A.L.C. Grocery is a good old fashion grocery store that has been refined for finer palates and modern times. Proprietor and Purveyor Louis Coluccio does an outstanding job of sourcing premium ingredients that will kick your recipes into a higher gear. A.L.C. offers artisanal breads, pasta, fine cheese, olive oils and meats from the best butchers in New York. If you prefer not to cook, take a look at the display in the rear for an ever expansive collection of freshly prepared foods that are made on the premises. Tip: Do yourself a favor and get on the mailing list. A.L.C. Grocery hosts some pretty tasty food events too.

For now its a one star. Maybe after the holiday season Ill up my stars... Their selection is extremely limited, and not exciting... And thats besides the really crazy price tag. I mean I did find one or two things that I might consider getting, but I would definitely not go our of my way to come here. I tried their cappuccino thinking that for an Italian pricy place it might be above average, but it wasnt.

I would come here every day if it werent so pricey. The lunch menu is very fairly priced (about as expensive as panera bread but with actual fresh and unique items) but I always end up dropping $30 on some random salad that leaves me feeling like I overpaid somewhere. Aside from that, this place is a modern take on an old fashioned concept and I love coming here.

Great food - good people - what else can you ask for? Everything you order here is fresh and delicious. Their vegetable dishes are fantastic. Besides the good food and excellent service, I really love that this store became part of the community right away (see their front door in pic).
