My son purchased a moped from Wholesale Motorsports in Brighton, Michigan. On line advertised price was $542.29 however after all said and done, purchase price was $885.77. AT THAT POINT, WE SHOULD HAVE WALKED AWAY. The moped was paid for in full and picked up during Wholesales Saturday business hours by 2 of my sons. After my examination, I was absolutely shocked that wholesale actually shipped the moped in the condition that it was in....Front wheel wobbled, electric starter did not operate, rpm tach did not operate, blinkers only blinked in one direction on display regardless of selected direction, the trunk fell off, and there were numerous dents in the plastic body parts. THIS WAS FOUND AFTER 2 HOURS OF OWNERSHIP!!!!. The moped was returned to Wholesale and they initially attempted to write up a service charge of $75.00. After objection, they provided on the write up invoice that "diagnostic labor waived until further inspection". We went to pick up the repaired moped today, 08/17/16 and I could not believe my ears that Joe Nagy {manager} presented me with a bill that he stated was for a replacement battery. I reminded him that the moped wasnt 1 day old when returned to Wholesale. Joe then became verbally aggressive continuously asking me if I was declining to pay the bill. He then asked me if I would like him to put my old battery back in the moped. After I stated that I was not going to pay for another battery when the first one was defective and did not last 1 day. Joe then made the statement that it was ok and that he would make it up on another day. After about 15 minutes of waiting for my sons moped, the service technician rode the moped out to my vehicle. I expressed my displeasure of Joe Nagy attempting to charge me for repairs to a moped that was not even a day in my possession. The technician then explained that the charges were for shop supplies, oils, & cleaners. I asked why 2 different people gave me 2 different explanations for what the charges were actually for. I loaded up and secured the moped and left as soon as I could. After returning home, I found out that friends just picked up their moped from wholesale the other day after wholesale charged them for a replacement engine to correct a lack of speed issue only to get the moped home and it was still doing the exact same thing. I absolutely can not believe that Wholesale Motorsports are such ripoffs. Once the sale was completed, everything changed. They cant even get their stories straight for what they are actually ripping off people for. The manager, Joe Nagy is a shyster. FYI: Carter is a young man just doing his job. The older, thicker body sized service technician is just an employee also doing his job. Someone please give these 2 jobs so they can get away from such dishonesty. Look at the other reviews. A lot of consistency. Good luck!!!

The sales pitch was laughable, I didnt mention to the guy Ive been making a living working on cars for 15 years as him thinking I was ignorant and would appreciate that "those ugly welds that are done by hand by a couple Chinese guys are far superior to any robotic weld" was pretty funny. I went there with the intention of leaving with a new go kart for my kids and just needed to put my eyes on a few to be able to make a decision. I do not advise paying the extra for assembly as I did, since after approximately 15 minutes of riding, the parking brake and shift linkage both came loose and left the kart stranded and after further inspection, I discovered several other loose fasteners which could have led to safety and mechanical issues. I had been told by the wonderful salesman that Id have a heck of time assembling myself as all the instructions were in Chinese and nothing was labeled, which after going through the included paperwork, found out that was completely false. It even came with all necessary tools to assemble. I was planning on surprising my kids when I got home so I wanted a preassembled kart regardless but didnt appreciate being lied to. One more thing of importance is the engine in this particular kart had been severely overfilled with oil causing oil to get drawn up through the pcv system and not only foul the spark plug within the first hour of operation but also start leaking out of the air filter onto the hot engine causing quite a bit of smoke which was a bit concerning. This was after they had performed a safety and mechanical check of the kart before I loaded it up and took it home. But alas, after working the bugs out, my kids are having a blast on their new go kart. My advice would be to do your research and know what you want before you go here and youre likely better off assembling and safety checking yourself.

To be clear, the 1 star rating is not meant for Beth. She was great. The rest wouldve gotten 0 stars if I could. Beth really helped me out after I was sent the wrong part. I had ordered a new rear shock for my sons coolster dirt bike. When it arrived it was clear it was different than the original. No big deal, these things happen. When I put it on, and my 80lb son sat on the bike the back fender sank almost to the rear tire. When I called, I was asked to send pics of each shock which I did and was ensured the problem would be fixed. The next day I called for an update. The gentleman I had talked to was out for the rest of the week, which I fully understand couldnt be helped. The problem was when the guy I then spoke with said there was absolutely nothing he could do for me (or more likely nothing else he was willing to do) other than send the first guy an email and wait. He made zero effort to address the problem. When I told him I couldnt wait because we were planning on taking the bike with us on vacation in 4 days and really needed the correct part, he told me there was NO WAY I would get the part by then. Even though he hadnt even bothered to ask what part I needed. I still have no idea if he put forth the smallest effort to sent the email out. After having not heard back for awhile I called back and talked to Beth. She had the correct part sent out to me and a return stamp for the returned shock emailed to me all within a couple of hours. I received the new shock in 2 days even though the first guy told me getting it in even 4 days was not possible. Thank you Beth! Your coworkers should really follow your example.
