the glasses so they fit properly. I had to go back twice for an adjustment so they were seated on my nose properly. This is a tricky adjustment and for me, it feels right and looks balanced correctly after the adjustment, but after a couple hours the dreaded red dents on both side of my nose appear under those little nose pads and it is painful. After some fiddling with them myself, I finally got them to sit correctly. One day while complaining about my glasses and their cost, I learned from a co-worker she ordered her glasses online from zenni at a fraction of the cost compared to an optometrist or ophthalmologist. I am currently "shopping" and cant believe the prices of just the frames. Seems like there is a 10-20 times markup if you buy them at a brick and mortar store. I like to support local businesses whenever I can but not with that much of a price difference - what a rip-off! Youd think they could afford to stay open as long as the rest of the stores in the mall, but they close early. For as much money it costs to lease each square foot in a mall, it is such a waste of money if a stores hours are shorter than the rest of the mall stores. I suppose they can afford it because of the prices they charge. Ill go to LensCrafters for the exam and Rx, because they are convenient and Dr. Miller is good (the mall is across the street from where I live). Then Im going to try zenni. You need to do a little extra measuring (the site shows clearly how to do it) and send the measurements along with your prescription. The website also shows how to adjust the glasses if needed. Considering the added cost of the lenses, I imagine I can get eyeglasses for $12 to maybe $50. Plus, there is a choice of over a thousand in just the Womens frames. If it doesnt work out, I would have at least learned something without spending much money. The last pair of glasses I bought from LensCrafters cost several hundred dollars and I think I even had a coupon! Same for the pair I bought before my current glasses. I chose one of the "designer" frames which had metal ear pieces. After the top finish rubbed off, my temples were exposed to whatever metal was under it. I noticed a red sore growing on one side, put 2 and 2 together and figured it was caused by the inferior bare metal against my skin. The perceived quality of Designer frames simply doesnt exist. So I coated the spot on the ear pieces where the finish had rubbed off with clear nail polish and the sore went away. (That is a good tip for any jewelry that doesnt get along well with your skin.) I dont hate LensCrafters, but thought they deserved at least one star. If it werent for the huge mark-up, Id give them 3.5 stars.

This store never seems to have enough staff on duty, so you will be hurried through anything you need by a stressed salesperson. This led to a very negative experience for me. Instead of listening to what I needed, a salesperson ordered my frames in the wrong color. Once informed of this, the salesperson found out that he could not order them in the correct color, but never called to inform me. I needed these for an upcoming vacation and was running out of time, so I stopped in to see if I could just purchase the original pair in the wrong color. I waited for twenty minutes before a salesperson was available to assist me. After looking for them for an additional twenty minutes, the salesperson told me that they probably sold them. She was also unable to find my information attached to any evidence of a frame order or request in the computer system. I have bought multiple frames from this location over the years, but I will never again visit this store or purchase from any LensCrafters.

I know its a chain, but Im dissatisfied even when taking that into consideration. First, I order a pair of glasses and they give me the song and dance about how much thinner high index lenses would be. Glasses arrive. Theyre thicker than what I had before, and my prescription was WEAKER. I didnt like the frame and exhange it. I figure I may as well save some money and go with my regular polycarb lenses. Those are even thicker than the high index, and one of the lenses has a defect that causes a ripple effect. I take the glasses to Kent Optometric, and they replace the defective lens. When I get the glasses back, the new lens is half as thick as the one from lenscrafters. To sum up: lenscrafters uses substandard materials, offers unacceptable explainations about why what they tell you and what you get dont add up, and just pale in comparison to a local optometrist. Im never going back.

Nice place and the staff is cooler than the coolest of beans, pardon the 90s lingo. But I think it is kinda weird that they have you take off your prescription corrective spectacles to try on other corrective spectacles that dont have prescription lenses. Because if you have bad eyes, like 100% of the patrons at this business, you dont actually know how the glasses that are being sampled look on you. Its like test driving a car from the passenger seat. My only real complaint is the carpet. It must look good blurry, because people with 2020 vision like me find it hideous.

After reading all the negativity I just dont get it. Never had a bad experience, doctor always great. Had 1 pair of glasses that kept falling down my nose. I went back explained my displeasure they replaced them with a more expensive pair that fit a lot better and they covered the difference. I dont know seems like good customer service to me. Relax mr. and mrs. Public these folks are well trained and very professional. Thanks everybody :)

The eye exam was fine, and Dr. Miller was awesome. However, the cost to go there versus going to somewhere like visionworks is unbelievable. All in with insurance it cost me $55 to have my eye exam performed. And the worst part of that $$... I DIDNT WALK AWAY WITH ANY CONTACTS OR GLASSES!!
