Absolutely dreadful experience. I ordered a motor from them a several months ago for a project car. Since this was my first time purchasing a used motor, I was unsure about purchasing their motor, but they kept reassuring me that every motor was inspected by their mechanic. Further, every motor would be started and they would run a compression test before sending it out. They dont ship to residences, so I had to contact some friends who own a business in my city and pick it up there. Well, Im a student, so in my spare time, I worked on this car. I did about 3 days worth of labor myself to get the engine in the car. Hooked everything up, turned the key, and got nothing. Called them immediately, and they kept reassuring me that the engine had been started, and that it was good, etc etc. So I spent the next few weeks and months running textbook diagnostics to figure out what was wrong. Checked all electrical, got a new battery ($100+), and a new starter ($200+). I called every time I turned the key and got nothing. Each time I called, the clerk would say that so-and-so wasnt in, and that they would call me back. Over the course of 5 months (during which the warranty actually expired), they did not return a single phone call. I always had to call them. FINALLY, I get a hold of them one day, and after several questions, the clerk admits that THEIR MECHANIC WAS ACTUALLY NEVER ABLE TO START THE MOTOR. They violated the original warranty that every motor was checked out, i.e. they lied and pushed off a bad motor on me. I spoke to the manager several times, and each time he was completely rude and unhelpful. I was furious. I had wasted hours and hours. I sent them several formal emails, and an estimate from a mercedes mechanic to correct their blunder and fix the motor. They never acknowledged it. Eventually, they found me a replacement, but refused to ship it to me. I was fed up, so I just sent someone to pick it up. Several important components were pulled off the replacement, that were ON the first motor I got, including the flywheel & flex plate, and various other core brackets. TL;DR: Youre better off buying a rebuilt motor from a reputable source. K&K is a complete waste of your time and resources.

I can not say enough about K&K motors! I will start with David. This guy is top notch. From the time i called he was great. I just knew i called the right place. I headed in to get my rear end change in my silverado. As soon as i walked in the door they all was on it and made sure i had a SAFE place for my trailer as i have customers belonging on it. David let me park it at HIS place that was all fenced. Then he took me uptown to a nice hotel and told me they would have me out by noon. In the back of my mind i saying "yeah right" but you know what. I called this morning and David said probably around 11 or so and they was putting the finishing touches on it now. I just cant thank you guys enough!!!! This is to David if you read this.: You do not know what i have just been thru with 2 different shops over the last month but if everyone had your motivation and customer service there would have never been any issues that im going thru now with them. You are a A+ dude! Thank you VERY much for what you did for me.

There motors are not inspected by a mechanic they are inspected by a dismantler even if they know nothing about cars and they have A supervisor will call him G Mr G and he likes to throw temper tantrums and cussed his coworkers out and try to fight them until he gets called out and the owner of the company does nothing about it he just lets it go on I know this because I worked there if you want quality used parts your best bet would be too go elsewhere as in the last comment left on here the man said no one would get back with him thats because they dont care about customers how could they when they dont care about their own employees
