I recently purchased my second Toyota Highlander... When I woke up that morning, it was not my intent to drive away in a new car. When my wife and I arrived, we were introduced to Dave Goduti. He seemed pleasant enough, greeting us with a warm hand shake and telling us the car was already warmed up and waiting for us. He was a jovial man with a big smile and a welcoming manner. He ushered us both outside and got us situated- I behind the wheel and my wife in the back seat. He directed us out of the parking lot, and onto the highway. Usually, the test drive is "directed" by the sales person- turn left... take next right... etc Dave told me just drive until I want to turn around. I appreciated being in charge and control. It gave me the feeling he was 1- confident in the cars capability to handle anything, and 2- respectful of me and my desires to get a good feeling for the car in my own way. During the drive, he got to know us as people, rather than just focusing on the car. He did interject little bits of info about the differences between my current highlander and this one- size differences, performance differences, features, etc. We headed back to the dealership, and asked me my thoughts. I told him it seemed like a good car, and was a good driving experience, though I wished I could have seen the AWD in action but couldnt imagine how. He instructed me to drive the car to the back of the property where the snow had not yet been plowed completely. I did as he said, not quite sure where this was going to end. He then had me drive through high deep snow banks, over icy patches, up/down steep inclines, and into conditions that more closely simulated realistic winter driving conditions. The car performed incredibly well, handling every challenge I posed to it. No snow bank, ice chunk, or slick patch was too much for the AWD feature. It was a highly unusual but incredibly valuable test drive experience. Dave wanted me to get EVERYTHING I wanted out of this test drive experience. We went back into the office and sat for a while. I was expecting this to be it, perhaps a "Let me know when your ready to talk/have a nice day" ending. But Dave instead sat and talked with us- asking us about what we wanted, what our concerns were, and getting a good idea of where we were coming from. We expressed our financial scenario with him and he listened sincerely. He was finally able to find a way to make it work for us- there was no haggling, there was no "this is my final number" game, it just was what it was. He didnt push us, he didnt pull us, he just presented the numbers, adjusting what he could to make it work. He wasnt really trying to "sell" us the car, but rather help us "buy" the car. It made a typically stressful situation far more relaxed. We werent first time buyers, but he removed a lot of the "been there/done that" feeling of jaded "car salesmen" attitude. Dave is a real asset to Toyota of Hartford. You are fortunate to have him, and I will be recommending him to friends and family. You can also expect me to contact him for my next Toyota. Thanks Dave! Marc Clemons- also made the financial side of the deal very easy. Even when we wavered back and forth on the wrap around coverage- he patiently went with us showing us the numbers, working out the details, explaining the fine text. Hes a fine upright individual who made his part of the buying experience as easy as it could have been. Thanks Marc! "Sunny" was also great, explaining all the add-on features available to us and making sure we were satisfied as well. Thanks Sunny!

We were in the market to buy a new vehicle and have been fans of Toyota for some time. We visited Hartford Toyota and within 5 minutes of circling the lot, we were greeted by Adam. This was our fist visit to the dealership, but our interaction with Adam was one of the key reasons for our return. Adam was professional, welcoming, knowledgeable, honest, and considerate. He asked all the right questions and went above and beyond to accommodate our requests. Our first visit was a pleasant one and we knew we were going to return to Adam and pick a vehicle out. Between visits (2), Adam made sure to keep in touch and offered to help answer questions and his assistance. His communications were professional and not overbearing. He personally gave me a call to let me know about new vehicles that arrived and new promotions that were currently happening. When we returned to the dealership, Adam gave 110% of his attention and made the process seamless. It was a cold and rainy day, but that only motivated Adam to provide even greater customer service. He was running around in the rain to bring vehicles under the overpass and offered us refreshments to ensure we were being attended to. Adam explained the details of the vehicle we decided on. He made sure the car was detailed, filled with gas, all elements of the car were properly working, and made sure we understood all features of the vehicle. I can write a book on how great Adams customer service was, but I am sure Hartford Toyota knows the quality and exceptional teammate they have in Adam. He made the experience worthwhile and did not give us any reason to look elsewhere. His commitment, respect, knowledge, and professionalism is what every customer should experience. After working with Adam, we had the privilege of working with Tony Mumtaz. Tony was super welcoming, open, honest, and helpful when it came to understanding the finances behind our vehicle. He provided great recommendations and advice on how to stay on top of payments, but also went above and beyond to make sure we were getting the best value (affordability and rate) possible. Tony worked with us and wanted to make sure our questions were answered with clarity and background. Our experience at Hartford Toyota was great. Customers visit dealerships with the hope to find a vehicle and not get sold a bunch of nonsense, at Hartford Toyota - you can expect quality, value, honesty, and confidence. Also, big shout out to Jim Webster for sharing a few laughs and making sure our process was going better than expected. Thank you to Adam and Tony for their help. In addition, thank you to all Hartford Toyota teammates (all business lines) for always checking up on us and making sure we enjoyed every interaction. I would recommend Hartford Toyota to everyone. Youll get an experience like no other.

Dishonest and crude. Having done a ton of research and confirming that the exact vehicle I was looking to purchase was at this location, I drove 3 hours to this dealership only to be duped. A week prior to contacting Hartford Toyota, my credit was mistakenly pulled at a Westchester location - through Toyota Financial. I have Tier 1 credit and was very cautious in confirming with Hartford Toyota that my credit would not be run again as these are hard inquiries. I received an email confirmation from Danielle Ruiz that it would not be and that the information would be gathered from Toyota Financials global database. When we arrived to the dealership, we were met by David Goduti, who was very pleasant and though he worked closely with Ms. Ruiz, seemed to have a very different story once we were at the purchasing stage. He brought over his Sales Manager, Ricky McCallister, Jr. who has absolutely no customer service skills whatsoever. Mr. McCallister stated that Ms. Ruiz was "young" and did not know what she was saying therefore regardless of the email she sent, it was a mistake and that I could either subject myself to another credit check or leave. He also stated that "most people who buy in Hartford have a score of 600 or below so they have to check again". When I objected and showed him the email as well as the financial document with score attached from Toyota Financial, he then stated that he was "offended" and that "he was letting me know what the deal was and that he could be back at his desk doing his work". At that point, I was ready to go. This gentleman has no consideration or empathy for customers whatsoever. I could not help but wonder if father or uncle owned the place, only to later find out that it was his fathers dealership. The original salesperson then brought out the Business Manager, Gloria Fernandez who was an absolute gem. She is honestly the sole reason as to why I purchased the vehicle from Hartford. BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THIS DEALERSHIP if you choose to shop here. The week prior to the purchase, I received dozens of texts and calls from David Goduti looking to secure the sale. As of this writing, I have not received a single call from him - not even the required follow up call to ensure that all was okay with the vehicle. My dad, who was present during the sale is also in the market for a new vehicle and had hoped to get one from Hartford the same evening. He is now working with the Mamaroneck location. If you value your credit and/or are looking for a fairly hassle-free and honest purchasing experience, I do not recommend Hartford Toyota whatsoever.
