Unfortunately, my first time going to Eddie Bauer was very frustrating. I had what seemed like an easy Christmas gift exchange to transact. However, it all came down to an EB clerk with a bad mood. She didnt ask how the gift had been purchased, and assumed I had the credit card it was originally purchased with. When she found out otherwise, she became even more testy than she was before, issuing me a store credit. What she never said was how much that store credit was for, so when my wife went to use that credit (assuming a $27-something balance), we were both shocked to discover only a $10 balance. I was puzzled and ended going back to the store for an explanation. This all would have been avoided if the clerk (Sam 1) had simply been kind and thoughtful and asked how the original merchandise had been paid for...and then shown me exactly why the $10-something balance was on the store credit. I wont be returning to this EB anytime soon.

This is a small store that can get very busy, so be prepared to wait at cashier. The employees are very friendly and helpful. The quality of the clothes is excellent.
