Recently, I ordered an amazing child transportation system (which is a stroller for walking and has conversion kits for: hiking, running, & biking) through Chariot Carriers. Rack & Go was the "Fulfiller", meaning they would ship the items to me. They did ship two packages just like my confirmation email said; both packages were able to be tracked. However, 3 out of 8 items I ordered were missing and no word given on where they were/when they would come to me. I finally was able to speak with Steven Frind at Rack & Go. (Stevens name is the one on the UPS tracking slip.) He was unprofessional & extremely insulting. Never once did I hear an apology for the fact that almost HALF my order was missing. Instead, he had an "I dont care" tone throughout our entire conversation. He literally had the nerve to ask me "is it life or death that you have these things right now?" I asked to speak with someone else after we bumped heads and he claimed he was the only one there. (There were also marks on the packaging list that came attached to one of the boxes I did receive. Next to 2 out of 3 items which were missing from my shipment there were scratch marks- to me this indicated that someone may have known those items were not included.) When I asked him if he was Steven, he said yes. When I asked him if he was the person who put marks next to 2 of 3 missing items--he laughed at me! Never did I hear back from him! What an incredible lack of customer service! (Not that it should matter how much you are spending)... but I spent over $1300 for my products ($225 was for SHIPPING & HANDLING) and I think I have every right to be concerned when I dont get something I have paid for.

Very disappointing. TL;DR - I didnt get what I paid for (integral parts missing; totally unusable partial bike rack). This shop took zero responsibility and basically gave me the shaft. I ordered a the Thule Passage 910XT 2 Bike rack direct from the manufacturer site, and it was "fulfilled" by this store. The item I received was clearly a sloppy repackaging of someone elses return. The box and rack were both worn, the straps were in a loose bundle, one of the wingnuts was loose and just rattling around inside the box. Worst of all, the rack was missing one of its arms (and the corresponding attachments, of course). Called the store reporting the issue, simply hoping to get the missing parts; not even interested in any kind of full replacement, since the rest of what I received DID look like it could function properly. The guy on the phone kept calling me "buddy" and seemed flippant in general. He told me hed give my name and number to whoever "handles" issues like these and Ive not heard since (2+ weeks). Id be happy to amend this review if they ever do get back to me, but for now, I know I can do better elsewhere. Also, of course, a lesson learned regarding ordering from manufacturers as you have no control over what store will fulfill the order.

When I entered the store there was just one employee watching TV who did not even acknowledge me until I asked him about bike racks. He showed me the wall of options, gave me some vague info about what might fit my vehicle, and made it clear, by his answers, that he could not be bothered to really help. So, while I was trying to find out for myself how the different racks worked and what they cost, he drifted back to his desk to resume watching TV with a co-worked who had appeared from the back. I went in there intent on dropping $300-500; I had just bought a new $4500 bike that would not work with my current setup and was going to be driving all over NY/NJ with the bike the coming week. Due to the uselessness of the staff, they lost my business and I will be sure to let everyone I ride and race with know how poor the service is there. Looks like I will be visiting Campmor or Ramsey Outdoor tomorrow (winter is coming and I need a new snowboard rack too)...

Rack & GO is great! This past summer my family and I were going on a road trip and we did not have any idea how we were going to get everyone and everything up to the Cape. The staff at Rack & GO explained all of my options to me and then installed the rack and cargo box on my car while I waited! They even offered to take me to the mall so I would not have to sit and wait in the store while they worked. I would definitely recommend these guys... They know their stuff, have everything right there and know how to get it on your car... You cant please everyone...People always seem to take the time to complain about businesses when they dont do things the way you want and most people do not take the time to compliment when they have a good experience ... I was a very satisfied customer and have already recommended them to other people...and will continue to do so! Rack & GO definitely Racked My World!

These people were great! Though Im quite a handy person, Id had bad experiences with a highly-rated rack system I bought off the web a few years ago, so I decided to get some help. Their people were very knowledgeable, and made sure I understood and could manipulate the parts of the system I got before I left the showroom. Because the position of the rack system was important in keeping it secure, the person who installed it put little Sharpie marks around the feet on the inside of the door frame (where they arent visible), so I could line it up again easily if I need to remove it for whatever reason. Their wiring specialist even checked out my electrical-to-hitch connection free of charge! Their prices were very reasonable, and they didnt try to oversell me things I didnt need. I was REALLY thankful I found them.

They did a complicated job really well and took the time to explain my options and how each choice impacted the cost. They installed custom strips on a Honda HRV, which is difficult because the curved top limits spacing for the bars. They made sure that everything worked with my existing equipment (bike and kayak mounts) and everything came out with a clean professional look. The only thing that keeps me from the last star is how much everything costs, but it might not be fair to blame the retail shop.

I must have run around to maybe 6 stores in the greater Westchester area to get the parts I needed for my roof rack and the specific model ski rack I wanted for my car. These guys not only had everything in stock but they were so knowledgeable!! Other stores didnt have the parts I needed or didnt have knowledge about Yakima and Thule items. These guys stand out big time! Thanks Steve and Leslie, you have a customer for life!!

I bought a yakima skybox cargo carrier for our trip and they were extremely helpful. Very knowledgeable, enjoyed the experience. I went to the store but Im sure ordering from their website would be just as good.

Amazing service, from finding the right rack for us, explanation of the extender bars for small bikes ( which would not have fit without these) to the installation! Highly recommend !
