August 2014, what I thought was a great experience with this company was not. 10/14/2015 my truck began to overheat so I called them thinking my warranty was still in effect. I asked them to look at it. For a quick $100, an inexperienced person fixed the radiator knob, of which he thought was broken. This is after he scared me by telling me there was a huge part missing. There was never a part there. Its the way the truck is built. Later confirmed by the mechanic who fixed my truck. I was going home and coolant began to come thru my passenger floor. I called them back, and they said bring it in. I did. This place is full of inexperienced people. I was told to drive around like that, and it will go away. After being stuck on the highway, crying and not sure what to do, I contacted the warranty company and they said my extended warranty has run out. It started the day I bought the car. What? How is that possible? I called them to see if they can fix it, and talk to the warranty company. Its been almost 3 weeks, and I am still waiting for a call back. The owner is on vacation for a month!!! The heater coil was broken and one of the rods connecting to the heater coil. No one wanted to touch the job because it involves going into the dashboard. Not even CAR NATION. Thankfully, I know good people and someone fixed it for me, for less than what CAR NATION was going to charge me, although I bought my truck from them. My truck runs beautifully and I now have a new mechanic who knows exactly what he doing. He even called to make sure I was ok. I am very discouraged with this company and I recommend anyone to do their research first, if you are a female, bring a knowledgeable man with you, and get copies of your paperwork. Please shop around for better customer service. I have been waiting for my paperwork for over a year. I requested copies from both the Leasing company and Car Nation. The rude receptionist, at CAR NATION claims that she dont know where it is. I called the finance company, they said I should have been received them from Car Nation. Lastly, I had to call the Lease company to get my extended warranty information. Does that sound stupid? Yes, because it is.

A little disillusioned today in regards to my 2005 Chevy Avalanche I bought at Car Nation.. By sheer accident I noticed masking tape on my rear drivers side door covering a tag. The tape was painted black, telling me my truck had been repainted. I ran a carfax and found out my truck had been in an accident in 2009.. I was told when I bought it that the carfax showed no accidents and had a clean record. I screwed up not the dealer cause I neglected to push to see the carfax after I asked to see it. Lesson learned even though this will most likely be my last vehicle. One of my several issues with Car Nation.. I brought my truck back to them with in the first month to tell them that the check engine light is on. I personally replaced 3 gas caps thinking that was the problem. When I brought it back to them about the issue.. All their mechanic did was reset the codes so the light would go out. Also before we bought the truck they were suppose to fix the brakes. I had to bring the truck back because they didnt do the job right and it was the rotors that needed replacing. On top of that the speedometer didnt work and they told me it would take one week to get the part and fix it. Well two weeks later my truck was ready and 2 weeks of my 30 day warranty was used sitting there. Well now I am going to have to pay $200.00 out of my pocket to bring the truck to comply with CT emissions. Another issue with Car Nation is when I showed them proof of an identical truck at another dealership with less mileage they would not go down in price what they did do was give me a bumper to bumper warranty for my truck. Well 5 months after purchase the transmission went and their so called bumper to bumper warranty cost me $1,500.

I am writing this review to prevent someone else from getting a junker car from Car Nation. The customer service looks good until you pay them for the car and ask them to repair problems on it within the legal 60 days period for buying a used car. Once they got the money, they gave us the run around so that they didnt have to tell you upfront they dont want to spend more money on the car. They supposedly guarantee you a free detail with the purchase of the car; they barely vacuumed it and nothing more. They tried every tactic in the dealers book and every lie to avoid fixing the car. We had the BBB involved and we are consulting a lawyer at this point. My advice to you if you want to buy a used car go somewhere else. If you want to be lied to, go there by all means.

Buyers Beware A month after signing a purchase agreement and waiting way too long for my car to receive the service that was agree upon, I finally got through to find out it was no longer available. They said it had a title issue. I received no call to tell me this? Seriously? Whether it had at title issue or not, (and I suspect they sold it out from under me) thats just bad business. All the above aside, its very difficult to get through on the phone and even more difficult to get straight answers. There is no sense of customer service here, and absolutely zero politeness or courtesy when calling on the phone. Do yourself a favor and go to a reputable dealer.

Worst experience of my life I payed 10 thousands dollars cash. And told the guy I wanted to finance 2 thousand... He ended up adding all this extra stuff that I didnt find out until two years later! That I am paying almost 6000 dollar loan?!? Even on my contract clearly states 2000 dollars... This has to be completely illegal. And I am not happy with the services. The owner and manager are not trust worthy! Stay away. Go somewhere else!!! Before you pay almost double of what they said you would. Oh yeah, forgot to mention with an APR of 33% also!!! If this isnt enough to stay clear from them then i dont know what is.
