Hi, I happen to know for a fact that Doris is one of the friendliest and most affordable market in Pembroke Pines. I cant understand when I read the reviews how misleading they are. For starters the fruits and vegetables are very cheap in price and very fresh. In fact, they are not the waxy over priced tasteless variety such as the ones from Publix and Wallmart. The seafood department crew actually knows what they are selling an a lot of their products come in fresh from the boats. The meat dept. folks are the sweetest. I walk in their on a tight budget and they have always gone out of their way to accommodate my family. If you are not sure as far as quality...beef should smell sweet and darling it is the freshest by far. They also cut the beef correctly and trim it all the way so when they way lets say a piece of brisket...you dont get home, open the damn package and get the surprise of all fat and tendons concealed!! In Costco, Publix and Walmart it constantly happens. And yes...al these grocery stores are happy to exchange it, but who wants to get ready to make dinner and have to go to return or exchange their steaks, or roast beef, churrasco, etc. My name is Maria and Im a chef assistant and pantry chef by profession so I do know what Im talking about. Now as far as the comment that they raised their prices after they remodeled....according to the cost of living all grocery stores...including the infamous Walmart has jacked up their price just about everywhere. Also, understand that Doris...like Whole Foods has a selection of what is refer to as "specialty items" which is very handy if you ant to try to hand on maybe some imported hard to find cheese or a certain olive oil. If you disagree with anything I have written and of course after you have done your own research with examples to back it up feel free to let me know. Reguards, Mrs. I. Maria Gonzalez-Triana

This has to be THE worse store! I would go in and spend at least $100 every weekend. I bought 3 yellow tail about 2 wks. I took it home, to cook it in the oven, as I have done MANY times before. Something was wrong with the fish and it was bad. I threw it away and after telling neighbors, they advised me to contact the manager and share. I did. He told me to come by for a refund and assured me that "Doris stands behind" their products. I went it with my receipt. The manager walked me to the Seafood Dept. and what followed was nothing short of TERROR, HARASSMENT, and EMBARRASSMENT! He started yelling at the seafood manager and then started yelling at me and telling me that I should have brought in the bad fish! This unfolded right in front of the customers who were there. He ended up giving me a $45. gift card, which I spent today and I will NEVER, EVER go back to that store!!! Thank God that I have MANY choices and I will take my business where I am respected and valued as a customer! STAY AWAY FROM DORIS ITALIAN MARKET!!!

When you walk in you will see the upgrades they made to the store. The aisles are NOT wheelchair friendly. I could NOT get to the salad bar because the space is cramped among other aisles. Making turns was difficult when there was room to navigate around the store. The closed in feeling didnt sit well with me either. They utilized the space to stock and sell more merchandise for their benefit. I for one will never walk/stroll into the place i used to enjoy going to every since their hollywood blvd store. The new store has made me go back to hollywood and start shopping at another store. The new Doris does not have the family value that it used to have back in the good ole days, now its just a commercial business and ran that way. The staff is rude and inpatient when you try to ask questions.

RUDE! I will never set foot back in this establishment. The meat department has employed the laziest and unfriendliest group of people. I have been here on more than one occasion and each time they cop an attitude when asked to cut meats. If its not already cut in the display be ready for an issue. Not to mention the prices here are outrageous. Funny thing is the Doris in Coral Springs has the most helpful and friendliest staff who go out of there way to help you, not to mention 10x cleaner with a much better variety.

Not impressed. Husband picked up a few items after hearing Paul & Ron boast about the market everyday Deli staff was not friendly at all. Meatballs were tough. Server did not provide much sauce. Stuffed mushrooms were bitter. Eggplant rolatini was ok. Also purchased 3 slabs of baby back ribs to cook. I will report on those later.

Great little market to get meats, desserts and of course traditional italian groceries. They have a nice selection of wines as well. Prices are pretty reasonable or even less expensive than your regular supermarket.

They have remodel the store and raised their prices terribly, its like they re trying to compete with Whole Foods. I went in two days ago, and left with nothing, I think first time ever since that store was open.

its unreal, three employees at bakery section carried on personal conversation while I waited there to place an order, finally gave up and walked out, guess they have too much money and dont need mine...

Love the deli section for their prepared foods. Havent yet tried something I didnt like. Meats, produce also very good. My favorite thing in the bakery has to be the chocolate cannoli.

Always a pleasant experience. A bit pricier than Publix for most grocery items, I mainly go for produce, meats, seafood, deli and bakery items. Their homemade croutons are the best!

The selection of genuine Italian products is awesome. Very clean and organized. Only drawback is that their hours could be better. They close way too early.

Great bakery and butcher shops. Specialty Italian products are great but regular grocery shopping should be done elsewhere.
